It's not just about Ekko leaving behind a timeline that was an objectively happier future, the theme of that episode was about letting go of the past and learning to forgive past transgressions. It's also not an accident that Jinx has the same hairstyle as her other self when Ekko meets her again and convinces her not to take her life. It's symbolic. Both versions of Jinx are taught by Ekko that the past does not need to dictate their future, but in order for that to be the case they need to be willing to let go of it. Episode 8 is called "Violence is a Cycle", where Jinx realizes that in order to escape her repeating patterns of self destruction she needs to learn to step away from it and that's the choice she makes. She tries to kill herself at first because she thinks that in order to break the cycle, she has to end her story, because she doesn't think she can take her future in a direction that doesn't lead her right back to making the same mistakes she made in the past. Ekko teaches her that she CAN in fact change, and I think Ekko succeeds here because unlike Silco and Vi, Ekko has known her pretty much her whole life and isn't telling Jinx she is perfect the way she is, and or trying to convince her that Jinx never changed in the first place, Ekko knows her past and her present but in spite of that ALL THAT still BELIEVES who she is today has the capacity to become someone better, and for the first time in her life Jinx is in a mental state where she is willing to try and take that "leap forward". That's why I think Jinx is alive but doesn't tell anyone, she is ending the cycle, she is leaving the past behind. She has died again, she is giving Vi a clean slate, in the same way she is giving herself a clean slate by leaving Piltover.

Well, now the CaitVi couple is official canon, and I congratulate everyone on that! This scene means even more to me than the 18+ scene in the cell, here it shows that they now live together and care about each other!
If I've learnt anything from watching shows and reading comics is that if I don't see a body, that character isn't dead. So in my brain Jinx escaped through the air ducts and is riding that ship to her happily ever after just like she said in season 1.

Think about it: from day one, Cait always called her Vi, even in situations where the full name would have been more appropriate, like when Cait introduced Vi to her parents or the council, or even to Ambessa in their betrayal scene. Even Maddie only knew her as Vi when she first found her and formally introduced herself. So Cait probably never knew Vi was short for Violet. Maybe because Vi is guarded about her full name. It's what her family called her, in a time when life was still beautiful, so she probably keeps her name close to her heart.
Yeahhhh! Someone pointed out on BlueSky that there's a reason why Cait is looking at the vent blueprints for the Hexgates while holding the monkey's head. My guess is they never found her body, and Cait being the amazing detective she is, has reason to believe she made it out alive. Plus, there's a scene with the crow finding the gemstone so maybe she was able to use it to protect herself from the blast somehow.
And she also mourned her old self by putting a paper in the bowl on the bridge. 🥺 You might ask how am I sure about it, but in ep. 7, when she opens the the drawer under Vi's altar, there are more hextech balls. I think she or Ekko built another dimension gate with the balls. I am not that good in location, but maybe at the bottom of this tunnel was the place where they built it in the other dimension and it's just speculation but the gate might have opened when Jinx and Warwick landed after activating the monkey bomb so they switched dimensions. The other thing that could justify this is that there is a mini game apart from the series where Ekko can move back and forth in the future, it also foreshadowed the fans of Jinx when everyone dyed their hair blue. But it still confuses me then what happened to Jayce.. I mean didn't he search for the balls?
I truly like this final scene which is also really symbolic bc it might be the first time for Vi taking off her arm wrap and Cait finally having her personal cloth (Cait always wears uniform or what people have she wear since S1). I think it's quite precious that means they eventually can be "settled down" on each other, relieved, putting down their burden. Anyways, the show is absolutty my fav one in my entire life!
If you look closely at the explosion inside the hexgate tower, you'll notice a purple flash zipping into what is revealed to be the vents. Safe to say that Jinx zipped away as the grenade went off.
I actually had more anxiety about going into Act 3 for nothing more than what happened between Cait and Vi. Seeing the end of Episode 3, and then the whole Maddie issue at the start of Episode 4 affected me WAY more than I ever imagined it could. I literally spent a WEEK obsessing over it!!! Thank god for Episode 8, and knowing that they made it together!!!!!!!

Before the explosion goes out in ep 9 (where jinx is falling with warwick) , you can see for a split moment pink lightning, while the other lightnings of the bomb are blue, which means that she probably ran fast (cause of shimmer) and survived. We've seen multiple times, how her eyes leave a light trail when she speeds up with power of shimmer. I hope she gets to explore entire world with her mighty new ride.

