the filename might just be a purposeful mislead, like a troll. the devs often make misleading filenames for things to lead people in the wrong direction, like they did with the gummy flashlight by naming it "halt flashlight skin", or by naming blitz's models "rush's sister (& brother) lore lore lore".
maybe there could be two versions of the subfloor an anti-vine mode and a friendly-vine mode each would have a different story and objective where anti-vine is harder since you need to fight and kill a very large plant but in friendly-vine you would work with the plant to escape and the reason anti-vine is harder is because to enter anti-vine the door would be covered in vines and you would use the free shears at door 90 to get through but getting into friendly-vine would require the viridis effect in which the vines would untether and open the door and in all it would just be super cool if you could choose to be with or against the plant.
I already made a concept for the garden subfloor tho it differs quite a bit, here’s the conceptions : ROOM 160-161 (Room 160 Has A Hidden Entrance Like The Rooms, It’s a large lush room full of vines, & has a chance of shears to spawn in it, to enter the area where you enter the subfloor it’s a small crouching hole covered with shears vines behind a closet, after you cut it open & enter the hole you’ll end up in a water tunnel system, kind of like that one room in the mines, of course there will be side rooms but one of the dead ends in the tunnel system is a ladder surrounded by vines, when you climb it up, you enter a small lush room with the skeleton key doors & chains across it) REQUIREMENTS TO ENTER THE SUBFLOOR : Shears Skeleton Key 2 Lockpicks When you enter the subfloor all the rooms are lush-like rooms with garden tables from the greenhouse & tree’s growing inside them, & open rooftops so rain can pour down.. First 1-250 Rooms are underground lush rooms. (1 Exit Will Appear At 150) At Door 250, A ladder will appear that takes you to the outside rooms of the garden, meaning you’ve escaped the mines. Room 250-500 Will Be Outside In The Main Garden Rooms At Door 500 The Garden Theme Slowly Fades Away, & The Next 250 Doors Are In The Graveyard. He plays a sound & screen static before arrival. Glitch - of course we need glitch. Forsaken - Forsaken is similar to dread but he turns the lights grey & forces you to stand still or he will take off 30 health. Darkness - Darkness Hides In Closets & Waits For People To Open The Closet & He Takes Off 20 Health For Opening the closet he resigns in, you can see his red eyes & black smoke inside the closet whilst he plays a eerie sound (no he’s not like hide, & he can appear randomly in any closet) Lure - Lure only appears in the last 250 doors, he’s an entity that fakes himself as a crucifix you can pick up in the church, since the church is the hardest segment of the subfloor crucifixes are easy to find in the church, knowing it’s a church & all however some of them are fake ones that are possessed by an entity, lure takes of 15 hp. A 60 - Of course A-60 has to be in the subfloor because after exiting the rooms we release all the entities, A-60 Flickers the lights in the first 500 doors because The Rooms has no lights, however in the graveyard he blows out candles near alters signalling his arrival, & in the church everything depends on sound, a-60 can also come from the front. A 90 - with a-60, a-90 is obviously included, a-90 does his same strategy he does in the rooms however in the garden rooms he breaks 1 light signalling his attack. A 120 - A-120 dimly flickers the lights in the first 500 rooms however after that he doesn’t flicker anything, A-120 also has a chance of attacking from behind. I hope that we access the garden from The Mines cuz that would benefit my theory: Basically, I bet that all the floors with Curious Light in it (so The Backdoor and The Rooms so far, and most likely The Garden) are past versions of the Hotel, left behind and largely forgotten about, thus why they are hard to get to. The Rooms kind of just looks like a low-quality version of the Hotel, low-quality because it is from the past. The Backdoor looks like the Hotel too, except under construction or being renovated from the Rooms. And since we have Garden areas of the Mines (where you get shears and vine chests) I reckon those are the patches of greenery left from a once lush cave (like in Minecraft) before it was turned into a Mine, making the Garden subfloor the Mines from the past. Tbh I think the 'Garden Door' is just a teaser for The Castle, and it's called 'Garden Door' cuz it's in the Greenhouse.
That actually makes sense for the Garden to be a forgotten area of the Mines As for the Rooms, im pretty sure its a seperate thing from the other floors
I don't think it would be there. It's more likely in the mines which has a heavier vegetation focus. The door might be used in the subfloor but that's it.
My idea for an entrance is that in the first Mines Figure encounter, you can now go down there to get to the entrance. This is so that it wouldn’t be as long of a haul as The Rooms but still not immediately accessible from the lobby, because I am not a big fan of that for some reason. Also this is only if door 99 is just to permanently open the entrance or something
Honestly I doubt it would be in the hotel. I feel the Garden is supposed to be a subfloor to the mines, seeing how it doesn't have a single one. If it is in the hotel, then the hotel would have 3 subfloors (if you count the backdoors as a hotel subfloor) Or maybe the Garden could be accessed at multiple points throughout the run and the giant door in the hotel is just one of them. Maybe you have to go into the garden multiple times to get the reward for beating it. and it would encourage more players to want to go through multiple floors at once. Just a theory.
I think like the rooms and the back door the garden of will have its own light not curious light or guiding Light, rather it would have a "healing light" which would be the herb of virus but in light form and it would be green and the icon would be a leaf
Sometimes when finding a garden room with shears in it and chest there can be a doorframe looking exactly like the one in the picture you showed. The doorframe exists btw I’ve seen it
Your theory makes sense, add to it that those gate are very large and the herb could give you the strength enough to open them, maybe with a QTE where you have to type "e" quickly to gain momentum and force open the gates, otherwise the QTE won't work.
Idk I think the garden subfloor will be in the mines somewhere but I do think that the couryard statue and the room 99 door will also be subfloors or something regardless
I think that maybe the skeleton key trade from Louis could be a placeholder since it can't be used in the mines. Instead, it is a garden key you need to obtain from Louis, place it in the rift at the end of the mines, retrieve it in the hotel, and return it to door 99. This makes it feel as if it is still the subfloor for the mines.
I think its just called garden door because the green house is garden themed plus Mines doesn't have a sub floor yet so i dought they add a 2nd one to floor 1 Also they would need to match the lore because if the garden takes us to the minez on completion then how will figure end up in the mines unless he follows us to the garden sub floor but that would suck

