I like the detail that Rascal doesn't go to Hunter until after he expresses wanting to choose his future. A Palisman who is constantly trying to escape for a Witch who longs for freedom.
I think because in the beginning he wanted freedom too when he was trying to run away like the bat queen said palisman bond through struggles and goals so flapjack probably related to hunter when he was telling luz his story so he became his palisman btw just my opinion you dont need to agree tbh its not a valid reason bit still
I get that everyone thinks that the Abomination Coven's head is hot, but can we please take a moment to appreciate the head of the Beast Keeping Coven and how adorable they are?
I don't think Amity stayed home because she is emberessed. It most likely is because of her parents who seem to be supporting Belos' ban of wild magic because the Blight parents don't have Palisman themself, as Palisman are seen to be wild magic(Em and Ed also don't seem to have Palisman because of the same reasons). Amity dyeing her hair purple instead of green might also be a reason.
I don’t know anymore about Belos being Philip but my personal theory is for whatever reason Philip(the first human) had kids on the boiling Isles and Hunter is one of his descendants
Hunter has pointy ears. I remember that in first season other witches made it a huge thing when they saw Luz has human (oval) ears, realizing she is in fact a human cause of that So yeah, Hunter has to be some sort of a mix if he has pointy ears
I think Luz's goal is to protect the human and magical realm. Restoring wild magic back could also be her goal. Her palisman may be an otter or a bird type. Perhaps a peacock(to obvious) or crane.
It could be an griffin, since Luz made one in the first EPs montage, and it's kind of a bird but not quite www.reddit.com/r/TheOwlHouse/comments/kiug57/animated_an_griffin_staff_for_luz/
I'm almost 100% certain that her Palisman is going to be an otter. Otters have a lot of symbolism associated with them including change, creativity, and hard work, all of which fit Luz rather well. Otters are also very community orient creatures, and that definitely plays into the idea that if the two worlds are merged she would be the bridge that connects them because she has family on both sides.

@@rowquerpaz8265 Maybe, but I was thinking in Book 1 where Zuko and Admiral Zhao are professional rivals both trying to accomplish the same goal of capturing the avatar to win the favor of their leader and solidify their position in the fire nation. Hunter is a baby he got so hurt after Luz said he wasn’t her friend. Also Hunter isn’t a bad guy if he was then the Palisman wouldn’t have chosen him because if he were evil it would have felt threatened. Hunter also needs a home where’s he’s clearly not being abused
I assuming they relationship is a dark reflection of what Eda has with Luz. The term "family" don't require blood relation. Just us how our heroes shares they spirit and curiosity, as the same Belos and Hunter familiarity coming from they inability to use magic in the regular methods. Specially true this to Belos current condition, may has been a sidefect of his link to the Titanheart was demonstrated at Season 1 which resembles to Eda's curse. It's a cliché thing that heroes and villains has similar baggage. However as a wise man once said: “The reason that clichés become clichés is that they are the hammers and screwdrivers in the toolbox of communication.”
The parallels between Hunter and Luz are really cool. They're also foils in a way, especially their relationship with their respective "family", Luz/Eda and Hunter/Belos. Eda always makes sure to do things for Luz's sake, while Belos makes Hunter do dangerous things for his own sake. Belos also represses Hunter's obvious interest in wild magic and decides his future for him, while Eda gives Luz the freedom to explore what she wants in life. No wonder the little Cardinal chose Hunter, cause even though we can't hear him, he's screaming "I want freedom". The last shot of Hunter and the window, almost looks like an open cage.
It's also palisman adoption day... Maybe the parents don't approve, since it's a new thing and palismen seem to be not illegal but kinda sketchy in terms of Boiling Isles politics (see Hunter's initial reaction to Lil'Rascal). What's sure is that Luz definitely blames herself for this, as she always does.
The 1 second of pure fear in Zamber's eyes when he squeeze the cardinal palismen was amazing. Hunting palismen > Hunter's Palismen I see what they did there

