Have you heard about Gothic 1 Remake? Please make a review about that. And monitor its process. As for Gothic 3, it needs a remake version. I do hope after Gothic 1 Remake finished, they're going to remake Gothic 3 first then Gothic 2 Remake.
Though the first two Gothic games were amazing, I still feel that Gothic 3, despite its issues, has the most amazing atmosphere across the entire series. The landscapes look gorgeous, and the sound and music specifically is incredible. Thanks for making this video, I had no idea something new was out for Gothic 3
The advantage of Gothic 3 is only 3 to 4: 1. Bigger maps without loading screen. 2. Various weapons, armors, and magic. 3. Complete Quests before given by quest givers. 4. Voice actors and soundtrack. The unfortunate lacks of Gothic 3: 1. Having Europe Middle Ages Fantasy World theme, instead of Dark Middle Ages Fantasy World like Gothic 1 and Gothic 2. Which rich of Gloomy, Dark, Dense atmosphere. 2. Melee combats were so bad. Where no progression moves and 'range' is all that matter. You just use basic halberd in entire game without change any weapons. 3. Unfinished Quests. Full of filler fetch and kill quests. No main story. 4. No ending boss. The end that truly cannon is go to unknown land with Xardas which make me bored as hell just to follow an old man from the end of Nordmar to the end of Myrtana. And even worse is the NPC pathfinding is the most worst. 5. The story of Lee, Rhobar, and the nobles was bad execution. It's one of the most sad and underrating story in Gothic 3. 6. All Nameless hero's friends didn't get major plot in Gothic 3. 7. So many plot holes. Like for example: The Hashishin. In Gothic 2 we can hear Vatras peaches in citizen of Khorinis brains that human followers of Beliar are mind controlled, but in Gothic 3, they willingly follow Beliar. The god that wants to see human eradicated from the world. WT*. 8. There's no hierarchy in the game. Where you, a weak mc, can easily kill a group of orcs. And you can't even kill a group of wolves. I think a group of orcs can easily killed by a small group of wolves too. You can also kill dragon in early game easily because there's no hierarchy. 9. NPC can't jump anymore. And it can be exploit easily by the player. That's a some of the reasons why Gothic saga got buried in RPG genres these days. And seriously Gothic 3 is need for Remake version, more than Gothic 1 did.
Yep the combat was (maybe still is) so fucking garbage I couldn´t even think of continueing after 2 hours in at the time it was released. Never touched it again after that experience. LOL @@goodoldgamingyoutuber6371

Entire game would have to be remade from scratch and remaking such a big world probaby would take more time and efforts than making a new game. Truth be told piranha took too many shortcuts after Gothic 2 turning Gothic 3 into running simulator.
So instead of skipping step 1 as the video said, i should just do it anyways? But also activate the beta branch in steam before installing community patch?
@@muxmastermann420 I don't think it's necessary to do activate beta branch, but if steam decides to check integrity of files, it will overwrite them with basegame ones if branch is set to default.
As someone who's never played any of the older Gothic games I actually enjoyed Arcania and it's expansion I found the story to be good and the side quests its far from a perfect game but it's decent atleast even if the older games are better I mean who nows maybe if Arcania hadn't received so much hate a new Gothic game would already be out not saying it didn't deserve the hate once again Arcania is the only game in the series I've played and that's not my fault I play on a modern console the older games need remastered or something
It was my favorite Gothic game for years. Actually, I didn`t even know that people hate Gothic 3 until one year ago LOL. I love the Gothic community cause you can say whatever you want about your favorite game and people respect your opinion, try to do the same in the Dark Souls community and say that your favorite is DS 2, you`ll see what happens... Gothic 3 is the only game in the series that I've played and I loved it, it just fell short of being all it could be because of bugs. Still had a lot of fun with it though. I've heard about the first two games in the series but never had time to check them out.

