I was working in Kansas came home to my campsite and my gazebo was gone. Local Rancher told me he found my gazebo tangled up across the pasture about 1 mile away tangled up in his barb wire fence, so yeah my tumbleweed G6 was history.
It can definitely act like a parachute when the winds pick up.
If you live in the South, this thing will stifle you on a hot day when you stand up. They now have a version with a mesh top. Called the Cool Top.. This version will fly like a kite. It's amazing how little wind it takes, and mine now has a huge hole in the top. No easy way to repair it.

I have one and find the mesh to be great for keeping out little bugs, but at the same time it does not seem to let the breezes through like my other Coleman screen tent does. However - in addition to the Cool Top, Gazelle has a new G6 out now with breathable "Tritech Mesh" screens "for increased durability and improved airflow without compromising the ability to keep even the smallest bugs out", and i'm curious to know if it makes a significant difference. If I were to get one again, I would definitely go with the Tritech Mesh!
On their website they tell you to stake out the tent with the stakes no further than 10” to 14” away from the base of the Gazebo - this tension is what will keep the roof from collapsing. If you stake this like a normal thing with ropes out at a 45 degree angle down to the stake then they are too far out and it will not prevent the collapse of the roof. Def a RTFM kind of thing I guess, but the fact they put it on their website tells me they have been getting complaints from people not staking them out properly.
Granted in your situation with 60mph winds, probably no amount of staking will keep the roof from collapsing just from the dynamic side loading on the tent itself. I’m happy to hear it stayed put for you.

Waterproof the seams... buy side panels to keep the rain out. Ours held up good in a hailstorm of quarter+ sized hail last evening. The gazelle gets a thumbs up from us

I use it over the top of a picnic table or sometimes I just put my camping chairs in there with a small table and a crate for my dog. Let me know if you have any other questions!
First, no screen room will stand up to 60 mph winds. Second, always guy out from the center hubs if you expect winds.
Absolutely! I couldn’t agree more! Hindsight being 20/20, I would’ve taken the whole thing down that night.
I live in FL and camp all year round. Not sure where you live, but did it get extremely hot inside?
Oh yeah! If it’s in the sun and there’s no breeze - you can bake a cake in that thing!
We have an oscillating portable fan. USB charge, shows 25/50/75/100% has a low/medium/high soft light that gives nice light. Hangs from the middle or stands on a built in tripod.
We're in the heart of GA. We camped out Victoria Bryant State park. It has covered platforms for tents w electric & water. First night was a rainstorm w winds. We didn't stake it down on the platform. It didn't move, but maybe because we had our full size blow up and our duffles inside.
We didn't need the rainfly so the breeze was wonderful.
Our experience is with the tent, not the gazebo, though.
The tent is heavier than most, but the Velcro roping and carry bag compacted it fine. We transported it atop a Corolla hatchback on a Handirack inflatable roof rack.
We don't have an RV yet, but didn't want that to stop our outdoor excursions.
Our campsite was a 4 minute walk from the car.
We have two other friends who've had Gazelles (one w the extended tent, another w a tent and Gazelle gazebo).
Guess things just depend on conditions and your own experience.
We also set up ALL our equipment BEFORE heading out. NEVER set up the first time at the site. That way we knew which size tarp we need for a footprint, which stakes hold up better, get used to the zippers, getting in/out (for the tent), set up our mattress, etc.
Everything literally set up within 10 minutes including our indoor/outdoor carpets, foam flooring, & privacy tent just outside.
Our experience was different. We love that everything's together, no poles to forget, & the No-see-ums stayed out. Also love that 6'4" hubs can stand up inside. No more hunching over.

Keeps bugs away , protection from the sun and cover picnic table to have dinner inside on camping trip

Go with the Gazelle, either the Cool Top or the unit with the TriTech mesh. You will not be disappointed
what is the difference with tri mesh and cool top ?
