You kinda touched on it, but forgot to fully mention how Jon Jones has NEVER sat a man down with a punch. Closest he got was a liver shot to an already defeated Shogun Rua, who was an aging middleweight half Jon's size. So while that reach advantage is nasty, it's just the arms, and Tom does not need to fear his power. He can take a few hits. Jon's push jabs will not be able to keep Tom at a distance if Tom just decides to pressure him and walk through them. All in all, excellent video. Tom is a nightmare matchup for Jon. @@AlphaAbyss_ Here is real reasoning behind why Jones beats him, and Easily. Jones Defense is 100x better, Theres a reason he has never been rocked, let alone Knocked down. 20 title fights Btw. No one is getting past that 84 inch reach that is his defense combined with his fight iq. He rarely eats a solid punch. There goes Aspinall KO out the window. He gets picked apart by Jones superior Striking skills. Leg attacks, teeps, and if it comes to it Clinch Knees and Elbows. otherwise.. His grappling is Miles better and aspinall has shown nothing to suggest that his grappling is better. The " Non existant sample size" we have at him in heavyweight. is him disposing of Nr 1 heavyweight at the time in 3 min. Insanely quick takedown for Heavyweight. and submission right after. Now i ask you explain in detail, how does Tom beat Jon Jones?
Nah we just want the guy whose actually active whose actually defended the heavyweight title to have a chance at shedding his paper crown. It's Jones fanboys who don't want the fight to happen
How tom could win: 1. Stay away from kick range 2. Take damage and cross the void(if he refuses to keep pressure and take hits he will lose) 3. Don't get taken down 4. Check all kicks 5. Don't try to wrestle him 6. Don't give it a razor close fight or the judges will give jon the nudge
That long guard of Jon Jones is built for aspinall to spring out then back in and crack Jon with the 1, 2. Tom aspinall being the more athletic is universes faster than Jon.
Aspinall's style is fast and furious. If he wins, it's probably quick and a KO. The longer it goes the more it favors Jon. It's like Conor vs Aldo. People that said Conor would walk make it look easy were called Aldo haters. But if Conor was going to win, it probably was going to be quick which it was.
Jon loves to study fighters, i bet he probably needs more clips of aspinall to watch before he is really ready .. 2 minutes of fight time is just not enough.. lol
The fact we're likely never going to see Jon Jones v Aspinall, while over in the boxing world Usyk and Fury are getting ready for round 2 is peak comedy. Yet another W for boxing and L for MMA.
I'm curious to see how Jon looks at HW with his range management. You've got to remember that he was undertrained in his first Gus fight and was at the backend of his LHW career by the time he fought Reyes as he had 3 straight decisions. In Tom's last fight, Curtis was finding his range with his superior reach and almost clipped Tom in both of his fights. If Jones can keep his range using his reach and body kicks (like he did in the second Gus fight) while incorporating his clinch game/grappling, I could see him dragging Tom into deep waters where he's never been before, winning via round 3-4 Tko/sub. I'd still pick Aspinall as a betting man due to his speed and superior boxing, but I don't think it's an easy fight by any means for Tom, especially with Jon's fight IQ.
@@thanksmaybe4103 Huge height advantage for easy head kick, has to chase DC around the cage until he falls, gets overturned to a No-Contest anyway. Let's see that mma math working against Tom.
@Solznmid maybe slightly faster but power isn't close and tom is a monster grappler tom is a Swiss army knife in fighting just like prime jon or GSP can do everything very well this fight will never happen but right now I'm thinking tom will win in 2 rounds
So… here are some things about the possible fight. In terms of strength, I’d definitely give it to Jon, I wouldn’t be surprised if he was able to ragdoll Tom a lot more with his wrestling, and yes, there was Curtis, but Curtis doesn’t have the same fighting IQ Jon does. Boxing, Tom Aspinall all day, dude has gone rounds with Tyson Fury and it very clearly shows in his fights. In terms of chin, Jon takes it, he’s never been rocked ONCE in his whole career which is crazy to me, even going up against guys like Glover who were known for having power, he lost his balance against Reyes and not even Gus was able to rock him despite hitting him so much. Kickboxing, Jon Jones, but it might not actually make a difference, Tom fought Volkov who’s a very experienced kickboxer, and he trains with Rico Verhoeven too, so Jon’s kickboxing might not be a problem for Tom. And as for leg kicks, I recommend watching the Alan Baudot fight, every time Alan kicked Tom in the leg, Tom used an oblique kick to disrupt it. In terms of weaknesses, Jon has way more, like you mentioned if you’re able to swarm him, it’s gonna be hard for him, but one thing I NEVER see people mention is Tom’s all offense no defense, if Jon fights the smart fight, which he can, he could very well check hook and check kick Tom in the face all night when Tom blitzes into boxing range, but given Tom’s agility and movement, it would be very hard to do, but don’t count that out. Overall, my two cents on this fight, and yes, I do think Jon could be able to takedown Tom, Jon may not be explosive, but he’s as strong as an Ox, don’t overlook that. Also… don’t disrespect Stipe, he has a better chance at beating Jon than anyone else, he had the highest amount of TDD at heavyweight with a long pedigree in boxing.
@@Arkus123 No he wasn’t? He was off balanced, Jon accidentally leaned into a punch by Lyoto, it shifted Jon’s weight distribution, after they clinched Jon was completely fine, seriously, watch the fight again, he wasn’t stunned nor rocked, he just lost balance

