    I liked the refreshed body style of this car, 2014-2017. The CC’s replacement, the Arteon, is a beautiful car as well.

      @gregfaris6959 ปีที่แล้ว

      @308Karl is correct - 2012 is the last model year for the "original" version, with the more bulbous headlights and taillights, though more incremental changes had been made in the meantime, such as the addition of the pseudo-analog clock and moving the parking brake location to the gearshift console. The 2013 model-year conversion was apparently not the concession they needed, as no appreciable sales boost was to ensue, this notwithstanding the fact they had removed all amber turn signal indicators, in adherence to the US-preferred, poor-visibility standard of all-red-for-everything. For a car the Direction had identified from the get-go as destined mostly for the US market, perhaps a decision to manufacture it somewhere in North America might have eased the price point, but such a decision was not forthcoming, and all were manufactured in Germany, and imported to the US.
      Overall, it's a very good car, and a decent performer, with many higher-end features (how many air-conditioned gloveboxes in 2009??), and will be appreciated by drivers who do a fair amount of road miles, so long as they are willing to abide the maintenance costs of German engineering, and until their spine no longer finds the appeal in lowering itself to that "roadster" height to cut an image.

      My -09 VR6 has 244k km on it (about 151k miles, apparently). Still drives well and is a comfortable car. Absolutely love the engine. Also Haldex is surprisingly decent for winters, since this area of Finland unfortunately gets a ton of snow every year - I really got to test the system. Not as good as Torsen in my previous Audi was, but way more capable than I expected.
      Also in my car, the left side panel is for the in-car phone - it pops out. Right side I don't even know, don't think I ever have tried to open it yet. Probably storage as others have said. Interior quality is one of the things I'd say isn't exactly great in mine, it can get rattlish but heard these older CC's often were like this. Insulation is... Alright. If I ever decide to upgrade the audio system, I'd improve the insulation as well to make it a bit quieter.

    I drove this car as a diesel with 6-speed transmission for 4 years until the diesel update came and it was no longer drivable. The update only caused problems and I then sold the car. It was a nice car, but the problems came daily.
    It was a 2.0 liter BlueTDi Euro 6 with 143 hp. Since the sale I drive a Chrysler Pacifica MFD 12/2003.. the first generation ^^.. and it runs!

      People are too obcessed with badges that they see better values in others brands. Man at 2008 when i came out there were only the Merc CLS and CC the only "4door coupés" better values than Audi ar c classe or 3 series and way better looks! A head Turner of its time!
      Ps: bought

    Hey Zack I’m a new subscriber and I have been watching some of your videos, I appreciate the retro reviews, and your input, but I encourage you to do a little more research before stating specifics on the vehicles as fact. The Volkswagen CC actually came out in 2009, in your ES 330 video you stated it was based on the Avalon platform, which it’s based on the camry platform… I’m not saying I could do any better videos, it’s very difficult to get yourself on camera, and I know it takes a lot of time with editing, and mics etc. However basic research is easy I look forward to your future videos but perhaps just nail down the key facts before putting the video out there👌

    I just bought a 2009 CC VR6 4 Motion and I am very impressed so far. Rides great and beautiful car all around. All I need is rims, tints, and some basic chrome delete (wrap to avoid permeant change) and I'll be golden.

    Your big friggin’ bottle test is funny, but as a driver of five late model Volkswagens, they will never pass the test because the door pockets are designed to handle large bottles, not the centre cup-holders. When placed in the door, big bottles are actually closer and easier to hand.

    Is every German car maker just disregarding that coupe = 2 doors? Mercedes, BMW and even VW apparently are calling 4-door vehicles coupes.

    • @paulandresen4579
      @paulandresen4579 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No where will you find the original translation of the word Coupe, as specific too two door. That simply became peoples translation as people often referred to the two door as a coupe.
      It’s a French word and referred to a vehicle with low roofline , not number of doors.
      The Rover P5 was a perfect example as it was available in both sedan and Coupe . Or the Passat or Passat CC.
      They actually got the original translation correct . It’s the modern translation of the word that is incorrect:)
