Greetings from an American expatriate in Taipei, Taiwan! This is just what the doctor ordered-I grew up with manual typewriters and carbon paper, so the tech end of teaching English as a Foreign Language or Spanish is still new to me. Great work and thank you!
You have some very interesting things in here I had not seen anyone address. I'm a bit older and there are always missing links that make me feel like I may not be able to do this. You answered a few questions I wanted answered, and I have things I'd like to teach, but I didn't grow up with computers, and so many talk over my head...you did a great job on this one.thank you.
I'm a science tutor for my school. I usually tutor in person, but due to this pandemic, schools are closed for the remainder of the year; thus, my job has been converted to virtual (as many other jobs). Thanks for sharing!! It was very helpful.
Thanks for your clear explanations. This can be a model for those who would like to make training videos. No background music, no fancy graphics - straight forward to the key functions with proper pace and spot on. Easy to follow. Great job.
Thank you so much. As a new Outschool teacher with limited tech experience this is really, really helpful. Your way of explaining is SO understandable. I've watched many other Zoom tutorials and they lose me when it comes to technology. This was great!
With the state of the world right now, your video came to me at the right time. I teach art and canceled studio art so I wanted to learn Zoom. Thank you for this lesson.
South Africa salutes you as we spreading your TH-cam channel link around to use these tools to continue teaching where we can ........I have literally set up my entire online virtual class online academy from your videos !!! watch before just checking I have mastered all the important concepts in your video!!!!!!
I'M A ELEMENTARY TEACHER 4 AND 5 GRADE SCIENCE AND MATH IN PR...... THIS IS SO SIMPLE TO UNDERSTAND!!!!! ALSO WATCHING IT ON MY BIC TV!!!!!! THANKU FOR THE TUTORIAL AWSOME!!!!!
We are just getting started with distance learning. Thank you so much for this tutorial. I have been practicing with Zoom on a Chromebook and now I have my school laptop and was shocked to see how different Zoom looks on a laptop.
Thanks for the great introduction. With Covid 19, our church cannot meet. I wanted to use Zoom to allow my Worship Team band and vocals to rehearse together and then record some songs of praise to share with the congregation. I will try to experiment with this today, and hope to use it to some extent tomorrow. Your advice would be gratefully appreciated!
More tech-tips and tutorials...I love it! This is so timely as many of us have been forced into distance learning. At this point I am not sure what I need, but as I experiment more I will be sure to keep you informed of my students' needs. Thanks again!
Thank you so much. I'm re-creating my work world and you answered so many questions I had even after weeks of YT videos. Thank you. Will look at your other videos.
Greetings from Morocco! I would like to extend my sincere gratitude for this valuable video. I have learned lots of interesting things from it which will, absolutely, help me with my online classes. Thank you for this easily understood lesson on beginning steps. I appreciate your calm and clear manner of speaking. Think I'm getting the hang of it now.
I have just heard of this Zoom site/program.I teach English in junior high school in Japan, so this is not of use for that, but it's a great, concise tutorial and should help me to do private classes if I can get my current private students to agree. I have not met them for over a month, and I am happy to wait for payment, so this may be just the ticket, thanks a lot. Now I am going to watch your Google Classroom vídeo (I am already a steady user of Google Docs for classroom materials, and there may be some link bewteen my Docs and my Google Class (if I use it) that I can make use of. Again, thanks.
Thank you so much Sir.....So very big help for me to teach my class online now.....still I need to master this......Highly appreciated and two thumbs up!!!
Thank you so much. I'm a beginner and I liked how you presented it. In the near future, I may need to prepare students for TOEFL as well. At present, I need to teach a couple of students conversation & reinforced grammar with a digitalized text. I will review the steps once more to make sure I learned them. I appreciate any additional tips you may want to recommend.
I am usually a first grade teacher at a school with real live students in front of me. Now that so many of us are teaching with distance learning, this was very helpful! I am going to try a few of these options, including the whiteboard. Not very tech savy but Zoom and this tutorial was very helpful. I recommend any elementary teacher try this now!
Thank you so much dear I learned a lot of things from you about Zoom I wanted to get some information from my friends but you solved my needy questions.thanks again
Thanx loads for this guidance. Though not everyone is familiar with working online, Covid and later times has forced many of us to look at possibilities and opportunities thereof. Your video here is certainly just the thing required at this moment and it gives us online newbees a lot of hope and courage besides the guidance on how to work online & to try our hands on online teaching, though am quite sure it is not as simple as it sounds. You have been very simple, clear and precise while showing how to go about using the zoom platform. highly appreciated. To achieve some kind of success one must first have or acquire some kind of tech knowledge, or be prepared to learn to work online. This video certainly shows how simple it is to start with it. Surely one must practice well before launching oneself online. Thanx again for yor very valuable tips.
Thank you for making this big and clear and for speaking clearly and slowly enough to be well understood. I wish you would do one of these using break out groups for when I advance.
Very helpful thank-you. I am studing to be a TESOL teacher and was wondering if I could use Zoom to run my first on-line lesson. Based on your video - the answer is yes!
Hi Jamie, thank you very, very much for this very helpful tutorial. This truly is really simple and easy to follow. I really struggled as a newbie and new comer to online teaching. So I am trying to break into the industry as an online teacher. If you have any schools that you can refer me to as a new person, I would be very grateful! Now I can also test properly with another lady that I was busy with. Really appreciate it.
Thanks very much. How do you zoom in on parts of the screen or move yourself from one part of the screen to another? Are you moving the camera? I want to use my phone as a document camera (second camera)
