My favorite part about this series is that you’re not out here just roasting peoples rigs, that they care about, for views. You’re giving genuine, solid advice and you are the absolute goat for that.
Wow! I really wasn't expecting to see my clip on here. Thank you so much for having me on and I'll be sure to dial back the interface. Ive been playing for a long time but i'm still pretty new to computer recording. Love your channel! Rock on! 😁🤘🤘
You're so right about how important bass is. Once I figured out the direction I needed to go with my bass tone, my songs started sounding so much better.
I'm still rocking an old Blue Voodoo 60 on one of my bands rigs, and I friggin love it. The clean channel and effects loop make it an excellent, LOUD, pedal platformer.

As a bass player I love a good guitar tone. The first, second and fourth clips had really good ones. The tone is in the strings and the bass.
Ola, I have been watching a few of your gear testing videos over the last few weeks, but this is the first vid of the Rate my Tone series. I just hit subscribe...this is a cool AF way to connect and get people involved in playing with all kinds of amp/axe/pedal combos. Love this!!! Thank you!!!

I remember your early "metal bass" tutorial, the tone from that video to your current stuff has come light years. A good grindy bass sound in a metal/hard rock mix, really takes things to the next level. Sure, you want some depth and heft to help fill out the bottom end, but that space in the middle you mentioned makes things sound very full. Mad respect to you Ola, for appreciating such important details.
Thanks Ola for this episode you choose more with real amp and cabs to show more of needed skill for mixing. Bcs with plugin now everything is sounds good with very few tweaks