All scenes have a purpose in this show.

I think Jinx's alive 100%. It's like Schrodinger's cat. The creaters wanted us to experience an epic heartbreaking moment but they left little hints of her survival like that pink flash. So they could hook us for the future projects about the most popular character.

Have you noticed that in the alternative universe Powder/Jinx is happy, but without Vi. In canon Vi, she lived happily with Caitlyn, but without Jinx. It turns out that sisters can only be happy apart...

With Arcane said in done, I will say while the show may not be canon, I feel details in the show are canon with the main universe that we’ve only speculated only speculated on for years. And that’s okay. Arcane should be seen as the jump on point for those interested in the complexities of Runeterra, and perhaps an exit point if they don’t want to wait for more shows.

There's no question they're hinting at Jinx/Powder escaping the blast, with Caitlyn looking at the service tunnels off the main one and with the airship at the end after Powder says she would ride one of them one day and the Jinx text saying The end. Also, why would they kill her off if she's one of the game's main characters?
Even though you don’t see who’s piloting it we all know it’s Jinx on that airship. Takes us back to episode one where she said she was gonna ride one, one day. Plus the vents in the Hex Gate tower and the pink streak shimmer before the explosion give you the hint. Subtle details were just everywhere in Arcane and Act 2 really made you pay attention. Like when they were in the chamber where the Arcane was it was clearly cold in the there and you could see their breath but when councilman Salo was in there he had no breath at all. Man what series! Blu-ray will be acquired.

If I've learnt anything from watching shows and reading comics is that if I don't see a body, that character isn't dead. So in my brain Jinx escaped through the air ducts and is riding that ship to her happily ever after just like she said in season 1.

Think about it: from day one, Cait always called her Vi, even in situations where the full name would have been more appropriate, like when Cait introduced Vi to her parents or the council, or even to Ambessa in their betrayal scene. Even Maddie only knew her as Vi when she first found her and formally introduced herself. So Cait probably never knew Vi was short for Violet. Maybe because Vi is guarded about her full name. It's what her family called her, in a time when life was still beautiful, so she probably keeps her name close to her heart.

Yeahhhh! Someone pointed out on BlueSky that there's a reason why Cait is looking at the vent blueprints for the Hexgates while holding the monkey's head. My guess is they never found her body, and Cait being the amazing detective she is, has reason to believe she made it out alive. Plus, there's a scene with the crow finding the gemstone so maybe she was able to use it to protect herself from the blast somehow.

At the first season she said one day, i'm going to ride in one of those things, and at the end of the season 2, she Actually did ride it 🥹
And she also mourned her old self by putting a paper in the bowl on the bridge. 🥺 You might ask how am I sure about it, but in ep. 7, when she opens the the drawer under Vi's altar, there are more hextech balls. I think she or Ekko built another dimension gate with the balls. I am not that good in location, but maybe at the bottom of this tunnel was the place where they built it in the other dimension and it's just speculation but the gate might have opened when Jinx and Warwick landed after activating the monkey bomb so they switched dimensions. The other thing that could justify this is that there is a mini game apart from the series where Ekko can move back and forth in the future, it also foreshadowed the fans of Jinx when everyone dyed their hair blue. But it still confuses me then what happened to Jayce.. I mean didn't he search for the balls?
I truly like this final scene which is also really symbolic bc it might be the first time for Vi taking off her arm wrap and Cait finally having her personal cloth (Cait always wears uniform or what people have she wear since S1).
I think it's quite precious that means they eventually can be "settled down" on each other, relieved, putting down their burden. Anyways, the show is absolutty my fav one in my entire life!
If you look closely at the explosion inside the hexgate tower, you'll notice a purple flash zipping into what is revealed to be the vents.
Safe to say that Jinx zipped away as the grenade went off.

I actually had more anxiety about going into Act 3 for nothing more than what happened between Cait and Vi. Seeing the end of Episode 3, and then the whole Maddie issue at the start of Episode 4 affected me WAY more than I ever imagined it could. I literally spent a WEEK obsessing over it!!!

Before the explosion goes out in ep 9 (where jinx is falling with warwick) , you can see for a split moment pink lightning, while the other lightnings of the bomb are blue, which means that she probably ran fast (cause of shimmer) and survived. Otherwise why is cait looking at vents in the hexgates?