OMG I JUST REALIZE SOMETHING At the end when GG/Hunter looks out the window, the shadows cover half of him This could symbolize his internal conflict, with the shaded side being his loyalty to Belos and doing what he is good, where as the lightened side represents the good in him, and him wanting to do what he wants and what is right
I was thinking about this, and I don't think Belos is human. First off: Belos would have to be Phillip, considering he is the only other human to have ever been in the boiling isles. And since hunter is powerless (hence him having a human ancestor) it wouldn't make sense if Belos is Phillip. Because if Belos was Philip, he wouldn't be an uncle, he would rather be a father, or grandfather to Hunter. Of course this theory can be proven incorrect if Phillip had brought someone ELSE with him who was human, Or if there was another human that WASN'T related to Phillip at all, and that's why Hunter is considered special. Or it's just a red herring. Who knows.
12:33 pretty sure it was the bandage that make her realize. Also hunter seems fitting, it's human like...which is hunter. (To some extent) The title of the episode "Hunting palismans". Hunting= Hunter Also, I kind want luz's palisman to be a mouse, since she's currently taking care of one! And lastly I thrive of hunter and Luz's siblings dynamic!!
The vision at the beginning showed an eclipse. The carving of King's dad also showed an eclipse. Amity's necklace in the intro is an eclipse. There's an episode this season called "eclipse lake"
I now require more episodes with Hunter! Maybe some episodes where we see his life inside the castle, taking care of his palismen, and where he finds out where Luz is and brings his palismen over for a play date with Owlbert (imagine Owlbert and Little Rascal flying and playing together😍😍😍) but secretly came so he could learn more about glyph magic from Luz, striking up a conversation about books they’ve read and research he’s done Uncle Belos doesn’t want him to talk about.
this episode was a big reminder of aang and zuko from avatar to me. i mean heck look at belos throne room its very similar to the fire lords throne room with the fire in the background. the burned hair at the end with hunter kinda represents zuko burned eye. the air baloon lol. i guess i souldnt be surprised with that "thats rough buddy" line being dropped a few episodes ago we all know there avatar fans :P

Golden gaurd sounds like Varian from tangles or is that just me?
Luz and Golden Guard are all Sibling Energy
OMG I JUST REALIZE SOMETHING
At the end when GG/Hunter looks out the window, the shadows cover half of him
This could symbolize his internal conflict, with the shaded side being his loyalty to Belos and doing what he is good, where as the lightened side represents the good in him, and him wanting to do what he wants and what is right
UR HAIR- GIRL UR HAIR IS SO PRETTY, the new change in colour is very nice I like that shade of pink! 😭💞
I See Luz Slap Hunter, And I Think "Disney Is Trying Really Hard To Please All The Lumity Shippers" Which Includes Me
Reason I love this show, it does not mystery monger. It drops knowledge when needed and fast.
In Hunter’s room, you can see Sprig Plantar from Amphibia and Remy Remington from Big City Greens.
The Emperor’s Coven killed Sprig!
I notice how its specifically Amity and Luz who didn't get Palismans. I feel like this will be important later on. Romantically important.
I think Luz might end up spitting her palisman bark with Amity
@@penne4107 or even give it all to Amity if Luz decides she doesn't want a palisman due to the whole human/witch thing
11:29 well that aged well
I was thinking about this, and I don't think Belos is human.
Of course this theory can be proven incorrect if Phillip had brought someone ELSE with him who was human,
Or if there was another human that WASN'T related to Phillip at all, and that's why Hunter is considered special.
Or it's just a red herring.
Who knows.
Golden Guard is a angy child
11:35
You freaking prophet
I really want her to make a good witch azura book related palisman
Kiki mora did remember she just thought her pet already ate him she wanted him dead
Did only eddawiz figure out the golden gaurd was whistleing the owl house theme
I litteraly waited for this since yesterday. In intro she was so extited but didnt know what she've got ! We love you Zamber :3
Luz and hunter are so giving some sibling vibe I can never watch all their moments to gather
I can't help but to notice, blond guy taken by the organisation that uses him and a red bird having a big scar over their left eye that likes him...Has the staff been watching mha, because they remind me of Hawks and Endeavour. 😆
Getting Aang & Zuko vibes from Luz & Hunter
