In total agreement Alan, watched endless TH-cam videos before we plumped on our 'ideal' layout. Just had a few days away and off again next week to fine tune what we need.

That was our plan too but Ally has gone off for the bank holiday to a static caravan with her daughter and grand kids so our next trip has been put back a bit.

Hi Alan when we went looking for caravans we came across a elddis with the same layout as yours with the separate rap round dinette near the rear and my wife fell in live with the idea which is good if you have kids and they can have a area off their own.but ours has grown up so been thinking of getting a mattress for ours rather than change the caravan to a fix bed.we both still love the van so would be a shame to change it for that reason.steve

Have owned an Orion 440/4 since new in 2013. Totally sold on the dinette layout which is becoming rare..
We use the front bed. (Takes 2 minutes to make up) Use narrow front table in diner area.
I’ve run a spur from the 240 volt socket that powers the microwave to a 13 amp socket (with usbs) on the side of the wardrobe by the shelf below the mirror.
The only problem we’ve had is damp at the very front of the van (see th-cam.com/video/DIqLGJrzsQo/w-d-xo.html)
