I hope they patch nfs heat to run at 60 or 120 fps because clearly both the next gen consoles are capable of running games at higher frame rates, it's up to devs to make it possible for their game
I compared this to my Xbox one that I’ve had for 5 years with like 70 games and the loading screen took 36 seconds. Then again I am only level 23 and haven got as much data maby
9:13 The issues with NFS 2015 on PS5 i experienced myself are that other players in the session are non syncing at all, you see them freezed in their car and then teleport forward after a minute or see them even doing infinite circles. The funniest part is that when these things happens you'll have infinite nos LMAO

What you don't seem to understand is that games need to be optimized specifically for the game you are playing. Previous games haven't been optimzed to take advantage of the PS5's SSD or for that matter the upcoming DirectStorage API for Windows 10. The games that are, load much faster. It's that simple.
Yep, it’s really funny to see people quick to blame this on Ghost, EA, and Frostbite without understanding why it is that way. They likely didn’t have PS5 devkits over there at the time so there wouldn’t be any way to implement that tech and test the loading times. Another problem is that each studio has their own branch of Frostbite, so even if there’s something that exists in the main FB branch, it might not be available in Ghost/Criterion’s branch until they decide to upgrade to the latest version for their next game.
Not really how it works. Games aren't made so a ssd is quicker. A ssd is quicker then a hd from the gate. So games load faster because ssd run a lot faster in read and write times. So games aren't optimized for ssd compared to hd. Ssd and hd are just a storage device. Making games run faster comes to the game companies to take full advantage of the new cpu and clock speeds and new gpu with more power and ram with quicker timing. You console people don't even understand how pc work which is the same parts but obviously different then what you buy for a pc but still needs all the same parts cpu,mobo,ram,psu,gpu

Maybe the games were that slow to load because you were downloading and installing the crew 2 during the tests... you should test one more time without having anything running in background
@BlackPanthaa for the best upgrade results you need to run the original disc version unpatched. So essentially you would be inserting the disc and playing right away without opting for any updates. You will most likely see the most significant affect of the PS5’s hardware on these games. A lot of times the day one unpatched versions have unlocked frame rates, etc. whereas the patches changed a lot of those aspects to make the game run better on the 8the generation systems.
I have all three and 2015 is the only one I still play I love the drifting in it. And it's probably the only one I feel like is worth loading into and I'm glad I'll still be able to play it whenever I am able to find a ps5 somewhere. I've been practicing with the Mustang GT I've hit onemillion In it once. I think the game still has better graphics the the others for ps4

The problem when loading it's not the Frostbite engine, it's the way PS5 handle backwards compat, PS5 simulates PS4, with the same clocks and that's is kinda holding back it's capabilities, as oppose to XSX which doesn't simulate Xbox One / 360 / and the original so, back-compat on Xbox is kinda 'better' but it has to be tested game by game, which is not the case on PS5. Give a try on GTA5 to see how fast it loads on XSX, compared to PS5. You can see visualize better what I'm saying on DF back-compat analysis, especially comparing AC Unity.
Currently the out of the new need for speeds 2015-Heat I have to say 2015 is still my favorite because the drifting I have a bunch of Initial D cars that I have made like the 86, the R32, COOL VIBRATIONS Eg6, the rx7, kentas Silvia, the Sileighty, and a whole bunch of there cars
The reason for the warning is for all ps4 games, most won't get optimisation for anything, including loading times, they are somehow capped in these games, even on a PS4 with a standard SSD you probably wouldn't get an advantage. Some PS4 games will no doubt have worse issues, some will be patched.
The long loading screen is due to the servers rather than the load being actually slow, that's why when you play for example Unite, with Origin offline it loads so fast, because without Origin online it loads to 1/8 of the bar and then it just goes to the garage.
In all of the Frostbite NFS games but The Runs the game will first load the lowest quality models and the higher quality one last, this is so slower systems don't have to freeze till the higher quality model is loaded.
Likewise when you buy whatever in the games, you get a loading screen, that's just the game syncronizing your purchase to the server, rather than saving to the hdd or ssd, so in general the slowness is due to the server sync, not the pc/console at all.

NFS2015 seems to load cars so much slower on the PS5 compared to PS4. When I try swapping my cars out it will take over 10 seconds to actually swap, and after it loads it will take over 10 seconds to leave the garage..

Out of curiosity, i compared side to side with my og xbox one for NFS 2015. It isn’t 1:1 but better than nothing. Loading the game from home menu was a lot slower, but once in the game it would load faster than the PS5, not insanely faster but faster by 2 to 5 seconds. From selecting all-drive to loading livery’s.

I have NFS Heat on my gaming laptop. Its not even installed on an SSD and the load times are significantly faster then PS5. Kinda disappointing but I was gonna wait a year for better prices on PS5 anyway.
So of the loading screens on heat are hard coded on a timer, so u have to wate a certent amount of time no matter what. I also believe it's the same for payback and 2015.

Yeah, I wouldn’t expect any exceptional loading for most previous gen games. Those loading times will really shine once the true next-gen ONLY games are released.
GTA is using a system of ASync and NFS seems to have no ASync, or either has loaded in the background and is just showing that loading screen as just a cosmetic feature. In GTA V, it uses Async loading, so what it does is it loads all the objects in start of slash screen and just loads you in the game. Only the area game decides to put you in is loaded only and not the other world isn't.