You are missing the MOST IMPORTANT mod of all ( it's a simple ini edit): the one that eliminates that abomination of a font that is called comic sans :D And while it is a pretty big performance hit, I'd recommend using the reshade that adds HBAO to the game. The visual quality is night and day.
Hey I installed all the mods and I understand some text wont be in English but fire arrows are called only "en" which would be fine but Brenton also sells 4 recipes, all are called "en" and they give an item called "en" which isnt the fire arrows and there isnt anything else that can be done with it further, its just an item that goes into the miscellaneous section... Its a shame as I was going for an archer build, I think those recipes should make you arrows right? Anyone else has this as well or knows what to do please?
Modelers were too lazy to translate objects for English speakers. You can only remove [en] yourself by editing some of the game files. I've tried it myself, but it's not easy. It's hard to mess around in this pile of code. In the event that you play with Russian voice acting, there are no such problems there. Since these mods were made with an emphasis on Russian speakers
C4G, I stumbled on your channel out of nowhere when trying to find more info about Gothic 1 classic for switch. I had already bought Elex 1 and never played it the way I should, couldn't enjoy the 30 minutes I tried playing it. After your videos on Gothic, Risen and Elex (I just avoided the spoilers on every video) and I got them all lol So thank you! These RPGs were the THING I needed in my life and was looking for a long time.
Union mod pack is great. I recently played throught with it, and had lots of fun. Some of the quests that are part of lively towns mod (one of the mods included in the pack) focus too much on tedious tasks, but others impressed me with ammount of work put into them, so i feel like it balances out. Too bad lively towns mod is discontinued now, and adds almost no additions for orc mercenary path.
great video! A friend and I managed to translate the game with all the mods into Portuguese. for those who don't know the ultimate balance only has german, polish and russian languages. but most mods have english language. thanks for the video!
You didn't mention that if you change even a single mod during a playthrough the game will stop seeing your saves. If you do that then go to your Gothic 3 folder in Documents and copy files the the Mods1 folder into the Gothic 3 folder, basically one above. Worked for me but I only installed a compass
If anyone has the error called "error 32" pop up, make sure to delete the flm.dat folder in the MDS folder as that will allow you to help integrate your mods into the game.
I messed up skipped the 1.5 beta patch..gotta do the mod integration all over again, it takes forever. My npc dialog english voices were cutting out maybe thats the reason.
i managed to finish it, though some texts (especially crafting and quests) were just "en" "ang" "eng" or blank. could not get any reputation with pirates and the only quest involving them was the grain thieves one. got a lot of crashes too, quite often when i would browse a merchant's wares

Hi I got some invisible meshes of characters after installing the mods. Like bandits and orcs are just weapons or armor floating in the air. I also see some really weird thing with former slaves and other random NPCs in cities where their armor is like a separate object attached to them but they are not wearing the armor it's like they have 4 arms and when they sit down the armor stays in the same floating position. Also my find xardas quest is disappeared and it's now something like letter of Xardas
@click4gameplay can you tell where the armor and helmet of the dragon hunter went after installing these mods? before it was on the small island of the undead and now it's not.
Please help. Does someone has the issue installing update pack v.1.0.4 ? I can't select the folder where the game is installed. I can't select any folder, even if I paste the location still the button Next is grey and I can't click on it
I never finished G3 back when it came out, I found it to be too unbalanced, once you liberated a few towns and all the orcs everywhere flipped out on you. I've tried replaying it afterwards, but just found it too clunky, plus the performance was awful with modern PCs. That is, on top of all the other issues with the game. Looks like this mod collection could make for a lot of fun. I'll definitely try it out. Thanks a lot for the comprehensive guide! On behalf of both us players AND the mod creators, as you're making their mods more accessible to more people.
i would suggest u to not focus on liberating cities immediately. at last for me,it was way more fun to roam around every city and hideout and do quests for both sides(aside from the "kill the rebel spy" or "kill those orc guards" ones. I feel like if u pick a side from the beggining and start liberating cities the world doesnt feel as alive anymore
dude i've installed all the mods you mentioned in the video but there is a problem when i ran the game and pressed the inventury there was no any teleport stones in it. any ways that i might fix this issue?
Hello, I'm facing an issue while attempting to integrate mods, and the error message states "unable to write stringtable.ini."the err came with the mods called main,conquest and balance ultimate. Does anyone know how to resolve this?

There really just isn't anything quite like Gothic franchise. Besides Archolos. Would you think of doing a video on games that in your opinion come closest to that "Gothic feel" maybe like a top 5 that aren't Piranha Bytes gamesí?

Has anyone else had the issue, that some items wont be visable and some NPC run around headless / invisible? I already tried turning off CM Citizen Textures. What else could I do ? Sadly unplayable like this
Been running these mods for couple of days, gotta say. Some are just confusing and not explained well enough. Probably too soon to use some of them in English as the text are missing and its hard to figure out how to use stuff. Probably will have to wait for translation if we ever get one :D
I'll have a look at the mods available for G3 but outside of the fixes that will make the game available to play properly ... The game is usually fine to play but everyone has their preferences and thats A-okay ... I myself and currently finishing up another run on Gothic before moving on to Gothic 2 ... its always great playing again especially after a long while when your memory of things ingame isnt as clear as it once was

