Pizzaboy's Pizza was eventually shut down, leaving the animatronics (and the lone butcher\chef) to be stuck in the pizzeria. Pizzaface then blamed Peppino for the loss of his restaurant and began scheming. his first attempt to ruin peppino was a game called Super Pizzaboy Land (or something to that affect.) It did not sell well, and actually boosted the popularity of Peppino's Pizza. Then he decided to build a mech to pilot, a sort of Pizza Face, if you will. During construction of the tower, he put Pizzaface on autopilot while he worked on the gates to other dimensions, resulting in Pizzaface cursing John, turning him into a hivemind of pillars, with more being cloned every day. Gerome was forced into being the janitor cause the tower needed one with all the secret eye dimensions and main dimensions being created throughout the tower. Pizzahead then hired all the main bosses (minus fake peppino) to work at the tower, giving them all what they wanted. Pepperman got his own personal art studio, Vigilante got to be the sherrif he always wanted to be, and The Noise finally got his own dedicated Network. Eventually, Pizzahead managed to clone peppino, all clones were imperfet, but not as much as the first one. turns out there was too much frog DNA. He gave the first clone his own pizzeria and called him Fake Peppino. as he was finishing the tower, he found out peppino had severe ptsd from war, so he made an entire pocket dimension solely based on that. didn't even need a pillar, with the whole nuke being sent down the exact moment peppino set foot in there. finally, he hopped in his semi-sentient pizzaface mech, told peppino he was going to burn down his pizzeria by days end, and went back to the top of his tower and waited. but hey that's just my theory. dont have any clue how the toppins got caged in the different levels tho lmao.

Yknow what I think is funny? In the intro cutscene, there's no actual, direct shot of Pizzaface SAYING he's gonna shoot Peppino's restaurant. All he does is point out how he's gonna be at the tower now, and then Peppino imagines his restaurant getting blown to bits

I cant believe pizza tower had such a massive impact on the gaming community that the developer called 'God', which is the lead developer of the most popular game on steam called 'Life', put it into the game and called it 'Italy'
I kind of just see pizza face as a façade, an attempt of pizzaboy to rebrand himself after the utter failure of his old restaurant. Most of his current powers would simply of result of taking over the pizza tower and all of its unusual properties and residents. Otherwise i generally agree that pizzahead goal is that he knows peppino actually make good pizza and hes trying to harness that skill to make his new restaurant chain more popular.
I have a theory that all the bosses are actually metaphors that represent all the ingredients in a pizza. Pepperman: peppers (obviously) The Vigilante: cheese The Noise: the Noise Fake Peppino: ??? Pizzaface: Pizza I didn't think about it too much on my first playthrough, but now it makes much more sense, and really shows how much effort and depth was put into this game. ❤
Noise represents the insanity of an evil celebrity who hates the product's he advertises hating his life despite his privileges. Fake Peppino represents the desire for corporations to mass produce workers for big profits no matter the ethical methods or the monsters they bring along them
here’s my thoughts on the metaphors Pepperman = the sauce or the toppings of the pizza. The Vigilante = the cheese that goes on top of the sauce. The Noise = The Noise. Fake Peppino = the dough that creates the base of the pizza. Pizzaface = all of them combined.
My personal creepy headcanon is that Fake Peppino is a sort of pizza mimic that Pizzahead was using to take control of Peppino's Pizza. You find Fake Peppino in a fake Peppino's Pizza, and when you break through the floor you fall into a secret tunnel that leads to the abandoned Bruno's Pizza, so my theory is that Fake Peppino used to be Fake Bruno, who was either captured or killed so that Fake Peppino could secretly take over as the new owner and funnel the money to Pizzahead in the pizza tower, only seeing how off Fake Peppino is the scheme didn't work out and Fake Peppino scared off all the customers. In the war level you see clones of Peppino that behave just like Fake Peppino, only these ones look identical to the original, so maybe these clones are perfected versions of Fake Peppino, and once they got rid of Peppino they would insert a clone into his pizzeria as a hostile takeover
Thing is, your theory that one of the new clones might take over the real Peppino's Pizza could be true, but all of the "Perfected" clones are only perfected in appearance. This is the reason why they chose Fake Peppino. All of the clones look identical to the real Peppino, but they are very weak. Fake Peppino is very twisted in appearance but he is a strong fighter.
Theory: Totino Pizzaboy (yea that’s his real name) was the being from the stars. He was also extremely entitled, which caused him to make his followers build a mech for him. He quickly had aspirations of his own restaurant. It flopped. And you know what he did? He imprisoned Pillar John for all of eternity to act as the tower’s support beams, and he made a pizza empire. Then an Italian man ruined it all.
My theory about Pizzaface is that he is indeed a mech, but a mech made out of pizza. He has his own identity and isn't controlled by Pizzahead, rather Pizzahead uses Pizzaface as a means to cause mischief all while Pizzaface goes along of his own accord. Perhaps Pizzaface acts more like the one pulling the strings, while Pizzahead just oversees the work
I think the story is simply Pizza Face trying to harness Peppino for TV content. Since the obvious TV showing off his face and the death screen showing Pizza Face recording peppino in action. I believe that Pizza Face wasnt actually going to destroy the pizzaria but simply wanted to make Peppino angry so he can enter the Tower and actually try to beat the levels.
2:13 Back in the sage 2019 demo, the help manual said something along forknights beind off-duty, and that they have lost their lunch. But they also have been seen hurting the player intentionally in their scrapped heat meter attack, Theres also the chance that the whole "forknights aren't trying to hurt you since they're off-duty" thing could be deconfirmed for the full game, but i really like to think that it's still the case.
In all seriousness, Fake Peppino definitely has a creepiness to him, it's only overshadowed by the fact that Peppino was able to beat him into the ground. But if you're just someone like a cheese knight, or a pig, or the failed prototypes of fake Peppino, then he's a borderline eldritch horror. His creepiness shouldn't be as far as creepypasta though, more like one of those close up shots from Spongebob they did in earlier seasons.
I do think that Pizza Face is a mech the other is driving, especially because, after pizza head exits, the attacks pizza face does are limited to spitting cog wheels at you, hinting its mechanical nature.
Alr here’s my theory for fake peppino: He is a clone that is made from dough from the leftovers of pizza, and that is why we see multiple, because they have tried many times to beat peppino’s business to the point where they full on copied the restaurant entirely.
I’m also pretty sure that the pizzas that that talk to you are named “grandma pizza” (correct me if I’m wrong) and in the level “DONT MAKE A SOUND” your “grandma” helps you with the forced alarm, kind of confirming it’s pepinos grandma (why would she help peppino if she wasn't his real grandma?) which confirms peppinos relatives are pizza, making him somewhat not human, MAKING HIM MADE OUT OF PIZZA. AND HE'S SELLING PIZZA WHICH MEANS HES SELLING HIS RELATIVES AND FUTURE KIDS..
Theory by me on wiki: In WARs lab, Pillar John is found being cloned. There are multiple Pillar Johns throughout the tower. In The Crumbling Tower Of Pizza, Pillar John is covered in toppings, showing that he went through something bad. All the other Pillar Johns are normal. Cloning usually hurts and can ruin things about your body. In the ending, every single Pillar John should be dead, however only one is found. We know from Peppino Clones that clones in Pizza Tower are made of some kind of goop. The goop is presumably cheese, as seen in old animations for Peppino Clones and Fake Peppino. In the hub of Staff Only, a statue of Pillar John is seen, being held up by CHEESE, possibly hinting at that. So The Crumbling Tower Of Pizzas Pillar John is the original Pillar John. Also, Pizzaboys are cardboard cutouts, further hinting that Pizzahead was the OG.
6:37 I dont really think pizza face is an actual person. Because at the Final boss fight, at His phase 2. We can see that Pizza head is spitting machine parts at peppino trying to kill him as same as pizza head. This inplies that Pizza head was actually controling pizza face .

