I like how they treat Mcdonalds Nuggets as a meal now, like a 4-6pc was an add-on back in the day. I was in Asia recently and their McD prices are just so much better over there, and quality wise 10x.
US politicians complain China prices are too low as Americans suffer!
You're paying higher prices for lower-quality fast food that's worse for your health because the ingredients aren't as fresh as they used to be years ago. And back then, fast food was not only better but also more affordable. No thanks-I'd rather make a PB&J!
Fast food has run off their customers will lousy food, high prices and bad service and will never get them back!
Red lobster did not file for bankruptcy because of endless shrimp. Red lobster filed for bankruptcy because of mismanagement and exorbitant rents, because of loss of property ownership.
And then they gave away 80 tons of shrimp for a single price. Two things can be right, you don't have to be.

Yea I will believe prices are coming down when McDonald's goes back to charging only 99 cents for a large iced tea.
Considering I can have 100 homemade, unsweetened iced teas for $1.25 even at $1 the fast food tea would be very expensive.
Once prices go up, they don't come down. Not to where you want them too anyway.
@@happycook6737 if you can get 100 cups of tea for $1.25 I would be very skeptical of that tea. Don’t buy tea at the dollar store. You don’t know what’s in those teabags.

McDonald's was helped along by that E.Coli spread.
@ML-te6qv I fired Chick-fil-A too
Me too, in 2010. Lost 90 lbs in 10 months. Ditched the 6 medications I was taking. Life is good. Never again.
We did too. Last I ate McD's was June 2023 with the Grimace meal. That was $14 for a freaking Big Mac! Never again.
I thought inflation and higher wages drove up the prices.

They may slash prices , but the quality was majorly slashed as well , lets not forget its junk food to beging with .
Exactly the meal deal at Chili's happens to be junk food if you want the healthy item, not frozen packed at the restaurant , it's going to cost you a little more
Honestly this is a blessing in disguise with fast food prices being high. That means starting eating home and eating healthy
I haven't had fast food since 2017. Stop eating stuff that's not good for you.

Its been probably a year since I ate at McDonalds but I had the $5 value meal there today on a bike ride with friends. Had McDouble, 4 nuggets, small fry and small soda. Looked at the price for the #1 Big Mac value meal and it was $10.59 here in Tampa. That's just highway robbery.
That’s what it costs here in Michigan too 10.59 (not using app to save 25%)… i remember that same meal in the late 80’s into say 1994/5 being 2.99.
I forget whose video I was watching yesterday but she was showing us the deal the McDonald’s app offered her. It was like $10 for some meal deal, and she showed us that in another country that same meal deal costs less and it comes with a chicken sandwich.
Never been to a Chili's. Now I'm interested, but no locations nearby enough for me to run to and back on my work lunch break.
Chili's doesn't have to pay their employees. $11 plus tip is not as cheap and it takes longer. Xashiers at Chili's want a tip for to-go items but the cashiers don't work on tips.
My wife and I have paid an average of $26 to $30 at fast food take outs for a burger, fries, and a drink. This is crazy and not sustainable for many Americans.
Red Robin .... do it
Y’all must be in the city, not using apps or something, I could’ve definitely gotten an extra meal and couple extras for that price easy
That’s the cost of 2 meals at 5Guys might be more
McDonald's is just awful at any price
always has been .
Yup whether people pay $10 for a meal or $5. $10 or $5 is NOT WORTH getting obese and having diabetes, plus I am pretty sure they have hmn mean in there. 🤢
Just like most of these fast food restaurants, they used to be better. Quality is not priority with these places anymore and not just restaurants.
My local McDonald's has a $1,$2,$3 menu on the board....and the cheapest item on it is $2.43! Blatant rip.
Gmo , filler packed and artificial flavored foods made that possible
In CALIFORNIA where my brother lives he said McDonald’s is $18.00 for a double quarter pounder meal !!!!😳😳😳😳 THAT’S INSANE !!!!
Too little too late. Groceries are too expensive but still way cheaper than eating out…even if they do lower prices.
Plus at least you know you washed your hands before you handled the food you’re going to eat. After seeing people scream in 2020 that they didn’t need to wash their hands because they don’t feel sick, no thanks
Not always true.
I went to the BK near me and waited outside the door for 10 minutes to decide if I want to order there or go somewhere else. I noticed the place was almost empty, except for one guy eating inside. If not for that guy sitting there, I thought the place was closed. It's crazy how their inflated prices killed off their loyal customers. At this point, it's cheaper to eat in a higher quality restaurant like Chili's.
It's cheaper to make your own food... why u guys so lazy

