I’m so happy for you bro and you got an absolute beauty. I completely agree, best way to display is lying down 😅 I don’t trust it standing up. Can’t wait see more of it 😎 Welcome to the V2 club 😂 amazing video!
Thanks so much man, it’s a beauty for sure aha, only thing that lets it down for me is the knurling but other than that I’m really pleased with it! Yeah I was thinking of displaying it standing up but it’s just a tad wibbly wobbly, so laying it down is definitely better for me ahah 😉 Thanks again for watching man!
Honestly man I’m not much of a flicker aha, but the flick on this is a massive improvement over the flick on the Rubbertoe 11th/12th, 1st Edition. Between this and CT though I’m not too sure, both are great! I’ll probably do a comparison video of them all at some point!
I’ve got them both. The V2 and the CT and the CT is miles ahead. The V2 is way prettier and nicer to look at but the CT flick is just much much better. The V2 is too top heavy which makes the flick harder. Plus the mechanism doesn’t feel as strong
@@rytamsinha7132 thank you! you swooped in just in time i bought an upgraded CT from a guy about a week ago it comes in just a few hours! glad i got it
I've noticed on this batch that the knurling is a bit messy and inconsistent which is a shame. Knurling on early CT's were perfect. Looks great though otherwise!
Seem like the next batch will be even worse . The machine who made the patern should be replaced . It look nothing like the prototype shown and their web site .
I got mine recently, the knurling looks great on it! But... the resin parts seem like a distinct step down - lots of bubbles and surface defects in the emitter, while the inner core parts don't appear to have been polished. :
The Tenth is that loud because the chamber that holds the electronics and the speaker is made from 3d printed plastic resin and when the Sonic Screwdriver is in extended position the speaker holes line up with the slider gap so the sound has lots of room to escape. With this Eleventh Doctors version the bottom is made up of metal, resin and leather but there no gaps so there isn’t a lot of room for the sound to escape.
They had another 50 available at the end of last month but they seem to have sold out already. If they get enough interest again they might do another 50 at some point though. Best bet would be to email them and let them know your interested or just keep checking on eBay, one will pop up eventually 😉
They probably will be in the future, if they get enough interest they might do another batch of 50. Best bet would be to email them and let them know your interested or follow Rubbertoeprops on Instagram for updates.🤘
Originally the activation button was the red button on the bottom. But Matt Smith wanted to hold it differently so he asked them to add the button onto the leather section 😎 m.th-cam.com/video/-fNJhLe8C_o/w-d-xo.html
It's so dumb that They made the button on the bottom work on the toy ones from hot topic but the $1000 real prop replica has a fake red button plus a spring loaded activation button... *facepalm* if I ever buy this I'm taking it apart and Frankensteining the two together and making it actually nice
I just ordered one with the recent announcement of the last 50 preorders. Can't wait!

Nice man! Should have mine waiting for me when I get home!🤞 Great video as usual!
Thanks dude! Congrats on getting one too!! 😁
U should do the 11th doctor sonic screwdriver collection
How much have the flicks improved recently. Is it comparable to the CT flick yet

@@seansolo5318 Nice, what kind of upgrades? Like is the LED green now? That’s a change I’ve been thinking of making with mien
@@rytamsinha7132 yes, green LED new cores and emitter lense
Mine came yesterday and i cannot stop touching it 😂 i dont want to, but everytime i put it safely back.... i'm like no i need to take it out again

Yes for the price it should be perfect

@@Pierre578 Yes I noticed that today. I'm not sure why Nick hasn't gone back to the old knurling as it makes such a big difference

Holy, how long did it take for this thing to ship!?
I pre-ordered it July 26th 2021 and it arrived July 27th 2022 so one year!
@@SameSonicDifferentCase Wow, well at least you have it now. It really is an amazing sonic. Thanks for replying back!
Is your sonic quiet? Just got mine and thought it'd be louder like the 10th sonic

When I will get mine I will use a metal protectant so it won’t’ oxyde and don’t’ need to worry about polish
do you know if i can’t still order one?

The final batch went up for order today!
The only con (in my opinion) is that the button is so exposed
