    Another tutorial I've watched had a great tip for the ferrule:
    Pour boiling water over it and it should then release and you'll be able to move it out the way up the shaft which makes sure you don't melt it while heating

    You should wear those gloves while you apply the torch to the hosel in the manner you showed on the video. Why? Because sometimes the epoxy in the shaft can pop out of the hosel and fall onto your hand, and you will get a second-degree burn, like I did.

    Can you also remove a graphite shaft the same way? Or should you use boiling water?

    a different subject-but if you put a TT s300 xp 115 gram 6 iron shaft into a 7 iron- does that change it to a regular flex, or somewhere in between....or what exactly will it do to the performance of the club..

      That is called soft stepping. You would be about 1/3 flex softer than the standard S flex. If you used the 5-iron shaft (soft stepped twice), then that would put it closer to in-between flex.
