Everyone is raving about You're Next.
Yes, You're Next is a good slasher/home invasion flick.
But The Guest is far superior movie from this creative duo in my opinion.
I adore it, I watch it every halloween season since few years, and I recommend it to all my friends.
Perfect flick!
It's funny, there are so many awesome horror movies from 2010s , but both The Guest and It Follows (both 2014 movies:)) managed to connect with me in a special way.
I love everything about these two movies.
Maybe because both are a perfect love letters to old classics we all love.
The Guest it's like an 80s SF action flick with some Halloween elements.
It Follows is a curse/ghost/whatever version of Halloween and A Nightmare on Elm Street.

Fun fact apparently the composer bought the equipment John Carpenter used to score Halloween 3 and Steve Moore used that equipment to score The Guest. It’s always cool to see a film reference Halloween 3 and the references were wonderful
I thought You’re Next, A Horrible way to Die, and the segments from VHS 1 & 2 were going to be the best things Adam Wingard and Simon Barrett were ever going to make. I was dead wrong because The Guest is one of my favorite films of all time and probably my favorite film around the 2010’s. I love the story, direction, writing and soundtrack so much. This film was old school entertainment it was like Halloween 3 meets The Terminator. Definitely a future cult classic.

@@screamrad218 Thanks as I only watch dvds so I have to watch trailers on phone to see what things look like. I read a tv mag to see what they're pushing and read film reviews in that but they aren't always good

I love this movie, it’s fantastic and visually stunning, I think this film sits well along side Drive, Nightcrawler and The Neon Demon
First saw it in 2016. ...Great film! ....they have been teasing a sequel for years. .....they need to hurry up and get to it.

Hi Barry i remember watching this in 2018 i really enjoyed this film good script and good acting in my top 3 movies from 2010 to now maybe i need to watch it again.