My theorys is that you need a second player required and to get in u need him and u to have dhears and skeleto. Key bc my theorys is u need herb effect and 2 dhears bc it i think have 10 vined Doors and skeleton lock and effect if the herb required means u need dhears and skelly key in rift
I have a theory. Because the rock bottom achievement requirement to enter the mines was removed in the content update, what if you need to get to the end of the hotel and do something in room 99 in order to unlock the ability to go to the garden subfloor in the mines. Then you would be able to unlock the garden anytime without needing to come back to the hotel.
My prediction on how to access it: The door will be covered in vines and it will require shears to tear the vines, but that would be a bit easy so instead when you open the gate on room 100, backtrack to room 99 and lure figure to the door, and he'll bust the door down. Upon entering the room you'll see a minecart going down a track that leads to a different way of getting to the mines, and there the Garden Subfloor. like it?
This would be amazing, but maybe not for the mines as that'd just be too easy for new players to completely skip door 100 and miss out on what happens resulting in floor 2
you're doing too much with the figure thing, maybe take the key for the electrical room and inside the room which would be opened with the sheers is a door that needs the electrical key

no absolute way it would need both herb of viridis and skeleton key along with the shears, i feel like it would just be the herb and shears, as the skeleton key is not guaranteed to be found in a drawer and is only pretty much guaranteed in jeffs shop, which as you know only spawns once
You do a lever thing in the courtyard basement to open the statue, underneath the statue there was a garden key, and unlock the subfloor with it, that was my idea.
2:38 genuinely it doesn't fit I think you would need a lockpick to open it and then that small door inside would be requiring 2 shears uses and 1 skele key since the rooms are already locked behind 3 items so I think 4 for the next subfloor would fit
since the content update released 4 months after the mines update the garden subfloor might release 4 months or less after the content update (probbaly less because stream integration has to be hard to make)
My theory is for the guideing light statue it could be the exit for the garden sub floor. And if you try to go back to the gsrden sub floor at 99 it will be blocked by guideing light or boulders
Personally I doubt it would be in the hotel since the hotel already has the rooms and plus I feel like it doesn’t make much sense for it to be right at the end of the floor. I think it would make more sense if it was in the mines since the mines doesn’t have any subfloors yet
If you needed the Herb of Viridis then the Skeleton Key would already be used, and it will not be possible to access the Subfloor unless you find one that does not have to be purchased in Jeff's Shop but that may be very rare.
well it would require a friend or alt and rifting skeleton keys which i think would be difficult but worth it to have a permanent access after entering once
or perhaps when youve thrown figure out of the window, instead of the original room 100 area being blocked off, you could go out of the breaker room, get a candle, light it with the fires, go to the door and burn the vines down, along with having a lockpick or skeleton key
I've known this for a while, but haven't said it until now. I think the garden subfloor will be in the courtyard because if you search around it you eventually find a secret basement door that you can unlock with shears, and when you go down there is loot and snares (this is likely a placeholder for the actual subfloor). If everyone already knows this, then please let me know, because I've never seen anyone mention it before.

Here's my theory- the Garden's entrance will be in the Mines at a set door (like how the Rooms is at door 60 of the hotel). The door Cheddar keeps talking about is the _exit_ to the Garden, much like how the infirmary is the exit to the Rooms. I also hope a "Subfloors" tab will be added to the Play button that lets people who have beaten the Rooms reaccess them, and the same with the Garden.
