      I think it might be because he’s on some sorta time limit. He might jus be a shitty restorer but they have a location in LA where they film in Santa Fe springs and this is a very lengthy restoration that should take an 2 days and he probably took like 4 hours doing this 😂

    What products from angelus can you use to paint of surfaces like the Jordan 3&4 back tabs

    • @AngelusBrand
      @AngelusBrand  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use the paint with the additive 2-Hard. That will harden the paint onto the surface. If that surface is too flexible, this will not work well.

    • @AngelusBrand

      Hi there, with the correct preparation it should. You would need to take off the old glue completely. I recommend a lot of research showing how to do that. There are a few different methods to try.

      Shame it's double the price her in the UK. Still, compared to the cost of a new pair of trainers.
      BTW, how many soles could I reattach with the amount in one pot?

    Couple questions: do you know of anyone in other areas of the country that do this kind of work? And, how much should a person expect to pay for services like this? I went to a local shoe repair guy with my Bball shoes and he said, this is so easy I won't let you hire me, I'll sell you the glue and you can do it... he sold me some industrial super glue called bulldog, and he admitted that it may not last long, but insisted that is what they use in the industry for shoes with synthetic materials. I was going to go ahead and try it, but the more I thought about it, I'm not so sure. I want it to last and have flex

    • @AngelusBrand
      @AngelusBrand  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are so many people worldwide that restore shoes. We would not know of any specifics. I believe bulldog is a water based glue. Not sure how well that will hold with sole swaps. We recommend using any type of cement glue. Sole swaps are a big job. So it takes some time to learn. Which is just part of the craft. If you have any further questions, please feel free to email us info@angelusdirect.com Thanks

    Some advice to those going attempt their first resole; first of all it's harder than it looks. Secondly just be careful with the heat gun. You can warp the soles and on any 'Air' sole you can actually burst it. I messed up a pair of Jordan TE2s pretty bad once ;) Good luck.

    I have a question about the upper & midsole glueing step, starting @ 7:39. After letting the glue sit for 30 mins, you only heat up the edges to reattach. What about the large area in the middle? Without heating that part up, will you still get a good enough bond?

    • @AngelusBrand
      @AngelusBrand  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Although it didn't show it, you can head up the middle of the bottom before placing the upper onto the midsole before working the edges!

      Wrong you want to glue edges first (as shown in the video) once done with that u heat the inside of the shoes lightly to secure the bond. Take your time

I'm just getting the whole restoration thing, but I still have my flaws and now I'm at the point of being a professional at SHOE Restoration. Any information I can get to get on that level plus let me know or better yet show me. It takes patience,concentration, dedication and money of course.

    I took some vintage buffaloes to a shoe repair shop and they butchered them and tore the soles. Do you do repair submissions for $ and video?

    Can we use a hair dryer if we dont have a heat gun?

    • @AngelusBrand
      @AngelusBrand  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes absolutely! However, a heat gun will give off more heat than a blow dryer.
