    How were you able to get the shark bite and even drain to fit through and seal to the threaded water tanks? I'm noticing that neither fit directly into it, did you have to cut away at the hole in the cap of the water tank to get it to fit in?

    Really appreciate all your videos, they’ve helped me a ton. I installed a similar setup with regards to the hoses and Home Depot fittings.
    With this setup, have you ever noticed some almost metallic/rubbery/chemical smelling water with white aerated foam coming out for just only 10 seconds or so when you first pump water after it’s been sitting for a day?
    I’m having that issue, and it’s only the water that’s been in the lines, not the tank (like it doesn’t start smelling/tasting weird til 2-3 seconds after running my faucet and that stops after maybe 10 seconds of running it)
    And I’ve tasted my water off my tank’s drain valve, tastes and smells fine.
    The water in my tank tastes fine, but something in my shurflo pump, accumulator, all these vinyl hoses or metal fittings, or faucet is making it taste/smell off briefly each time…
    Idk 😂 maybe back to the drawing board on this one for me

    hey Colton, thanks for the great video... just wondering, do you know if the pump, when not pumping but still powered up, draws a small current? Maybe it does because it's always sensing for pressure, but maybe that pressure sensing is purely mechanical. I'm trying to avoid phantom loads... if the pump draws power when not in use, I'll locate the switch in a real convenient location. Otherwise, I'll put the switch in a cabinet.

    Hey Buddy. I am confused. I used your guide to frame my van. Thank you. I do not want to drill any holes in my van to release the grey water. I only drink bottled water but will use fresh water in the shower and kitchen sink. HELP, HELP. I have two water tanks one for fresh and one for grey

      @@AnkeneyVanBuilds is there a way to drain the grey water tank by opening the door and using some sort of drain hose?

    Awesome vid! Is the pump that loud though?

      @AnkeneyVanBuilds  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, It really isn't that loud in person. I think its just the way the microphone picked it up. I noticed it was really loud when editing it too. its especially not that loud when all the cabinet doors are closed. Good question!

    Couldn't you just connect the negative line from the pump to the negative tab of the rocker switch? Instead of having to run 2 negative lines all the way back to your fuse block?

    What are the dimensions of the countertop?

    • @AnkeneyVanBuilds
      @AnkeneyVanBuilds  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Let’s see, if I remember correctly. The longer countertop is roughly 48”L x 22”D and the other is roughly 21”X21”
      I left a 1/2” overhang on all sides of the cabinet (not including the side against the wall)

      @@AnkeneyVanBuilds thank you. I wanted to keep the sliding door side of the van 20” for sake of the aisle, but saw the requirements for the sink (the sink you used) are 21”. That’s why I asked. Looks like you followed the requirements. Do you think I can get away with a 20” width? I want to use the same sink. Thanks once again for the help