I have a theory that the door will be in the nest's downstairs area and it will need a shears and skeleton key. Yes, skeleton key in the mines is possible as Louie gives it but it has no purpose in F2 "yet".
Only issue is that thats pretty rng based, unless he alwhas gives a skele key first trade (whixh could be made into a change, aslong as the item was valuable enough, since there are vined chest in the nest) it could really suck, something that made doing a few Rooms attempts atleast bearable is that skele key is GUARANTEED at jeffs shop, this is also why crucifix badge runs suxk, since he isnt guaranteed give you a crucifix annoyingly

Here’s my one question: why is it that LSPLASH made it so that you are GUARANTEED to get the shears in the Mines before door 160? Lush rooms in the Mines were quite rare before the Content Update, but they were intentionally made much more common after the Content Update

What about doing every floor like backdoors then the hotel (part 1) then the rooms then hotel (part 2) then that garden floor if it’s there then the mines
I feel like that you should gain a lot of speed to bust through the door instead of items. The only item to give you this amount of speed would probably be the starlight jug, because why would there be 2 subfloors in 1 floor? It would require you to beat a challenge to complete another challenge.
you can make an elevator for the backdoor, when it literally takes 15 seconds to enter it at max. and plus, doors only has 2 sub-floors at the moment, so just 1 not being accessible from the lobby doesn’t tell us anything.
Maybe if the elevator thing is correct the courtyard statue will open up and we will come out of it so to enter the subfloor you only have to beat the greenhouse once you access instead of the entire hotel
It might be in floor 1 99 or floor 2 69 just like in 69 in doors floor 1 we have free healing so it may give us some cutters to get items and they might add 10 slots back due to the fact that people want to kill many rushs
I think the garden subfloor will be available in floor 2 and the player will be able to access it but before accessing it you would need to find the sheers and the skeleton key and then you need to find a new item concept called the keycard to unlock it And then you will be able to unlock it and access it That’s what I think
i dont think this its gonne be in the hotel since theres already one for the hotel, so maybe the mines seem like more of a fitting place, overgrown rooms and all. just an opinion though
I dont really think, that you would need skeleton key cause then it wouldnt be possible do do every subfloor and floor 1,2 in one run. It would be possible tho cause you can find skeleton key naturaly but its really rare.
Maybe you get an achievement called Daddy got the milk why did it take so long enter the garden subfloor and you would get it similar to the fact that you needed the detour badge to enter the back door
what about like you need the herb of viridis because your health slowly drains and you need to open doors to regen it? might he too similar to the backdoor tho idk
Or you are only strong enough to open it with the Herb. Maybe pushing open the entrance makes you take damage, but with the Herb you’ll heal up to counter it.
you need Skeleton key for the Herbs and if u need skeleton key for the subfloor then thats impossible u use the key for herbs and then you cant use the key twice.. that was the only think i was not sure abt. just easiest way to open the door: Skeleton key + shears
Well, there’s an area for each floor. The hotel, and the greenhouse. The rooms and the garden. The mines and the sewers. Probably a subfloor tied to both. I’m assuming at least one or two subfloors for each floor, tied to each section of the floor
i need to correct you: to get the herb of viridis, you need a skeleton key, so if u got the herb of viridis and dont have a skeleton key, then how will you enter it.