We've seen multiple times, how her eyes leave a light trail when she speeds up with power of shimmer. I hope she gets to explore entire world with her mighty new ride.

Too many hints that Jinx is alive, just walked away
Jinx, you really are one persistent girl. I'm glad that she survived that explosion, but you know what, she deserves this. It is better for everyone to believe that she is gone and she can start a new life.

@@thatoneguy6315 I agree, also watching a watch show with Amanda Overton (Co-director) and she was answering Q&A questions, one of them asked if these characters would make a showing in any other shows they're gonna do and she said she couldn't share that information but Katy Townsend (Maddie Voice actor) said she knew that answer to that question as she heard people talking about it during the after party of the live premiere of the finale. She was smiling while saying that... so that gives a pretty big hint we might see these characters again.

Cait is looking at the schematics of the gate while playing with Jinx’s bomb because she knows she escaped and wants to understand how. Jinx is probably in the airship that flies away at the end, because in season 1, she said that she wanted to fly in one. The flash of Jinx’s drawing adds to that. All scenes have a purpose in this show.

Well atleast it ended on neutral...it doesn't end good or bad. 10/10 ending...it foreshadows that there might be another series that is slightly connected on Arcane (Maybe a cameo of Jinx? We may never know).

I think Jinx's alive 100%. It's like Schrodinger's cat. The creaters wanted us to experience an epic heartbreaking moment but they left little hints of her survival like that pink flash. So they could hook us for the future projects about the most popular character.

They said Arcane's story has ended but League of Legends has many storylines, they will surely adapt another and Jinx will be back. disgraceful cope, but in the end caitlyn smiles looking at what i think is the hex core ventilation ducts at the bottom, hinting that it was a way out that jinx could have taken. we then end the entire show with a shot of an airship flying away, which jinx started the show saying she would ride some day. and cherry on top, we get the few frames of the jinx style 'the end' meaning it is the end to her story. This is either hinting that she is alive and it is the end of her story in arcane, seeing as there will presumably be more stories or simply showing that she is gone and it is the end of her story nostalgically showing us her final wish of sorts. I am gunning for the former but leaving it with that semi cliff hanger is disgusting from fortiche

Caitlyn was inspecting the Ventilation system of the Hexgates hinting at the fact that Jinx may have survived the fall and used it as a cover to make everyone believe she is dead so that her sister can move on from her. and the Zepplin/blimp at the end could be what Jinx is flying/driving away on she did say in the first episode that "One day she was going to fly one of those things"
jinx escaped the explosion, she's on the blimp leaving piltover and zaun. that's what it means.
"The Fight" is hinting at Noxus not been done with Fighting Piltover i don't think Swain would be very happy at Noxus been humiliated like this
Have you noticed that in the alternative universe Powder/Jinx is happy, but without Vi. In canon Vi, she lived happily with Caitlyn, but without Jinx. It turns out that sisters can only be happy apart...

At the very start they were in talks about 5 seasons of shows, Arcane with Zaun/Piltover was always a 2 season show and their next show will be on a different city. I have the feeling Jinx is still alive, I mean they didn't make that scene with Caitlyn holding jinx's monkey while investigating the strucure of the building where she "exploded", and the scene with the ship for nothing. Maybe that's their way to implie that she's still alive but is leaving Piltover on that ship and ending the cycle.

With Arcane said in done, I will say while the show may not be canon, I feel details in the show are canon with the main universe that we’ve only speculated only speculated on for years.
And that’s okay. Arcane should be seen as the jump on point for those interested in the complexities of Runeterra, and perhaps an exit point if they don’t want to wait for more shows.

There's no question they're hinting at Jinx/Powder escaping the blast, with Caitlyn looking at the service tunnels off the main one and with the airship at the end after Powder says she would ride one of them one day and the Jinx text saying The end. Also, why would they kill her off if she's one of the game's main characters?

Even though you don’t see who’s piloting it we all know it’s Jinx on that airship. Takes us back to episode one where she said she was gonna ride one, one day. Plus the vents in the Hex Gate tower and the pink streak shimmer before the explosion give you the hint. Subtle details were just everywhere in Arcane and Act 2 really made you pay attention. Like when they were in the chamber where the Arcane was it was clearly cold in the there and you could see their breath but when councilman Salo was in there he had no breath at all.