Not really. The only fighter most people thought had a chance vs Jon was DC, and Jones got scared of DC and juiced so much he started eternally "pulsing". Then we had Gus 2, another opponent after their first fight some thought would be close, but again he was pulsing. Jon been a big fav in all his fights aside the DC fight for a reason. Vs Aspinall Jon is seen as the slight under dog. Extremely different.
Tom Aspinall is a cool guy and dude is humble. It's Tom's fans that are insufferable. We all want this fight, but people need to remember we don't always get what we want. Francis and Tom would've been a fun matchup too.
Everyones diehard fans are insufferable. Who do you think are more insufferable though? Yeah Aspinall cleans up Jon pretty fast if he don't get submitted Honestly, Jones kind of sucks. Not saying he isn't smart but if Khabib were in his weight class I have no doubt Khabib would beat him. Jones sucks in striking outside of elbows and kicks. @@Solznmid yeah he had great technique...but let's not forget how he was on roids...you're gonna be exceptionally strong and that with technique is a deadly combo. Jones having an 84" reach is just ridiculous. Average reach is around your height..4-5 inches over your height is really good. 7-8 inches over your height is just absurdly OP.
Pavlovich is even crazier. 6'3 With the same reach as Jon.
@@TheStraightestWhitest that almost sounds made up. It must be the width of his actual shoulders then. Im 5'10ish with a 74" reach and my reach is equal to my friends reach and he's 6'2 and weighs around 250lbs. In comparison to Pavlovich I'd have to have a reach of 79" to match his reach...
Which would mean my finger tips would hang past my kneecaps.
@@thediaz07 Matt Mitrone was also 6'3 and had an over 80 inch wing span (which is including chest).
@@FoxUnitNell Matt comes up as 6'3.5-6'4...with a wingspan of 79 inches...which is good but that's about 3-4 inches over his height...that's above average but not for a fighter/athlete...like I said I'm 70.5 inches tall with a wingspan of 74.25... so roughly 4 inches ..Jone is 76.5 inches tall with a wingspan of 84.5 inches... 8 inches over his height!!!!! And Pavlovich is 9 inches over his height! These are ungodly (or godly) reaches/ wingspans.
That's the thing with reach too, sometimes it can be a big disadvantage for the people with that reach more than people think, primarily against fighters who know how to abuse/exploit and counter the other person's reach.

I know nobody should rely on their chin, but getting past that kind of range means getting hit, so he should absolutely just look to make that trade since he'll be winning it every time due to having greater toughness and FAR greater power. Jon's push jabs will not be able to keep Tom at a distance if Tom just decides to pressure him and walk through them.

How tom could win:
1. Stay away from kick range
2. Take damage and cross the void(if he refuses to keep pressure and take hits he will lose)
3. Don't get taken down
4. Check all kicks
5. Don't try to wrestle him
6. Don't give it a razor close fight or the judges will give jon the nudge
That long guard of Jon Jones is built for aspinall to spring out then back in and crack Jon with the 1, 2. Tom aspinall being the more athletic is universes faster than Jon.
lol i thought we were gonna say:
“But that reach can be nullified, and when it does, that’s Jon Jones’ ass”
I'll come back to this video if the fight ever happens
I honestly think that this fight(if happens) will end in the first
I’ve got Tom Aspinell winning too. Made a video a couple days ago, should be out by Sunday
Take a shot every time he says "Jon" in this video
I think Tom wins but easily is wild. It’s mf Jon Jones
That jones vs Reyes decision still pisses me off, Reyes deserved that win for sure.
Jon loves to study fighters, i bet he probably needs more clips of aspinall to watch before he is really ready .. 2 minutes of fight time is just not enough.. lol

Great objective analysis, my man, you earned my respect, and my subscribe.
He’s fought already at heavyweight
And also knocked out DC who was a hw champ
@@thanksmaybe4103 Huge height advantage for easy head kick, has to chase DC around the cage until he falls, gets overturned to a No-Contest anyway.
Let's see that mma math working against Tom.
I would disagree just due to the amount of success reyes was having. If you rewatch tht fight, he was overwhelming jon pretty easily
@@kevinsmoon3257I think prime Reyes at 205 is faster than aspinal , less powerful but faster
That's not true Jon was rocked by Lyoto Machida

