Que extraño, probablemente es un tema de impuestos mal declarados, aparte si tienen un hijo Chileno es contra la ley que eches a la madre, ya que estaría en contra de los derechos del niño.
Si fuera un “refugiado” que ingreso de forma ilegal a Chile huyendo del “cambio climatico” (Comunismo) o un activista de izquierda ya estarian los Jesuitas, Senadores zurdos, el INDH y agencias de la ONU defendiendo su caso.

Mi pareja entro como inversonista ( capital, plan de negocio, etc) fue, estafado, vehiculos robados, y a cada paso u oportunidad, por mis coterraneos chilenos y con la Administracion y el sistema corrupto en contra por Años.
Al punto de no concederle papeles, ni facilitarle documentacion, humillado por los Bancos, bloqueadas sus cuentas, contratos y arriendos.
Yo por años insistí que solo era muy mala suerte..
Para darme cuenta que es un Sistema Corrupto y Cultural que se instaló en mi hermoso Chile.
Somos de Cultura CORRUPTA!
Y lo aceptamos a todo nivel...
Donde quienes son un aporte a nuestra Sociedad, deben vivir escondidos, protegidos por camaras y rejas...mientras los bandidos respiran Libertad como Amos y Señores apoderandose de Barrios y Pueblos.
Y donde quien es Responsable de Ordenar el pais...se hace complice.
Porque la corrupcion está desde la cabeza a los pies...
Literal! Vean fotos de las calles del Chile de los años 30 y vean las calles del Chile de Hoy...verán como hemos descendido.
Desarrollo? Seguridad? Calidad? Respeto? Dignidad?...

Debo agregar que fui a 2 audiencias presidenciales, de los 2 ultimos gabinetes, apelando misericordia y presentando su Historial documentado, su aporte, su trabajo, mil razones, etc.
Y solo obtuvo 10 meses mas..
En buen chileno ..Un parche, ninguna Solucion.

I'm so sorry for you and your family, certainly you guys didn't deserve to be treated like that. Hi Jon. I have written to you in several occasion in the past. I just wanted to say that according to Chilean Immigration Law, both parents of a child born in Chile, are automatically given pemanent residency. Unless one or both parents have a criminal background. Which I am sure it's not your family's case, otherwise neither of you would have ever gotten visas not even for one month. I would definitely pursue the parent of a natural born in Chile avenue. It will work, I know, and faster than you think. I don't understand how can your Attorney has not done this by now. The problem is you have only gone to immigration sounds like. I have some important contacts in Chile, if you're still interested, I would be happy to see what and how we could possibly help you guys.

I think we aren't getting the full story or Jon needs to fire his lawyer that may be "nice" but have failed miserabley at something pretty basic,,, especially considering Jon's prominence and connection with large Chilean TV network ...makes zero sense that she couldn't get her visa

I agree your son was born in Chilenit should allow you to get residency. In stgo you go to Teatinos 180 Stgo first floor you have to wait but you can go ask. I have dual.citizenship and before rat I went there to make sure everything was in order you need to go there early and get online

Jon creo que deberias pedir ayuda a tus contactos en la Red para que expongan tu caso en las noticias, puede que no solo sea un problema que los afecte a ustedes sino que algun problema mayor en inmigracion. no tiene ningun sentido que les niegen la visa a ustedes que cumplen a cabalidad con todos y mas de los requisitos. espero puedan resolver esto y lamento mucho que tengan que irse por algo tan inoperante y vergonzoso como es la burocrasia e inoperancia en nustro pais.

What a shame, I’m heartbroken for you guys leaving. This s the reality of many immigrants right now in Chile, they’re been forgotten for at least the last two years. I’ve been reading about many people saying the immigration office there has lost many files and they’re knowledge it’s their fault, but not taken any responsibility for the time, money and troubles caused to thousands of people.
I’m really sorry you’re one of them, I hope this give a reality check to Chileans about the hard path of immigrants in Chile. I wish you the best and I hope you can return someday if is in your plans .

You cannot imagine how sad I feel at this very moment. You were part of my weekly video routine and I've always felt you all as locals, like my neighbours... It's so so frustrating. I've seen my city, Linares, through your eyes and I have felt amazed with tiny little things that you've grasped that no foreigners had done before. I can remember I saw you once walking down Independencia street and I told my mom "look! That's tío Jon!!!" Then I explained to her all the way you've been through during these years and how much you've contributed to our self perspective of what our culture is about. She started seeing the videos since then.

¡No puede ser! Echaba de menos tus vídeos desde hace tiempo y me encuentro con este triste episodio. Tus vídeos me impulsaron a parar el Linares en mis viajes de vacaciones al sur, llevo dos años parando y me encanta Linares. Hiciste mucho por esa ciudad. Muchos echaremos de menos tus vídeos pero serán muchos más que han recibido tu amistad allá en Linares los que lamente tu partida.
Something to consider, is that there's a reciprocity principle applies. If you country makes it difficult for Chileans to obtain visas, it would be difficult, or expensive for you.

I'm so sorry to hear about you, your family and everything you've done for Chile is coming to an end . You really don't deserve what you've been going through. It 's been a huge contribution to show Chile to us and many other people abroad. I was a privileged to have met you and you made such a wonderful video about Universidad de Talca . I wish there was a possibility for you and family to keep on living in Chile. But I know authorities have been really terrible with you and I feel nothing but ashamed. PS: I knew it had to be something major as to why we had not heard from you, but I am so saddened and feel so ashamed by the inefficiencies of the Chilean immigration offices that led to this point. God has a plan for you three and hopefully you can apply to immigrate at a later date.

Wn estoy llorando 😭😭😭😭 no lo puedo creer, nunca he sido contra inmigrantes creo que enriquecen nuestra cultura y sobre todo tú y tu linda familia que han aportado tanto a dar a conocer el país y al bilingüismo, sé que muchas personas ahora saben mejor inglés por tu canal y tu trabajo... también sé que las VISAS son récomplicadas yo tuve que congelar mis estudios doctorales porque hubo problemas en la asignación de la visa y hacer nuevamente los trámites sale muy caro, además de atrasarme más de un año en mis estudios que son de 4 años... Sé lo que sienten, pena y decepción pero como dices es un nuevo comienzo... Creo que deberían darte la NACONALIDAD POR GRACIA!!! por todo lo que has dado a este país... GRACIAS, GRACIAS, GRACIAS!!! Deberíamos exigirle al servicio jesuita migrante que hagan su pega, ya que le han dado visa a cualquier basura y no se la van a dar a la gente honesta.
