Two reasons for picturing Andrew is
a) we already know how Marques looks like so we automatically picture the podcast
b) he reacts to new phones and tech regularly and we just visualise it when we hear it.
This channel is so underrated dude, Ive been hearing the podcast for a while, this is maybe even better
They made this channel very recently..its not underrated, its gonna blow-up with time.

Episode 2 of Andrew making dad jokes, and then realizing it’s on video for everyone to see. Speaking as someone with social anxiety, I give a ton of respect for anyone who can go on camera and talk for an hour.
yes exactly. anyone, including me, would feel nervous to show their face after having for months only spoken through a podcast format. I bet he was nervous thinking about how people would judge him in the comments. So Andrew, if ur reading this, just know that u r doing a great job as co-host and u look great too!

I imagined Andrew like a tall skinny black haired dude, like a longer Austin, with darker hair. But I‘m very happy that we can finally see him (/you Andrew if you see this keep up the good work, the podcast wouldn’t be as Good as it is without you, I‘ve seen some nasty comments, don’t take them to heart).
Andrew does a decent job as a co-host, however to say that without him the podcast would not be that good is absolutely not true. Marques knows how to captivate an audience just by himself, and he’s been doing it for over a decade now. What Marques is doing now is great, he’s giving people like Andrew an opportunity to shine under his light/guidance. Let’s not foul ourselves, Marques is One of the Best of the Best !
@@ALCAPONE5655 Yes, agree but I meant the type of the podcast, the discussions. We wouldn’t have discussions without Andrew. Late 2019/early 2020 MKBHD uploaded a podcast without Andrew, it just felt weird.
@@theopopovici7377 Honestly, I have really enjoyed having Andrew give an opposing viewpoint at times and just in general contributing to the discussion by having a different background (eg. outdoorsy, gamer). I've been listening to Waveform from the start, and he adds a lot in my opinion. Podcasts to me are supposed to be with more than one person.

Honestly just having the podcast on TH-cam is great. I didn’t listen to a single episode (even though I knew about it) until it was here. Just didn’t like going to those other platforms. As far as the video quality: like MKB said, it’s more of a passive experience with some glancing every once in a while. Great stuff!
The podcast is usually the first thing I listen in the morning. Now I have to wait for the video to be up

I love the subtitle comments, the image references and all. I remember listening to it on Spotify, I used to pause it to google things to see how they looked.
I would love to see your talking head video along with the references. Like in this while showing the EVs the whole animations covered the whole screen. Maybe put your video at the corner or something.

@23:15 it's still there in the settings where you can choose any of those options by default, expect the specific resolution for obvious reasons.
I've been using the Jaybird Vistas for 2 years now and I love them for exactly the reason(s) Andrew mentioned!

23:11 video quality preference is present in the settings actually. It can be defaulted and is handy for capped network.
It doesn't let you select a preferred resolution
You just keep inspiring me to up my podcast set up!
You guys are spoiling us with the 4k video on this. You can film in 1080p for podcasts, the visuals aren't the main point anyway
Till the time I didn't see the video WAVEFORM podcast, I imagined Marques and Andrew sitting in a huge "all-glass" building or room with a lot of sunlight and nice paintings and everything in that room would be supa cool!

Andrew feels very strongly about the "wrong" earbud designs. Loved that rant very much
I think another change they made to the Video Quality is that before, the top option was 144p & increased as you go down. Now when you click Advanced, it starts at 1080p (or whatever the highest resolution is for you) & decreases to 144p.
Center the wall pattern, raise the camera but tilt it down to maintain eye level, give Fabio a long hair wig for the next episode, and consider this podcast golden.
You guys are awesome, Subaru was once majority owned by GM and even sold Subaru cars under the Chevrolet brand( like the Chevrolet Forester in india) that wa up to 05-06. Now Toyota is the biggest shareholder in Subaru

Also, yes....charging every night. So convenient vs filling up 2-3 times when commuting and if driving all over for work/construction, there is always temp power with 240 connections so just charge when u get there

Love the podcast, but to clarify, 30 minute commute in a truck does not equate to filling up 3 times a week. I work almost 400 miles away from home, and I fill up three times when I go home. That gets me home, around town back to where I stay, and to and from work all week (20 minute commute). Think of it like your fuel range is the same as a car (sometimes better) but it cost more to fill up. Right now about $55-60 to fill up if you are under a quarter tank.
Andrew sounds like Malcom Gladwell but looks like Pete Holmes. Both compliments. Loving the Video Pod!

To Andrew's point, on the TH-cam app on my iPhone, there is an option in Settings of the app for vid quality preferences when on WiFi and mobile networks.

THANK YOU for mentioning the terrible TH-cam resolution selection. I went into my settings to make the default "higher quality", but I've found it to be hit or miss. Sometimes I have to rewind once for it to go to the higher resolution, and then it might do 1080p or 720p but not 1440p on videos that have it. I'm on a gigabit up and down connection and Auto still tends to cap out at 720p lol. Rant appreciated. I see them rolling back on this.
EDIT: 23:05 - It is in the TH-cam app settings. You can select the default option but it's from these new options, not a specific resolution.
The Ford lightning is actually a really cool small fast pickup truck made by the Svt team at Ford. One of the coolest cars ever in my opinion.
I imagined Andrew as someone that would always wear a hoodie and less fit, I was mostly surprised by the size of those biceps!
It's like how I always picture Josh from SYSK as Link from GMM. No matter how many times I see Josh's face. Same thing happening for Andrew here I think 😂 . You're doing great both of you! Congrats on the TH-cam launch
note about the f150. the lightning is also playing off of an established name not just cause of electricity. Lighting was a performance trim back in the day. So like you said better in some way to convert, they will probably lean into the performance in some way

I feel like that Waveform logo picture in the centre of the set needs to be a screen that you can share content to. Would also be cool to have the awesome opening animation moving in slow-mo on it in between content.
Side note: loving the whole Windows vs Mac laptop thing you got going on too 😂
Even more side note: the completionist in me hates this dual format podcast as now I have to listen to it twice; once on Spotify and once on TH-cam 😞

Something I always thought about with algorithms and how they decide what you want to watch depending on what you watched before. The user should have the option to change how much of “the same” vs “different/random” they get showed. On some days I’m looking for new creators, and on other days I just want to see more of the same. Literally a slider option, but idk.
That’s a great shout! I never thought about it that way but having read your comment, it made me aware that I often feel the same. Sometimes you want something different and it can be frustrating getting the same recommendations all the time. Having the option to look at different content would keep TH-cam fresh when you want it.

The truck needs to be priced similar to the normal truck, but if the government is going to subsidize it so much that it might not matter. Personally I would love for it to be a compelling offer before any kind of government subsidies.

I'm sure someone else mentioned it already, but in case they didn't, Lightning is a legacy name for a performance variant of the F150. Using it in this context makes far more sense than their use of Mustang.

The Libratone Track Air+ are a really great, small, ANC wireless earbud option for Android. I've been using mine for 2 years almost. Idk why they're almost completely under the radar, but Andrew should check them out.

The Ford lightning has been around for a long time. It’s just been their performance truck that still can be a daily driver. I think Ford will strive for the same thing with the electric truck, and it’s really cool to see the old truck come back in a modern form.
I feel that Andrew’s voice has more reverb because Marques sound good to me
As a person whose family currently owns a model 3 and an Impreza hatchback; it’s more of the same buyer than you might think.