I think something a lot of people forget is that Aspinall's father was one of the first bjj black belts in the UK. He's going to be dangerous on the ground. We don't know what his wrestling is like, but his grappling is probably terrifying.
BRO UNCLE TOM CANNOT BEAT JON JONES...😢...
John also balloons in weight between fights, Tom doesn't, that adds years in itself
the recency bias and delusion is real in this video lmfao
Ong bro They acting like Jones isn’t levels above every dude Tom has faced
Accept the fight then 😅 nobody cares for old man stipe who got knocked out years ago
@@djhkfkbndj2836 what are you telling me for, im not jon jones? lmfao
@@clivebixby2219 fair enough haha
I was convinced Gane would easily handle Jon. I’m done betting against the true goat
28 Tried and 28 Failed ....When will you clowns Learn?! 😂😂😂
Don’t you mean 27?? 😉
He ain’t gonna accept the fight lol. You know this. It’s too risky for him.
@@DTS_I Aspinall ain't nothing Special... Typical Big Puncher with Occasional BJJ....He got the Same Style as like 17 of the guys Jones already beat ...Just stay out of Punching range, Keep the fight in Kicking range and Aspinall won't Touch him.
@@jordanschruder2260 Correct. Still double the guys Aspinall fought .. Jones has too much experience.
@@mxbblife_mu then he should have no problem stepping into the cage with Tom then
Awesome presentation and I agree with you 💯 Tom Aspinall wins and then the goat can go retire God I hope Jon doesn't retire before he fights Tom
I'm going to laugh so hard when Jon Jones beats Aspinall. You guys dont care about resumes at all
Yes we do care. Jon looked sloppy in the gane fight, reyes was robbed, he took anthony smith to 5 rounds, jon had to deploy his scummy tactics to beat thiago santos and gustafsson was not the same fighter by the time of their second fight despite jon looking impressive. Those were his last 5 fights/“wins” and they all have asterisks attached to them.
I don’t understand how you can support Jones and even hint at the idea he will beat Tom when he is blatantly ducking the interim champion and has zero intentions of ever fighting him. He knows exactly what storm is coming with Tom and will never fight him and will retire after that absolute bullshit fight w stipe
@@aos2308 the funny thing is you guys say this about all of Jones previous opponents 😂 it will end the same way like the others and then you'll all be silent
@@fixthesegames6303 bro the thing is it’s not gonna happen because jones will not fight this guy😭 it’s actually gonna be generational glaze if you jones fans think it’s any sort of leverage over Tom when he beats the human fossil stipe
@@aos2308 Everyone pretend like Jon didnt get a major injury that delayed his activity. Jon will come back and eat your boy and y'all will still complain 😂
Can’t wait to see if this fight actually happens. I can almost guarantee a lot hurt feelings afterwards
lol, this post made me unsubscribe. Just another casual who started watching mma in 2023 😂
Its the casuals who think Jones will win because everyone echoes the goat status he earned 5 years ago from doping
@@jc-vq1jl what has Jon jones done in his career for anyone to say that there’s a man alive who can beat him “easily” this is just a shit post all around
@@rondoxx2010 Gone the distance with some very average fighters, being almost 40, potentially having to fight the fastest KO artist in ufc history whose mentality is 100x more sound than his own
@@jc-vq1jl Tom Aspinall has 3 losses to Jon’s how many? In leagues that have fighters who couldn’t lift a finger towards journeyman ufc fighters. Let’s just put it like this. While Tom Aspinall was overseas getting submitted by D level fighters. Jon jones was running the game. And to this day he still is. You started watching mma in maybe 2022 kid 😂
@@rondoxx2010 You just looked up their records on wikipedia which is about the most casual thing you can do. Try watching their fights with your eyes, Jones has had plenty of boring and ropey ones. You lil arab you're still reeling off the anglo power
I really feel like this is a big ploy by the UFC to have the fight between Jones and Aspinal be huge
Jones would turn him into a training dummy
If it would be that easy, tell Jones to stop ducking already.
Tom is a big boy. Not a LHW.
HAS JOHNS EVER FOUGHT A HEAVY WEIGHT?
Aspinal been rocked multiple times
Shogun gave Jon a shot. He took a risk with his legacy by fighting him. He should do the same with Tom. Either smother his flame or pass the torch.
Lol the hate is real but we all know the certain fans that would like to see this happen 🥱👀 smh Jones will beat Stipe & Tom 🤦🏾♂️ give it up !!!!
What’s crazy is that Tom has stated “I’m only using about 10% of my skillset right now, I don’t wanna show to much to these heavyweights” if it were anyone else I would call bullshit… but I 100% believe him
😂😂😂
Technically not the longest reach in ufc history one guy had a 85 inch reach