Moved to Asia for 5 years starting in 2016, and prices at McDonald's were like 6 or 7$ for a big mac meal when I left. Prices in Korea and Japan didn't change while I was there (though admittedly their burgers are smaller). Imagine my surprise when I came back, ordered a big mac meal and had to pay over 11$ for it... the changes weren't gradual for me at all, made it incredibly obvious!
Its about time.
I have not eaten at McDonald's since 2020, not because it increased its prices, but the quality went down with higher prices. Don't mind paying more but NEVER, EVER mess with quality.
Unlimited shrimp had nothing to do with Red Lobster's bankruptcy.
I know if that was the case then all buffets would go out of business.
The one in my area is still open, how i don't know...they stopped maintaining the exterior and interior well over a decade ago and they've always had the lowest of low employees, it's basically the last stop for ppl who don't want to work in fast food go as a last ditch effort
Two words: Private Equity
Everything else on their menu was ridiculously expensive, you could get much better quality going to a local seafood spot for a few more bucks.
Yes it did lol
Stopped buying anything at McDonalds ten years ago except for an occasional black coffee
McDonalds raised the pricing over 100% (a lot even higher) over the pandemic thinking no one would care, now they are realizing people can't afford to pay $100+ to feed a family of 4 for ONE supper meal. Here in Canada a double cheeseburger used to be $1.69, now it's $3.29 for 1 burger.
Sad part is, a lot of places rather close down than lower their prices
Mcds can kiss it.aint paying 10$ for grey meat burger
This used to be 3 for 10 for almost all entrees in 2021-2022. Now its 3 for 11, with fewer options and fan favorites are more expensive than 11. The prices never decreased. They got higher

This is proof that refutes the corporate greed buzzword that low IQ people throw around. Greed is constant, so it’s like trying to figure out why a plane crashed to the ground and you say it’s because of gravity. This video proves that businesses do not set market prices, because if they did, why would they be cutting prices? Capitalism works.
I got 2 big Macs and it was $40 plus tax. Don't eat there, there's better places to eat at. I would recommend making burgers at home anyways, it's way wayy better and tastier.
THIS is what a free market actually is. THIS is competition! Finally companies lowering their prices to compete instead of colluding to keep prices high.
Il rather pay $18 for a local joint where the price a few bucks more but size and taste is way better.
Maybe they should have done this before ripping people off at their first opportunity, I lived on fast food as a bachelor, I went to McDonald's last year and couldn't believe the horrible taste, the super jacked up prices, have fun trying to scam your way back
And that’s the thing, they think people will come back? Nah. Once people find alternatives they’re not coming back.
Too Late! I’m never going back to several dining establishments, and McDonalds is top of the list. Same goes for any name where things like Shrinkflation are the status quo. Too Late!!
We no longer eat from fast food restaurants. If I’m paying that much then might as well eat at casual diner. You can pick up .
NO! Keep those prices high. I haven't eaten fast food since 2020 and seeing $13 for a medium quarter-pounder meal was for sure keeping that streak alive for me.
I would love to see every fast-food company file for Chapter 7.
I'd rather pay higher prices for quality food. Places like McDonald's need to know their role in life and stay in their lane.

These restaurants like Chili’s and Applebee’s still don’t get it. Thee temporary price drops are only going to fill their restaurants temporarily until prices go back up. The reason they can’t compete long-term with fast food restaurants is because people are fed up with the escalating inflation and having to tip 15% minimum or more for a waiter.

You know when you can go to Whole Foods and get 3 precooked grilled salmon filets and a large organic salad, for less then a meal for two at Mc Donald's that there is a serious issue. How dose Mc Donald's value their food more then a salmon dinner? The quality isn't even close.

Yeah, but after they jacked up prices for the past 4 years. I only occasionally go to McDonald’s for their fries now.
I was never a big fast food guy, but I am finding that more of my occasional fast food trips are being replaced with trips to local fast-casuals because the prices are the same, but the food is waaaayy better. With pick-up, and to-go options available, the only reasons I probably don’t exclusively go to fast-casuals now are location and habit-but things can change.
Why is it so hard for people to believe that McDonalds is not serving food?
