interesting how this is the most education ive received about drugs even tho i grew up with the internet. im 30 and went thru all of public school in so cal... i never was shown such a realistic film showing the reality of drugs... in health class my teacher said she was gonna do a bunch of drugs one day lmfao...
Cigarettes and alcohol have had more destructive effects on mental and physical health, relationships, employment and social stability than all illegal drugs combined.
@@Suddenlyits1960 For your information.. I don't smoke, drink alcoholic beverages or consume cannabis. I have never consumed any drug stronger than an aspirin. Neither do I drink beverages that contain caffeine or sugar. However I have witnessed people close to me die horrible deaths from tobacco use. I have seen close friends of mine have their health, families and employment destroyed by alcohol addiction. Making a substance legal does not make it moral. Corporate interests that promote and profit from alcohol and tobacco sales are no better than the pushers of opiates exposed in the video. As are the pharmaceutical corporations that promote products their own research has found harmful. Merely stating the facts behind alcohol and tobacco use does not make me an advocate of illegal substances.
@AnthroImperzia When they decriminalized drugs in Portugal drug related deaths and HIV cases plummeted. It's almost as if it's easier to treat addiction when addicts aren't terrified of going to prison.
@anthroimperzia3927not that you asked my opinion, but I believe that we should legalize and regulate all drugs. In California we have dispensaries for marijuana . Now, if we had dispensaries for all illegal drugs, I believe that it would cut down the amount of deaths that we see each and every day from overdoses, especially those from Fentanyl
This uses some footage from Narcotics: The Whole Truth (or something like that). That was over an hour, black and white and it wasn't exactly made for reuse like this. It was a training video for police. I'm surprised to see some of its footage and script reused.

Are you really? Trust me, addiction doesn't discriminate. It doesn't care about your educational level, wealth, social status, religion, colour, etc. It can (and does) affect everyone the same.
@sunshinedaydream70 yeah I know me I turn down drugs all the time I drink alcohol when I please I'm a grown man who works and I use medical cannabis for a medical reason I have a state issued card I use too be someone who used meth I simply don't I don't want too and I have a great job
This shows that the parents were to blame for most of this. They were hypocrites, guzzling martinis, popping tranquilizers and amphetamines, smoking, imposing double standards, and not being able to relate to the teens of the day, while saying "Don't ever do drugs." They even had a problem with their music, not realizing the jitterbug tunes of their youth were just as shocking to their parents. There is an excellent novelty-type song that came out in 1967, later re-released in 1971, that illustrates this. It's called "Once You Understand" by Think. It was actually banned from radio in 67, as parents were probably offended by the truth.
You are right. That’s an argument for legalization of MJ. Buying MJ from a dealer was my exposure to meth. If there was a store I could have gone to instead I’d never have seen it at a dealers house.

😂 the Good Old Days... when America was extremely prosperous, the Music was Great and the worst problem in America was just young people wanting to be Hippies...
What a grim piece of propaganda. Fast forward to 2023 when any drug can be tainted with fentanyl and a few micrograms could be the hotshot that takes a life. A $100 a day habit in the early 60's is staggering. Minimum wage back then was $1.10-$1.50.
Yes, you are the better person. If I could give you a pat on the back, I would. Your complete lack of empathy shines bright and your ignorance to how complex addiction is literally burns.
I asked and I received. More “drugs are bad” content. Nice animation and opening score too!
Girl goes from alcohol to pills to reefer to shooting heroin in a week. This is a good scare flick, even teaches you how to shoot up.
It was films like this that made drugs exciting as a young child.

Depends on what they're selling. Cannabis nor psychedelics have ever directly killed anyone.

Yeah but nothing about this film is remotely true, it’s totally propaganda and lies. That’s why they don’t show this stuff anymore.
It would be nice if today's drug users were this classy

@AnthroImperzia Crazy thing is, I know a few people who actually thinks hard drugs should be legal. Like you said, get all of it outta here.
