You mean using lures or rock fishing in general? If lures, then yes completely normal. Sometimes I cast for hours and hours without a hit hahaha! The beauty of fishing... but worth every cast when you do get that bite. Longest probably 6 hours. Hence why fishing sunrise or sunset is preferable as the fish seem to be on the bite during those times.

A little smelly when caught, but cooked it heavy on the marinade so it was pretty decent. Cant say how it'll taste without anything added 😂
