nice review, what about max volume in compare to bose ?? Beoplay h9i, sony xm3, beats studio 3 - these are significantly quieter than Bose QC 35, I bought firstly h9i but returned them because of this reason, im really tempted by hd1 but this is kinda important for me

Nice review. Just FYI, although these don't have BT5.0 they do have AptX which greatly increases the fidelity. That's the only reason I would pick these over the Bose. Oh and the looks and the material. How would you say the noise canceling compares to Bose?

On thing Bose does really well is the noise cancelling. Since when they first developed it they were working with the air force at the time.

Bose has best noise cancelling on the market to date. However the noise cancelling of the Bose makes the sound stage worse than the Sony and the HD1's. The best sounding cans are the HD 1 and the Beyer Dynamic Lagoon with Sony 3rd in sound and Bose last. Sony overall is number 1.

I just read the features. They are 4.0. I dont know why companies ask premium prices for old technology when 5.0 is available.

Probably because there is zero benefit to audio performance with Bluetooth 5.0 when paired against BT 4.0. Would you have preferred they charge you $20 more for something that will bring absolutely no benefit to the selling point of the product? These are leather and stainless steel built, with hardware manufactured in Germany, they're going to last in pristine condition for decades if you take good care of them. If you want the latest bluetooth version, and other mainstream features (like posting a tweet with your headphones, I'm telling you, that shit's coming, and from Beats no less), then look somewhere else. These headphones are built for people that want quality products, not mainstream products.
