Now if I can just figure out how to use this to record gigs with the output from my BOSS VE8 to my IPad mini 6. I have not been able to make it work with the go mixer pro x. Oddly I can use my TC Helicon Play acoustic out to my EV Everse 8 and connected by USB to my IPad mini6 without an intermediator type device such as this. Any ideas to make it work with my Voss VE-8?
Great video thanks ! I agree that separate tracks through USB would have been nice, at worst having the microphone on one side and all the others on the other side as you suggest would already great if they can’t separate everything to different tracks. Otherwise very versatile device providing plenty of different type of inputs. Can also be useful when connected to an MPC or M+ on when using music apps on the iPhone iPad. Any idea if the guitar port could also take bass synth when in bass mode without altering the sound ? It would have been good if it was also line level switchable. Also do you know if an iPad Pro 11/13 inch can be used with its built-in stand ?
The guitar/bass port is at instrument level not line level. A synth line level will make it distort. For the experience I have, nothing else than the iPad charger works with the iPad Pro stand USB c connector. I had to connect it to the iPad connector.
@@Nu-trix Thanks. I was actually talking about the Roland Go Mixer Pro X stand feature and if it can carry an iPad Pro or if the weight or size of it isn’t appropriate.
@@Nu-trix thanks for checking this out. That’s cool. I was looking at those studio interface stands for iPad and they were all quite expensive, outdated or were fitting only certain models of iPads. This product suits pretty well that use case of an iPad as a synth module. If only it had separate tracks through USB it would have been a no-brainer.
I need to record a bunch of instruments all at once while recording a video of me doing it live with my phone can this thing do that ? I just need synth vocals and guitar ?
Thanks for the informative, articulate video. I have a home studio with 8 ch. mixer and cubase, but I like the idea of this gadget because it delivers better audio to the cell phone, which I would like to play around with. I have a question before I go out and buy one of these. So, if I had my drum set with 8 mics going to my main studio mixer, I should be able to use the main
I want to plug in my acoustic guitar, my Shure phantom mic, and my iPhone and record my playing and singing at the same time without using any software of syncing afterwards. This is the solution? Thanks
Can it be used without the usb connected? Example audio in from mic or instrument and out into a hardware sampler without involving phone, tablet or laptop?
I have just ordered a verselab and I am interested in seeing this hooked up with a verselab. Because you could maybe throw in your own songs in their quickly while streeming mix it with a other device or bump up your streems with sound effects with your pads on the device. Can you check it out?
Not really, the loopback mix the playback of the App to the analog inputs and sends it again in the mix out (to the app). In some cases it will create a feedback if the app audio input is in active monitoring.
I cannot work with the USB as I was working with the previous model of the mixer pro...my smartphone is a Samsung Note 10 Plus (USB C) and is in the list of compatible devices (with a Snapdragon CPU, mine is the EXynos CPU), but...the sound does not go out connected by the USB, I cannot hear myself in the headphones, from my phone cannot hear nothing, the phone is like mute, not any sound from internet, etc. Could you help me? thanks a lot!
@@ffois76 I will try, thanks, but for example if you do a streaming (Facebook Live) how to give power and use the audio in 1 cable as in the Roland Go Mixer Pro model?
@Nu-Trix The Synth Guy the problem is the ipad pro 5th generation only has one USB c connection. The USB c cable that comes with the roland doesn't fit the port I've tried using it with the camera adapter and I can get any sound using bias fx2 💁♂️
I just bought both. They are on sale. I appreciate your review. Thanks!
Super vidéo !
For me , as a singer , à reverb would have been a game changer !!
Great review thank you very much.

Is the Roland Go mixer pro x still relevant or is something out better in 2024 at that price point?
Totally forgot the white cable was for iPad/iPhone recording 😅
I have this connected to rx3 but when hit record it records video but no sound what do I do please
Have you any idea what the device works like with the Roland TD30K? Great video by the way!
Great video thanks !

I have to test it. I did not use it because I have the Apple iPad Pro stand ( more flexible )
Yes, the stand of the Go:mixer Pro-X works even with an iPad Pro 12inches.

You could send your master mix out to the inputs of any of the interfaces

If I want to plug in my amp to the PRO using direct OUT; do you recommend XLR==XLR or XLR== ¼ inch?
You need a line level signal to send to the go Mixer (from the amp). If not I will burn the Go Mixer inputs. The Go Mixer uses 1/4 inch inputs.
can we record live video call audio of zoom app by plugging digital voice recorder through smartphone in/out jack into this mixer with good quality?
what is max gain for mic preamp?
Can it be used without the usb connected? Example audio in from mic or instrument and out into a hardware sampler without involving phone, tablet or laptop?
The go mixer pro x can run on batteries. Then no need for sub .
@@Nu-trix thanks!!
Will it sync sound if you make 4 separate videos? How?
All the videos will start at the same moment and record at the same sample rate. They will be easy to sync in a DAW.
Can i use my RC300 Loop Station in the instruments inputs ? I'd appreciate if you might reply. Thank you.
You can connect them in the line level instrument inputs but not in the guitar/bass input.
Whats a good alternative app instead of a 4xcamera for android, I had one with different channels but i deleted it by mistake?
Sorry, I don’t have any android device.

I had the versalab as a demo for testing. I don’t have it anymore.
does the loop back feature allow me to have back and forth conversation with someone on a live stream?
Not really, the loopback mix the playback of the App to the analog inputs and sends it again in the mix out (to the app). In some cases it will create a feedback if the app audio input is in active monitoring.
How many inputs and outputs you see when connected as an audio interface on mac or windows?
Stereo only. It is a mixer, so the output to the headphones and to the computer (or iOS device) is the stereo mix.
I wish they would have a voice track and a stereo mix .

Install Open camera, go to settings and change the input audio.Let me know if it works😉

Which is better Go mixer or Go mixer x ?
Both are discontinued. The real question is what is you goal for using one of them?
How do you duet on TikTok and why are there zero videos showing this?
I have no clue, I do not use TikTok.
I've bought this and can't believe it isn't compatible with the ipad pro 5th generation🤦♂️
I’m surprise because I used it with my iPhone 10, my iPad Pro 1st Gen and my iPad Pro M1 without any problem.

It should support any idevice running iOS 13 or later.
it has too much white noize...if u want record acoustic solo inst...dont buy it...plz lol
Can I just stream directly from my Iphone? Let's say live in Instagram.
