It is the end of an era. Helen Dillon's amazing garden in Renelagh, Dublin, The Dillon Garden, has been sold and is closing this year. Helen is the Doyenne of Irish Gardening but wishing her all the best in her new venture.
This will be one of four videos as I intend to film this iconic Irish garden each month before the gates finally close.

Nice yellow angels trumpet. The variegated tree also one of my favorites.

I think I might cry when I go to make the September video myself!
Look out for The Dillon Garden in the new series of Gardeners' World, Mairead. In July when I made the Dillon video Helen was at lunch with the Gardeners' World crew. So we're in for a treat!

It's a fantastic garden. Such a pity she decided to sell it. Let's hope the new owners will keep it this beautiful and open to the public.

Thanks, Lyn. Yes, I just LOVE those agave. One of them is Agave peryii but it must be so old to have attained that size. Thanks for watching and have a great day.

I have a gut feeling that the new property owners are going to maintain a portion of the gardens in Helen's name...

That would be nice. But will they ever open to the public again?