When I start the Union Patch (now the 1.2.6 version) I get a message saying "0, is not a valid integer value". And then the windows where I shpuld be able to activate the mods (9:53, for example) appears completely blank. I get the "structure" (in the upper part of the window I'm able to select the language, etc), but then, no mods at all appear there. How can I solve this?
I did exactly as the instructions about 3-4 times but I can't forge any armor. When I try to forge armor on an anvil, only the weapon paterns are available. I have the crawler plates armor pattern, bought it for 20k but it doesn't appear when I try to forge it. Any help please ?
Hello. Got a question: Didn't you encounter the "Where's the guru?" error. After like 10 hrs of gameplay I would load the save game and after it loads it seems to work perfectly until I press any key that opens a menu (map key, show stats key, inventory key, etc), then it always crashed and showed the "Where's the guru?" error mentioning something about not enough memory available. Did I perhaps miss anything during the installation? Although I followed the steps exactly as showed in the video, twice. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance!
After installing these mods, my game is now in russian. I tried the English translation files from Roman on Nexus, but still no change. And is it just me but the new union starter is terribly slow, when you check an option the app doesnt respond for about a minute
CNQEnclaves basically states that large groups of enemies in one spot will be considered an enclave(clan) and will all attack the player at once(when provoked) instead of one by one. Basically it limits how much you can kite.
Do you have any idea what CNQ Arena is ? I installed it and now I don't get any fights in the Arena in Geldren, and half the fights don't start in Sildren, CapeDun etc
Thank you for this guide! It's amazing what this does to the game and saves a lot of research time. Just a side note, don't try to make your old saves work, I gave it a try and it was just a waste of time there's no way to do that. The game will end up with some crazy-looking bugs that you can not fix. You have to start a new game for all this to work.
Can anybody open chests with this mods? i can't open metal chests and heavy chests (even with the perk)... if i try there will be 4 or 6 locks shown but nothing else happens.
Started Gothic3 again after watching this Video It works great but there is a Problem with missing Dialog/Text for some Quests and Weapons I can`t fight in the Arena of Geldern and Faring because i cant read what i have to do Is it possible to find the Missing Text somewhere in the Data? Coildn`t find any Fix or Information online

There is a English version someone made that fixes the problem of folks having to decipher the non English language. It's called "Gothic 3 Union Mod Pack (Balance Ultimate Immersive World Conquest etc.) English translation" found on Nexus. Version 1.71. - The English is based on Union 1.1.2. Your version is 1.1.3. Do you know what the difference is? For the English game, perhaps 1.1.2 is all that is needed? I ask because I don't want folks to miss content.
Nooooo waaaaay? This is and always will be my favorite RPG everrrr. I have sooo many memories. I used to play this when my parents got divorced and this game helped me fight through that period in my life. Hey there :) I have the problem that some dialogue lines are plain black. Same for quests entrys. So I can click them but not read anything. Examples are when talking to NPCs for a 2. teleportation stone or using the working station in Nemora. There I can´t see anything im clicking and I have no idea what is going around. Any ideas?^^
I saw other TH-cams use a program called spine. You are the only one using this Mod launcher. Does it have other perks besides the imterfave with pocturer?
Pretty much follow everything you said and I once again ended up with missing NPC textures and floating heads :/. Have no clue how to fix that. I've read it's QP that does it, I'll try to disable just that I suppose.
Okay I seemed to have maybe had some success. Set it to testbranch, reinstalled everything and now I'm getting the proper menu, floating head at game start seems to be gone too, fingers crossed xD@@svord00

I like the mod. But unfortunately I have the bug that I cannot see any armors in my inventory. I can see Helments and Shields, but not armors. After buying/looting them they disappear. Anyone having the same issue/a solution?
Yo, i have a small problem with this version of the game. I started the game and everything worked nicely until i noticed that some houses have closed doors texture and i am unable to get inside them. They cant be interacted with and i found no way to open them. Any idea what might have caused this ?
So I've done some research and this is caused by the LivelyTownsMod. It's actually intended and those doors should open after you leave Ardea for the first time and the area gets repopulated.
@click4gameplay was wondering if using the G3 Waste Data Patch 2.0 for Gothic3 1.75 and Gothic 3 Cleanup after integrating mods would cause any problems or do you find that the game runs well enough without it?

My god, man, it's been a while since I've watched any YT content, and it's been a while since you posted this video, but I come back and you teach me about a basically BRAND NEW Gothic III !! This is amazing. Shout out to the Russian creators of this mod pack. Now if we could just distract Putin with a play-through of the Gothic series instead of committing genocide against the Ukrainians, we'd be in good shape. Unrelated, it was also some Russian programmers who found a way to unlock all-core turbo boost on all E5 Version 3 Xeon processors. A talented and impressive group. But I thank you for always keeping track of the best mods for different games, and finding and learning about so many different RPG projects either in development or already released. I checked back with the Robin Hood game and they have released a playable intro chapter that hopefully will provide the funding they need to finish what looks like it is going to be a very good game. I also want to see if there is any news on the Native American themed game, begins with an "A" I think? But I am always relying on you for the best information, and you always provide. So thank you - now I'm going to see what other treasures you have revealed since I've been here....

