- A North Las Vegas woman faces murder and attempted murder charges after she allegedly shot at her neighbors, killing a pastor and injuring another person after they reported her to the homeowner's association, according to an arrest report.

The family needs to sue the HOA for telling the killer they had complained.

This seems to be how our cops operate now - Las Vegas cops won't do anything about anything unless there's a dead body. They do not investigate crime that doesn't have an injury involved.

Police usually wait until something happens and then come around and take a report and "investigate". They get so many calls about bad neighbors and threats they get complacent and don't take them seriously. I sold a house and moved due to a neighbor like her. He was threatening and harassing and I knew something bad was going to happen, so I put the house on the market and left the state while it sold. It sucked, especially because I purchased the house in cash and had no mortgage, but it's better than ending up in jail or killed by a crazy arse neighbor.
America has a high tolerance for crime.

I understand your sentiment. I have heard horror stories about HOAs. But they are not all bad. My HOA is great and actually saves me money. The HOA buys a master insurance policy every year that covers everyone’s homes and they only charge $150 month. That $150 also includes landscaping and all exterior maintenance, including exterior washing, exterior painting, replacing the roof when needed, etc. I could never get all of that for only $150 month if I bought everything on my own. The insurance alone would be over $150 a month if I bought it myself.
With this woman's history, why was she allowed to own a gun? When someone threatens someone, there needs to be a law that allows a search warrant on the residence to make sure that person does not have a gun, and also be put on the don't buy gun list. You can't trust a person like this words, as people lie.

It started with a violation report to the HOA, escalated to harassment and threats, and ended in homicide. I live in the same neighborhood as her for 20 years when she first came around she was nice and sweet. Not to justify her actions but people made fun of her,she got beaten and robbed, and had a man she loved that left her that's when she got super aggressive. They had conflict and the pastor was doing all he could with the HOA to mess with her, not avoiding conflict. She went crazy and now a father is gone, a mothers been shot and their 2 children had to witness the whole thing, it's a tragic nightmare situation.

When I was a delivery person, a Korean woman came into the Triad center in Salt Lake City Utah, I had just barely left after doing my deliveries when she entered and got into the elevator and started shooting at the KSL news place shot through the floor killing a pregnant lady and injuring many. This was over twenty years ago or more, and America had gotten way worse with mass shootings.
As I was taught when I was a child: Assault is a threat (finger pointing as if pointing a gun; or the throat slitting gesture). Battery was physically striking someone; and you would e arrested and charged for either or both. sigh Not anymore.
Why blame the system when that's what you people wanted. Based on what you were taught, that would mean a lot of white people would be arrested and you wouldn't want that. Shame on you.

While the facts are unclear from this video, when your neighbor wants to shoot you, there's a problem. I'm 67, and this kind of thing just didn't happen when I was a kid, so obviously there's something new in the mix. Are people really going mentally ill at an alarming rate these days, and if so, why?