Your theory makes sense, add to it that those gate are very large and the herb could give you the strength enough to open them, maybe with a QTE where you have to type "e" quickly to gain momentum and force open the gates, otherwise the QTE won't work.

I think that maybe the skeleton key trade from Louis could be a placeholder since it can't be used in the mines. Instead, it is a garden key you need to obtain from Louis, place it in the rift at the end of the mines, retrieve it in the hotel, and return it to door 99. This makes it feel as if it is still the subfloor for the mines.

I think its just called garden door because the green house is garden themed plus Mines doesn't have a sub floor yet so i dought they add a 2nd one to floor 1
Also they would need to match the lore because if the garden takes us to the minez on completion then how will figure end up in the mines unless he follows us to the garden sub floor but that would suck
i feel like if it were to require the herb of viridis it would be covered in vines then when you get close they would like untether and retreat into the ground but only if you have the effect
Another thing that proves this, if you go into the actual room behind the door, on the floor are two metal curves…? Or whatever, this actually would be used to keep the door in place if it was OPENED
My theorys is that you need a second player required and to get in u need him and u to have dhears and skeleto. Key bc my theorys is u need herb effect and 2 dhears bc it i think have 10 vined Doors and skeleton lock and effect if the herb required means u need dhears and skelly key in rift
The only problem with it being on floor 1 is that unless you can get 2 skeleton key’s a full 100% run starting from back door would be impossible
My head canon I just made up is that it’s gonna be a way to the castle or its in the castle like the rooms and backdoor but one is a main floor.

I have a theory. Because the rock bottom achievement requirement to enter the mines was removed in the content update, what if you need to get to the end of the hotel and do something in room 99 in order to unlock the ability to go to the garden subfloor in the mines. Then you would be able to unlock the garden anytime without needing to come back to the hotel.
My prediction on how to access it: The door will be covered in vines and it will require shears to tear the vines, but that would be a bit easy so instead when you open the gate on room 100, backtrack to room 99 and lure figure to the door, and he'll bust the door down. Upon entering the room you'll see a minecart going down a track that leads to a different way of getting to the mines, and there the Garden Subfloor.

This would be amazing, but maybe not for the mines as that'd just be too easy for new players to completely skip door 100 and miss out on what happens resulting in floor 2
you're doing too much with the figure thing, maybe take the key for the electrical room and inside the room which would be opened with the sheers is a door that needs the electrical key

no absolute way it would need both herb of viridis and skeleton key along with the shears, i feel like it would just be the herb and shears, as the skeleton key is not guaranteed to be found in a drawer and is only pretty much guaranteed in jeffs shop, which as you know only spawns once

You do a lever thing in the courtyard basement to open the statue, underneath the statue there was a garden key, and unlock the subfloor with it, that was my idea.
i dont think the big door is the entrance, i think its the exit and the guiding light statue is the entrance

2:38 genuinely it doesn't fit I think you would need a lockpick to open it and then that small door inside would be requiring 2 shears uses and 1 skele key since the rooms are already locked behind 3 items so I think 4 for the next subfloor would fit
since the content update released 4 months after the mines update the garden subfloor might release 4 months or less after the content update (probbaly less because stream integration has to be hard to make)

