      Mine say No Hunting No trespassing
      Trespassers will be shot
      Survivors will be shot again >> it has been that way since I found a lynx kitten huddled up to her dead mom on my posted property. Mom had been shot and left to die. Friends and I looked for a week to see if there was more kittens but could not find any maybe the a$$holes that shot mom took them. Lilly grew up to be a fine looking Lynx and sleeps in my bed every night, head on my arm and one paw on my chest her paws are larger than my hands. Love that cat hope I can live long enough to be with her for her entire life. At my age 70 that's not likely. Youngest son 24 says he will look after her and I know he will.

    8:20 How about quick and easy plastic welding? I presume this is HDPE. Especially at spots where anchor points for whatever do not make a lot of sense. Also this would avert unnecessary spots that can potentially start leaking. Especially relevant if you're really going to pressurize the tanks with air. I'm not sure about the price of a good hot air gun specifically made for for plastic welding and how difficult it is to not accidentally melt in a big fat hole 😱. maybe just a matter of a bit of practice on throwaway material I guess. You could patch up even bigger eventual damage with plastic sheets (of matching material type) from the inside. Welding them on with welding sticks on the circumference. May be hard to get enough ventilation when doing some welding from the inside. Poisoning from plastic fumes is no fun. A bouncing castle blower may be the right caliber but I presume those are expensive even to borrow.

      @theCodyReeder  5 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    Hi Cody, now the chance may be small but I would give it a shot, I want to send you some rare earth metal ore for you to extract in your precious metal refining series. The mineral is called Gadolinite and this especially contains 8 elements. If you are up to it I would like to send you a bit of it and it would be interesting to see how you would extract it. If somebody else is reading this, please like this so he can see this message. Ive tried emailing you twice but I didn't have any luck there and I tried on patreon. If you are interested Cody, I could give you some more information about the ore and pictures and then send it if you want.

    Just an idea but maybe while you have them and aren't using them, setup some sort of water collection for storing a large amount of rain water you can use with your diamond chainsaw.
    Something simple like tarp down on the hill funneling down into one of the tanks. You could collect plenty and way more simple than transporting water up there!

    • @EleanorPeterson

      Hi, Casey! It's what a lot of people dream about. I'm in Britain, a ridiculously tiny little raft of an island about two miles square adrift in the North Sea. No spare space round here!
      I think the problem with going off grid would be defending yourself 'legally' from intruders. You'd have to spend so much time stopping people taking your stuff, breaking your wind/water power generators, rustling your chickens, shooting your dog, raiding your garden, breaking into your home, driving off in your pickup truck, running off with your wife, that you'd never have a moment spare to enjoy the isolation.
      I spent some time in East Africa (Kenya) in the early 1970s. My dad was with the Flying Doctor Service. He said you could fly 500 miles out into the wilderness, set your Cessna down in the middle of nowhere for an hour's rest and within 2 minutes you'd be surrounded by local guys trying to sell you shoes or knives or honey or fresh-caught fish or get batteries for their radios. This planet's just packed with people; you can't get away from them!
      Maybe the fantasy of going 'wild' is more attractive than the reality... ;-)

      @@EleanorPeterson that is an amazing story ! True facts there, and thank you for your wise words 😎🤘🏻 i think I'd do just fine defending myself and my stuff, I've done it for years struggling growing up homeless as a child in northern pennsylvainia and Texas. Life has its tricks on everyone, it's all about learning and I am all for the adventure.
      I've been through much much worse than primitive, off grid survival for fun 😁 It would be the ultimate escape to be able to build and grow physically and mentally on a chunk of land I would own.
      Hopefully I can achieve getting some land, I swear that's all I need lol
