  • There is no better time to learn how to re grip your own golf clubs from the comfort of your own home! This is a 10 minute tutorial on how to re grip a golf club using common household items! Whilst we have a few weeks of lockdown left, why not prepare your golf clubs before the start of the season!
    This isn't a tutorial for professional use! PGA trainees should refer to PGA guidance.

      Since its a re grip with household supplies, one suggestion for getting the old tape off easier is a heatgun if you're a home handyman or your girlfriend/wife's hair blow drier if not.

    Excellent start, this is the content the average golfer wants to see, not a PGA pro (whose swing still looks ugly to us as we all watch golf on tv) receiving free clubs from the top brands to then hit on a launch monitor we don't and will never have. We all like tinkering with the stuff we already own in an affordable way, like grips and club maintenance. Great stuff

    I did this last weekend, re-gripped my son's irons, honestly it was so straightforward, I'm never paying for a re-grip again. Bought grips online that came with tape, got a pack of hookblades for the Stanley knife, white spirit from the shed. Got a great sense of satisfaction from seeing them done, saved money and kept me occupied in lockdown.

    Excellent tutorial and wonderful for the unfamiliar.
    One small tweak- PLEASE don't smack the butt of the club on the floor to "seat" it, especially with steel shaft clubs!
    The shaft will cut into the butt of the grip and wind up with torn grips at the end!
    Not trying to be a critical curmudgeon, but made this mistake over the years resulting in the center of the grip being punched out...

    • @garymartingolf
      @garymartingolf  ปีที่แล้ว