My theory is for the guideing light statue it could be the exit for the garden sub floor. And if you try to go back to the gsrden sub floor at 99 it will be blocked by guideing light or boulders
Personally I doubt it would be in the hotel since the hotel already has the rooms and plus I feel like it doesn’t make much sense for it to be right at the end of the floor. I think it would make more sense if it was in the mines since the mines doesn’t have any subfloors yet
If you needed the Herb of Viridis then the Skeleton Key would already be used, and it will not be possible to access the Subfloor unless you find one that does not have to be purchased in Jeff's Shop but that may be very rare.
well it would require a friend or alt and rifting skeleton keys which i think would be difficult but worth it to have a permanent access after entering once
or perhaps when youve thrown figure out of the window, instead of the original room 100 area being blocked off, you could go out of the breaker room, get a candle, light it with the fires, go to the door and burn the vines down, along with having a lockpick or skeleton key
They should make it like rooms but with sections with like shears and chests with vines
I've known this for a while, but haven't said it until now. I think the garden subfloor will be in the courtyard because if you search around it you eventually find a secret basement door that you can unlock with shears, and when you go down there is loot and snares (this is likely a placeholder for the actual subfloor). If everyone already knows this, then please let me know, because I've never seen anyone mention it before.

Here's my theory- the Garden's entrance will be in the Mines at a set door (like how the Rooms is at door 60 of the hotel). The door Cheddar keeps talking about is the _exit_ to the Garden, much like how the infirmary is the exit to the Rooms. I also hope a "Subfloors" tab will be added to the Play button that lets people who have beaten the Rooms reaccess them, and the same with the Garden.

I have a theory that the door will be in the nest's downstairs area and it will need a shears and skeleton key. Yes, skeleton key in the mines is possible as Louie gives it but it has no purpose in F2 "yet".
Only issue is that thats pretty rng based, unless he alwhas gives a skele key first trade (whixh could be made into a change, aslong as the item was valuable enough, since there are vined chest in the nest) it could really suck,
something that made doing a few Rooms attempts atleast bearable is that skele key is GUARANTEED at jeffs shop, this is also why crucifix badge runs suxk, since he isnt guaranteed give you a crucifix annoyingly

Here’s my one question: why is it that LSPLASH made it so that you are GUARANTEED to get the shears in the Mines before door 160? Lush rooms in the Mines were quite rare before the Content Update, but they were intentionally made much more common after the Content Update

I feel like that you should gain a lot of speed to bust through the door instead of items. The only item to give you this amount of speed would probably be the starlight jug, because why would there be 2 subfloors in 1 floor? It would require you to beat a challenge to complete another challenge.

i doubt that you will be able to make a elevator for the subfloor, doesn't seem likes a doors thing to do
you can make an elevator for the backdoor, when it literally takes 15 seconds to enter it at max. and plus, doors only has 2 sub-floors at the moment, so just 1 not being accessible from the lobby doesn’t tell us anything.

Maybe if the elevator thing is correct the courtyard statue will open up and we will come out of it so to enter the subfloor you only have to beat the greenhouse once you access instead of the entire hotel
It might be in floor 1 99 or floor 2 69 just like in 69 in doors floor 1 we have free healing so it may give us some cutters to get items and they might add 10 slots back due to the fact that people want to kill many rushs
I think the garden subfloor will be available in floor 2 and the player will be able to access it but before accessing it you would need to find the sheers and the skeleton key and then you need to find a new item concept called the keycard to unlock it
And then you will be able to unlock it and access it

I dont really think, that you would need skeleton key cause then it wouldnt be possible do do every subfloor and floor 1,2 in one run. It would be possible tho cause you can find skeleton key naturaly but its really rare.

Maybe you get an achievement called Daddy got the milk why did it take so long enter the garden subfloor and you would get it similar to the fact that you needed the detour badge to enter the back door

Or you are only strong enough to open it with the Herb. Maybe pushing open the entrance makes you take damage, but with the Herb you’ll heal up to counter it.
you need Skeleton key for the Herbs and if u need skeleton key for the subfloor then thats impossible u use the key for herbs and then you cant use the key twice.. that was the only think i was not sure abt. just easiest way to open the door: Skeleton key + shears

The hotel, and the greenhouse. The rooms and the garden.
The mines and the sewers. Probably a subfloor tied to both.
I’m assuming at least one or two subfloors for each floor, tied to each section of the floor
