I might as well join the party , I turned 67 today & been riding around 30 years , still riding hard burning hills and you name it , the trick is to never hang the bike up ! Damn I can't wait to ride tomorrow ! ❤
And the algorithm throws me another well timed gem. Turning 68 this week, riding MTB for over 30 yrs & was year-round bike commuter for almost that long. Mostly eMTB now, to get to the top of the hill that many more times, and to explore where I might not on my acoustic MTB. Had my wife watch this with me, now she doesn't think I am such an outlier.
A 77 year old here..... fractured my pelvis on a drop in around 3 years ago but was lucky and was back riding after 3 months. Earlier this year (2024) I did succumb and got an e-mtb which I have to admit I love. Opens up so many more opportunities to session some of the downhills. Btw, I celebrated my 70th by riding the Col de Tourmalet. A wonderful experience. Currently riding about 4 times a week.
Great video! I've been mountain biking for more than 20 years. I just turned 65 and rewarded myself with a new and plusher bike. You doesn't stop riding because you get old. You get old because you stop riding. I'm taking a jump clinic this spring. Never stop learning.
I'm 67 and decided to get into biking to keep myself in shape. Today I had my first ride and with it also my first crash. I braked and stud up as I was trying to lift the front wheel over a small obstacle at the same time and the front suspension engaged throwing my body over and hit the ground. Luckily I didn't hurt myself badly just a few bruises but it was a good learning experience. I can't wait for the next ride. You guys are an great inspiration. Keep riding and stay safe.
I kust subscribed and would like to see more of your biking adventures. I am 72, disabled vet and just getting back into riding after 25 years away due to some health issues and liviing overseas. Keep it going. You are motivating many people.
As a 32 year old who just got back into biking and really got serious about it for the first time this is wonderful to see. Im glad to know that if you want it bad enough you can continue doing this longer than the average person will even live! So basically for the majority of us this is proof we can MTB our whole lives. Very very cool. It cant be easy but im so glad these two are still at it and in a meaningful way at that.
OL mountain bikers rule, gd onya guys,lm a 66yr old Kiwi mtber with 20yrs riding notched up. One tip ld like to recommend, once l mastered the track stand balancing my riding improved 100%.Cheers Kiwi Don.
The key to mountain biking is riding every single day, young or old. Age doesn't matter because most of the older people are are in better shape than the sedentary younger people anyway.
66...6’2”...275...with a total knee replacement. I have to be careful ...but love doing it. The ole big bod hurts in the mornings. The smaller guys have it much easier ...but so it goes. We need more senior bikers. Not afraid to get off and walk ...Taking unnecessary risks could put me off my bike permanently...
I feel that it's somehow dangerous for elder people to riding on downhill trail. I prefer mountain biking for wheelie, bunny hop , , , with sport activity and more fun

I’m 68 ride mtb and road bikes. Usually 10-15 hours per week. I’m convinced cycling is the closest thing to a fountain of youth!
SO motivating!

Old guys doing stupid. “I’ve been in critical care twice.” Some people can’t get no education.
Many of those uneducated people use double negatives.
@@zed5129Fortunately I have a degree.
I feel sorry for you… you’ll never understand…
