- Hello and welcome to this video on earthing arrangements by Adrian Davey from Pure Electrical training.
In this video, I help you identify the three main earthing arrangements in the UK, and the types of cable used to supply them.
I then go on to discuss how you select the correct size earthing conductor and which regulations apply, as well as a handy table to save you from having to calculate the size using the adiabatic equation.
This video counts as CPD and off-the-job training.
As always, please like, share, and subscribe so that everyone can benefit from the information contained within.
Take care

Nice and informative. Keep it going Adrian.
Thank you for the feedback Sergio 🙏
Excellent video.
Great work - Clean and concise.
Thank you 🤗
This is just what I needed. Keep on making more please
Thank you, you are very welcome 🙏
Brilliant fair play.. sterling work.. 👌Thanks man 👍
You are more than welcome 🤗
Great for a little revision, thank you
Thank you 👌
Great Video. Thank you 👍🏻
You are very welcome 🤝
Hi Adrian. Can you make a video showing the different formulas for bending containment at different angles using different size containment i.e metal tray and also mark back measurements for bending conduit at 20 and 25mm tube. I
It’s on my list to do, but it’s way down the list
@@Pure_electrical_training as long as its on ur list im happy and thanks for your great work
Great Video,
If you can make a video filling NET electrical installation certificate (EIC) for AM2
Thank You
Thanks for your video. I love to pick up new bits of info each day.
But ... At 7.35 you seem to be implying that on a TT supply, an RCD is required IF the Ze is >200 ohms. Max Disconnection time for circuits
Thank you for the feedback 🙏
Apologies, I didn’t mean to imply that, which is why I spoke through the RCD tables, Zs and relationship to ohm’s law
Sorry - correction to disconnection time in my comment above. Just realised I stuck an extra 0 in. Should of course be 0.2 secs not 0.02.
Goodwork
Thank you 🙏
hello adrian would i be able to get copy of this so i can print for personal use? i have to say this is one of best video on earth arrangments, amazing work
Thank you so much 🤗
What did you want a copy of, could you screen shot the bits you want?
@@Pure_electrical_training all of it...
Should have showed a 100A double pole isolator switch before tails went into the consumer unit in your diagrams it's the best practice so it's the wrong diagrams for the learners
