What would he have done had he run into someone else with an empty gun. The boys made him kill them but the woman was unarmed he needed his bullets for armed men.
People look at this film as if it was Jewish propaganda, but i think its a bit more than that. Its about survival from an advanced power. In this scene here it even shows that when a person is pushed far enough, he will become the monster that he hated.
I have not watch this movie yet but this is some heavy clips, its like an old saying" Every time you pull the triggered you lost some part of yourself".
First time I watched this I was surprised he didn’t kill the mother as well despite it being a murder it seemed more human to have shown her mercy to prevent her inevitable suffering there and then. Then again this is the purest form of revenge.
Had he killed her what would he do with an enpty gun? The boys should have had the sense to stay seated and give chase afterward becayse i doubt Tuvia would have shot them in cold blood but he should have because if he doesnt he will have two men armed on his trail as he tries to escape. He didnt shoot her she wasnt armed and he mightve needed that last bullet for himself or be captured tortured and killed.
Did you even bother to watch the movie? Did you see where the policemen and his sons were joking about murdering Jewish people? They murdered this man's family, you can call what happened vengeful, and cruel as you did, but it was not murder it was more like justice for all the innocent people this man murdered, and his sons had murdered. I agree for the woman to see her husband and sons killed was tragic and awful, but at the same time she knew what her husband was doing so she had to know that could have happened at some point.
@@annhancock3584 exactly...in fact they should show that scene right before to add perspective. They were sadistic pieces of shit who slaughtered innocent families for the fun of it and got paid for it as a bonus....the mother helped raise two monsters who are just like their dad...no sympathy whatsoever
Whatever nationality, a good Nazi is a dead one. Revenge is sweet seeing any Nazi got shot. Or maybe i drunk too much Petrenko, Reznov, Zaytsev, or Buelski.
@@annhancock3584 Welcome to the internet where people can take things out of context and conveniently project whatever they feel onto a scene from a movie. It highlights the root of many social problems in this day and age.
It's boring, badly directed, Daniel Craig is totally miscast in it, and it doesn't really portray the hardships they had to go through, the battle scenes are very unrealistic, even this scene is unrealistic. He wouldn't have shot all those people like that, in front of the mother, and he didn't, if you read his life story. You also don't empathise with any of the characters. There's another scene where he just shoots someone dead for daring to challenge his leadership. That's B.S. Terrible Hollywood tripe.
so your telling me if you where in the situation and someone challenges your authority for a group you start and ran and was only letting the fighters have most of the food and what do you mean this scene is unrealistic would you not do that if you were mad as hell at a guy who just killed both your parents and some of your family friends ?
First time I watched this I was surprised he didn’t kill the mother as well despite it being a murder it seemed more human to have shown her mercy to prevent her inevitable suffering there and then. Then again this is the purest form of revenge.
He had one bullet left. So he could have killed her. This wasn’t mercy for her, this was the purest form of revenge
What would he have done had he run into someone else with an empty gun. The boys made him kill them but the woman was unarmed he needed his bullets for armed men.
Probably the most underrated WW2 movie of all time.
Agreed

Absolutely great cast true story although the final battle did not happen in real life. Still make me cry how cruel the world can be

The Batman 2022: I'm Vengeance.
Sometimes they're the same.
Wow the pain watching all her family die in front of her.....what a beauty scene
I could feel the pain and anger in this scene
I love this scene so much, Daniel Craig is a great actor, and really shows the humanity behind vengeance
I also ADORE the score to this as well
I have not watch this movie yet but this is some heavy clips, its like an old saying" Every time you pull the triggered you lost some part of yourself".
this is my least favourite scene, my favourite is the scene where he kills the traitor who tries to take over
Yes trying to hit on the wife of his brother, satisfying he dead
This scene is still necessary. It shows the cost of revenge the man who killed your family is someone's husband
"How was that?"
"what you mean?"
"killing them... how was that? nice?"
"shut up..."
I found this movie @ Walmart inside the $7.88 pile of movies and to my surprise is a very good movie;Daniel Graig is superb!

This scene was too intense for me the first time i saw it.
Powerful stuff. Quite disturbing too.
I almost lost it on that one. Wow!
reading some of the vengeful comments on here makes it obvious that the meaning of this scene is lost on alot of people, lol.
quantum of solace, WWII eastern front style

I feel bad for the mother. She didn't do anything. It would have been wrong to kill her. After all, that would not be justice but revenge.

Leaving the mother alive? Or did he kill her off screen?
Cruel as hell to leave her alive with her whole family murdered.
