Thanks for covering this. I have been a suckered for Tomb Raider since the ps2 days, but I could not for the life of me figure out a good way to run this.
I ordered my foil Tomb Raider bundle first day. Cant wait to build it and put it together. I have approximately an even number of Legendary equipment and non-equipment Legendary artifacts, and running some of the legendary lands. I am not running much self mill, just Search for Azcanta and Palantir. Right now I have too many cards and trying to decide what to drop. Lol. Running 37 lands and 9 pieces of artifact ramp and quite a few cards that become/flip into lands. Outside of winning with Lara, I do have other win cons like Mindslaver and Godo + Helm of the Host.
@@austinnorris1785 eh. I dont agree here. You are assuming Lara will stay out. I will never agree that self mill is a smart strategy unless you are playing dredge and/or Gaea's Blessing.
I kind of want to make her good. Like cEDH good. But I have to say it feels hard. I guess I will make her into a good stuff temur deck with some other temur broken combos.
Just my own personal opinion,while I do think they deck should be able to operate without the Commander, I am not really understanding why people will just use the Commander for identity colors and not use the Commander as the focus. I mean, anyone can just slap all the best cards for the color identity into a deck and do well, kinda seems not the point of Commander. But that's just me.
@@architectofdreams73 For sure it's all about balance. While the commander should be the focus somewhat, the deck's still gotta be able to function without it.
Thanks! Glad you liked! Fortunately, none of the more expensive cards are tied directly to Lara. So you could definitely find budget alternatives to the strategies in the deck if you wanted to.

Sounds like a plan! It's always good to have backup wincon and Gogo/Helm is definitely a classic.
If you were self milling more you could lower your land count a tad.

I think you can maybe make her cEDH by possibly using land destruction / denial and using her to get a legendary land / mana rock back each combat?
Just run all the broken temur stuff, but at that point, why run Lara? There are far better options for Commanders in Temur for competitive play.