And to this day Gothic 3 stands as the only real open world game where the only loading screen you gonna see is load game screen.

Hey I installed all the mods and I understand some text wont be in English but fire arrows are called only "en" which would be fine but Brenton also sells 4 recipes, all are called "en" and they give an item called "en" which isnt the fire arrows and there isnt anything else that can be done with it further, its just an item that goes into the miscellaneous section... Its a shame as I was going for an archer build, I think those recipes should make you arrows right? Anyone else has this as well or knows what to do please?
Modelers were too lazy to translate objects for English speakers. You can only remove [en] yourself by editing some of the game files. I've tried it myself, but it's not easy. It's hard to mess around in this pile of code. In the event that you play with Russian voice acting, there are no such problems there. Since these mods were made with an emphasis on Russian speakers

I had already bought Elex 1 and never played it the way I should, couldn't enjoy the 30 minutes I tried playing it. Union mod pack is great. I recently played throught with it, and had lots of fun. Some of the quests that are part of lively towns mod (one of the mods included in the pack) focus too much on tedious tasks, but others impressed me with ammount of work put into them, so i feel like it balances out. Too bad lively towns mod is discontinued now, and adds almost no additions for orc mercenary path.

Is there a mod that allows you to repair worn weapons and stmour ?
You didn't mention that if you change even a single mod during a playthrough the game will stop seeing your saves.
If you do that then go to your Gothic 3 folder in Documents and copy files the the Mods1 folder into the Gothic 3 folder, basically one above.

If anyone has the error called "error 32" pop up, make sure to delete the flm.dat folder in the MDS folder as that will allow you to help integrate your mods into the game.

I messed up skipped the 1.5 beta patch..gotta do the mod integration all over again, it takes forever. My npc dialog english voices were cutting out maybe thats the reason.

i managed to finish it, though some texts (especially crafting and quests) were just "en" "ang" "eng" or blank. could not get any reputation with pirates and the only quest involving them was the grain thieves one. got a lot of crashes too, quite often when i would browse a merchant's wares

Hi I got some invisible meshes of characters after installing the mods. Like bandits and orcs are just weapons or armor floating in the air. I also see some really weird thing with former slaves and other random NPCs in cities where their armor is like a separate object attached to them but they are not wearing the armor it's like they have 4 arms and when they sit down the armor stays in the same floating position. Also my find xardas quest is disappeared and it's now something like letter of Xardas

I never finished G3 back when it came out, I found it to be too unbalanced, once you liberated a few towns and all the orcs everywhere flipped out on you. I've tried replaying it afterwards, but just found it too clunky, plus the performance was awful with modern PCs. That is, on top of all the other issues with the game. Looks like this mod collection could make for a lot of fun. I'll definitely try it out. Thanks a lot for the comprehensive guide! On behalf of both us players AND the mod creators, as you're making their mods more accessible to more people.
i would suggest u to not focus on liberating cities immediately. at last for me,it was way more fun to roam around every city and hideout and do quests for both sides(aside from the "kill the rebel spy" or "kill those orc guards" ones. I feel like if u pick a side from the beggining and start liberating cities the world doesnt feel as alive anymore
dude i've installed all the mods you mentioned in the video but there is a problem when i ran the game and pressed the inventury there was no any teleport stones in it. any ways that i might fix this issue?
Hello, I'm facing an issue while attempting to integrate mods, and the error message states "unable to write stringtable.ini."the err came with the mods called main,conquest and balance ultimate. Does anyone know how to resolve this?

As someone who's never played the older games I enjoyed Arcania and its expansion I might not be as good as the old games but it's decent atleast and it's not my fault I can't play the older games if I could I would I play on console they need remastered or something

Been running these mods for couple of days, gotta say. Some are just confusing and not explained well enough. Probably too soon to use some of them in English as the text are missing and its hard to figure out how to use stuff. Probably will have to wait for translation if we ever get one :D
What were they thinking when ruining the melee combat? Half of the hits don't stun the animals. The combat was way better with the patches only.
you can disable "alternative ai" in the settings in difficulty tab. i also disable it cuz i dislike the animations for blocking being removed

I'll have a look at the mods available for G3 but outside of the fixes that will make the game available to play properly ... The game is usually fine to play but everyone has their preferences and thats A-okay ... I myself and currently finishing up another run on Gothic before moving on to Gothic 2 ... its always great playing again especially after a long while when your memory of things ingame isnt as clear as it once was

When I start the Union Patch (now the 1.2.6 version) I get a message saying "0, is not a valid integer value". And then the windows where I shpuld be able to activate the mods (9:53, for example) appears completely blank. I get the "structure" (in the upper part of the window I'm able to select the language, etc), but then, no mods at all appear there. How can I solve this?

