That acknowledgment question threw me in a loop, too. Acknowledgements are like always in the back but I remember one day when I opened a book to start reading and the acknowledgements were in the front and I was shook. I’ve only ever seen that once and I can’t remember which book it is so if I ever did this and got that question and landed on that book, I’d literally cry because I’d automatically say it’s in the back.

Neal Shusterman actually puts his acknowledgements in the beginning of his books (Thunderhead, scythe are examples ☝🏻)
I would say that "graphic novel" is a format (like audio, ebook, picture book, hardcover etc) not a gente, but the genre you did say was correct!
