    That was such an excellent, beautiful video explaining adrenal hormones. I really feel I've grasped this topic thanks to your help, and I look forward to seeing some questions about the adrenal hormones on my next exam now, whereas before I was apprehensive. Thank you for the clarity and for all of the time you spent on this video. Cheers!

      Cortisol increase glycogen stores in liver, not breakdown

    • @hasan_xbrex
      @hasan_xbrex ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You both are wrong, cortisol activate the process of conversion the glucose into glycogen ( this is the direct effect) , otherwise “the indirect effect” it stimulates the release of epinephrine then the epinephrine activate the liver to breakdown glycogen into glucose, i know it’s paradoxical, but you can read more about this to understand why this happens.

    • @anomalyp8584

      In the early stage of fasting first glygogenolysis is promoted, in later stages also the glycogenesis is more activated. Just remember that Cortisol is all about glucose circulation in the liver. So promoting its uptake by the liver (and stored as glycogen) and releasing it in the blood as well

    • @anomalyp8584

    Hey , you explained very well . I just want to say there is some correction needed where you say that ACTH stimulates aldosterone release. But the regulation of aldosterone is mostly related to angiotensin and potassium ion conc. in ECF. ACTH affects directly to zona fasciculata to release cortisol by increasing cAMP activity.

    panic attack disorder.......How about a sudden jolt of anger My heart rate stays about the same but I noticed my lower back starts to hurt and it’s almost like with every beat my lower back pain pulses ,And goes away within 10 seconds Only happens with extreme anger or adrenaline rush I’ve had panic disorder most of my life.... Currently not taking any medication of any kind... Sometimes worse than other times but Depends on my level of anger usually extreme anger or extreme adrenaline it comes out ,,, like racing at high-speed down the highway Or getting cut off by somebody and getting extremelyv angry, Or cashier that’s extremely rude to you, This just happened today for about five seconds I felt lower back pain but pulses then Stops after a little while ...Mind you I sleep sitting up ,,,I sleep in my car,,Could be just back related and it’s pinching a nerve or something

    • @kingcarlos4348
      @kingcarlos4348 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well. Adrenal glands sit on top of your kidneys. So the back pain can be attributed to your kidneys. And I also the anger moments. That is your adrenal glands maybe attribute to weak adrenal glands. Cheers mate