I did exactly as the instructions about 3-4 times but I can't forge any armor. When I try to forge armor on an anvil, only the weapon paterns are available. I have the crawler plates armor pattern, bought it for 20k but it doesn't appear when I try to forge it. Any help please ?

Hello. Got a question: Didn't you encounter the "Where's the guru?" error. After like 10 hrs of gameplay I would load the save game and after it loads it seems to work perfectly until I press any key that opens a menu (map key, show stats key, inventory key, etc), then it always crashed and showed the "Where's the guru?" error mentioning something about not enough memory available. Did I perhaps miss anything during the installation? Although I followed the steps exactly as showed in the video, twice. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance!

After installing these mods, my game is now in russian. I tried the English translation files from Roman on Nexus, but still no change. And is it just me but the new union starter is terribly slow, when you check an option the app doesnt respond for about a minute
CNQEnclaves basically states that large groups of enemies in one spot will be considered an enclave(clan) and will all attack the player at once(when provoked) instead of one by one. Basically it limits how much you can kite.
Do you have any idea what CNQ Arena is ? I installed it and now I don't get any fights in the Arena in Geldren, and half the fights don't start in Sildren, CapeDun etc
Thank you for this guide! It's amazing what this does to the game and saves a lot of research time. Just a side note, don't try to make your old saves work, I gave it a try and it was just a waste of time there's no way to do that. The game will end up with some crazy-looking bugs that you can not fix. You have to start a new game for all this to work.

Can anybody open chests with this mods? i can't open metal chests and heavy chests (even with the perk)... if i try there will be 4 or 6 locks shown but nothing else happens.

There is a English version someone made that fixes the problem of folks having to decipher the non English language. It's called "Gothic 3 Union Mod Pack (Balance Ultimate Immersive World Conquest etc.) English translation" found on Nexus. Version 1.71. - The English is based on Union 1.1.2. Your version is 1.1.3. Do you know what the difference is? For the English game, perhaps 1.1.2 is all that is needed? I ask because I don't want folks to miss content.

I used to play this when my parents got divorced and this game helped me fight through that period in my life. Somehow none of my npc as voiced DIalog, orcs and humans also dont make any moans when taking damage or dying.
I reinstalled it with gog Version, now all the added Dialog is missing audio, which should be voice by the german voice mod. weird.
So I guess the current version just might be bugged in terms of German TTS Voices, as I installed it with the german version of the game

Hey there :) I have the problem that some dialogue lines are plain black. Same for quests entrys. So I can click them but not read anything. Examples are when talking to NPCs for a 2. teleportation stone or using the working station in Nemora. There I can´t see anything im clicking and I have no idea what is going around. Any ideas?^^

Pretty much follow everything you said and I once again ended up with missing NPC textures and floating heads :/. Have no clue how to fix that. I've read it's QP that does it, I'll try to disable just that I suppose.

I like the mod. But unfortunately I have the bug that I cannot see any armors in my inventory. I can see Helments and Shields, but not armors. After buying/looting them they disappear. Anyone having the same issue/a solution?
Yo, i have a small problem with this version of the game. I started the game and everything worked nicely until i noticed that some houses have closed doors texture and i am unable to get inside them. They cant be interacted with and i found no way to open them. Any idea what might have caused this ?
So I've done some research and this is caused by the LivelyTownsMod. It's actually intended and those doors should open after you leave Ardea for the first time and the area gets repopulated.
Can you do a run through of Risen 1 for switch ? It would be interesting to know if they have changed anything or fixed any bugs\glitches.

Unrelated, it was also some Russian programmers who found a way to unlock all-core turbo boost on all E5 Version 3 Xeon processors. A talented and impressive group.
But I thank you for always keeping track of the best mods for different games, and finding and learning about so many different RPG projects either in development or already released.
I checked back with the Robin Hood game and they have released a playable intro chapter that hopefully will provide the funding they need to finish what looks like it is going to be a very good game.

Great info. as usual C4G. I'm wondering though if the language buttons on the toolbar do anything? Also I've always avoided the quest pack because it seemed like the English translation was google translate standard. Has this improved I wonder?
