    Great inspirations. Thanks for all your great videos on LightBurn. I switched from LaserGRBL to LightBurn with your help.
    Several years ago I had access to a CO2 laser in Huntsville AL at a Maker space. Last week I took delivery of a Ortur Laser 15w Diode device.
    I joined Make Nashville last month. I live halfway between Nashville TN & Huntsville AL. 50 miles to either.

    I like the way you slow things down so I can follow what you are teaching. Thanks I have been trying to take a square and just create a 45 degree angle across both of the top corners. Would like to see hopw you do this.

      when you have an object or line selected if you hold down the shift key and hit the period key it will rotate your selection in 45 degree increments. I use this feature all the time.

    You are an excellent teacher and I watch your Lightburn tutorials in preference to all others as you present the information in a way that is easy for beginners, such as myself, to follow. That makes a big difference when it comes to reducing user frustration and increasing knowledge and confidence. Your step-by-step approach is engaging and enjoyable and I have learnt more from you than any other tuition provider. You clearly appreciate that we all have to start from the beginning and aren't 'pre-programmed' with knowledge! Thank-you for the time and effort you put into your presentations - I genuinely appreciate it.
    One question...when you sized the polygon to 2" using the width and height facility in the top toolbar, it showed 2 x 2" as expected. But when you went into the shape properties, it showed the width as 2" but the height as 2.309" whilst still showing 2 x 2" in the toolbar. Why is that?

    I followed each step as presented. When I got to preview it was a big black blob. I read the comment and reply on this previously posted and you mentioned that must have overlapping lines. Not sure what this means or how to get it, as the design on the screen show lines overlapping, but in the preview they do not. I have fill set. Using 1.0.04

    • @computercreationz
      @computercreationz  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      try something much simpler to start off with. you have to have one shape cross over another duplicated shape to get the difference in white and black. it can be tricky sometimes

    QUESTION! I have a map and want to shade only an island on it. How do I combine specific lines to be able to group them together so I can use the fill setting? PLEASE HELP thank you so much :)

    • @computercreationz
      @computercreationz  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      if I understand your question correctly, you want to engrave the island(shade) on your map. draw the outline of the island with your pencil tool, then using node editing modify the shape so it fits the contour of the island, make separate layer and set to fill. adjust power lever in that layer to desired look. hope that helps
