Great Idea for the 4" holes , I would recommend a hot thick wire w wooden handlelike a ice pick and heat the tip then cyt the circle out and reheat tip as needed, in well ventilared area.

Fantastic idea. Quails are sooo messy. Standard feeder works ok for my little breeding stock , but I'm definitely making one of those for the grow out pen :)

I dont agree with keeping them on wire floors. They need a solid floor to walk on because wire can damage their feet and cause problems.
