- This is my reaction/review for 'Sunchaser' and 'Sea of Fire' by The Wise Man's Fear! Both songs are taken from the album 'Atlas Ruinica' which is out now! While Sunchaser came out last summer, I have reserved a lot of the singles for the full album so it is new to me. Which track from the album is your favorite?

Just wanna say we're so happy you're digging the new stuff and it's really cool to hear from someone who held off listening to the singles as they came out! Love your methodical, thoughtful approach to analysis as always. It's super refreshing to watch someone who does it for the love of the music and not just crazy bree bree moments (though those can be fun for sure) 😅

Someone pointed out how good Joe's harsh vocals are in the comments section of Where the Sky is Empty, and I admittedly didn't appreciate it as much as it deserved before then. Sea of Fire blew me away and I'm ready for it to happen again as I listen to the rest of the album!
Makes me so happy they’re getting more recognition as they’ve been one of my favorites since first discovering Castle in the Clouds on Spotify in 2016. Every time I think they’ve peaked, they continue to impress, and this album is no different. Sea of Fire is far and away my favorite, followed by The Rival. It’s such a mature, refined, and yet energetic and fresh sound. I need them to headline shows and festivals now, pls.
Love these tracks and the whole album. Great to see you really enjoying them too! We really get so much variety on these two tracks so they were the perfect two for you to react too! Sea of Fire I think is my favourite so far! I've also broken your rules on the spreadsheet, definitely added Sea of Fire to multiple categories! Look forward to hearing your thoughts on the album as a whole!
I've still got two more to go as well! Keen to see if they're as good of a pairing as these two seemed to be! regardless, excited to check them out.

Sunchaser is my favorite and has been since I heard the single. The lyrics and melodies are so beautiful and catchy at the same time.
big choice! I still have two unheard tracks from the album but Sunchaser is a favorite for me so far!
Whole album is great
Honestly, holy hell I’m mad I haven’t heard of these guys! Exactly what I’ve been looking for. Fresh sound, that has everything. Gutturals, sweeping synths, great melody, and catchy even.
Love this band! Bout crapped myself during the sea of fire premiere when i saw Jordan in the antagonist role (been a huge fan of Seraphim since their Roots & Ruins album) then not what? an hour later TWMF premiered Solomon's Gate featuring Jordan. 2023 is going to be an awesome year for metal we've got TWMF Atlas Ruinica, the new Dope album, the new Sleep Token album, AND a new Seraphim album plus more that either haven't been announced yet or I have forgot about/haven't heard about.

Amazing video as always Rach! I too stopped listening to the singles just so I had more to listen to once the album dropped. I will admit, was not the biggest fan of Sunchaser when it released and only listened to it once...but when I went through the album it finally clicked for me. Sea of Fire though, I could go on and on about it. So good and so catchy!

Your reaction when the goblins came out in sea of fire made me laugh. Was equally shocked and very impressed. That chorus is one of my favorites by these guys.

My ear palette has not acclimated to the “goblin growls” in metal yet but I think this song might get me more okay with them! 😂 love both of these songs! Sunchaser has a very hopeful, uplifting feel! I think that one is my favorite so far. Those vocal layers are 🤌🏻💋 and I’m a sucker for the drum beat in the second verse.
I cannot say that I was expecting Joe to go goblin mode! glad you are digging them both :) I still have two more to check out off the album but the rest of it has been nonstop on the playlist!