I hear from a friend of mine that Pizzaboy and Pizzahead are the same, and that Pizzahead, as an older Pizzaboy decided to form an alliance with Pizzaface. Pizzahead convinced Pizzaface to get Peppino to work at the tower to achieve Pizzahead's dream of being a whole pizza over just a slice.
I believe that fake peppino is a clone of peppino made of dough witch explains why there are so many and why there is a weird melting effect when he goes into the ground
One thing that I find rather interesting about _Pizza Tower_ is that, while its plot is minimal, it still manages to roughly follow a standard plot diagram. Here's how it does, as I see it (spoilers here, if you didn't already spoil yourself by watching the video): -The *exposition* is Peppino in his pizzeria that isn't doing so hot, as evidenced by the debt papers, broken piggy bank, and lack of customers. -The *inciting incident* for the *conflict* is Pizzaface showing up at the pizzeria and telling Peppino of a claimed plan to destroy the pizzeria with a giant laser weapon; this terrifies and enrages Peppino, who then runs toward the Pizza Tower in with a goal to take Pizzaface and/or the tower down. -The *rising action* is quite literal in this game, as it encapsulates the entirety of Peppino's ascent of the tower. -The *climax* is the fight against Pizzaface himself (and then some) at the literal top of the tower. -The *falling action* is when Peppino and the others make their final escape from the tower as it's literally about to fall, plus the actual fall of the tower in the ending cutscenes. -The *resolution* is Peppino observing dead John (and reviving him if all secret treasures have been collected), Peppino getting his pizzeria back in business, and everything else that's pictured in the credits.
Pizza Boy was forced to work for the tower but didn’t know he was really working for the mozzarellites to reach the great crust in the sky, so happening to be Pizza Face. I believe the mozzarellites gave the entity that makes Pizza Face’s lively self the pizza body, Pizza Face absorbed Pizza Boy in the process due to something that happened, with Pizza Boy having the brave hope he’d be set free one day, which happened via the final boss fight. Pizza Face creates the Pizza Dimension thus replicating John the Pillar for all the levels. The question I have is, who or what forced Pizza Boy to work for the tower? If he refused to work for the tower, nothing would have happened. So why does he HAVE to work for the tower?
Pizza face does seem like he could be a sentient construct of sorts. He spits out gears in the second phase of pizza head's fight. His face can swing open like a door. Why the hell does he have a toilet inside him? Exactly. Pizza face is a construct, not a mech.
What pizza head, pizza face and pizza boy is: no pizza face is a robot for pizza head to use to annoy/scare the hell out of Peppino Spaghetti. So Pizza face is like a little body (which is technically big) to use to hunt down food, drink and well, prank Peppino. Now getting out of the lore, Pizza head is a grown up version of Pizza boy. So pizza head use to be pizza boy. However there are more. And considering Pizza head technically being invincible (you can see this after reviving Pillar John), Once all the Pizza boys grow there will be chaos. Ok maybe that WAS lore.

I have a theory that John is a ton of creatures, that pizzahead found a way to use and John gutter level is their nest. The John we save in true ending is the first one of all them that is now trapped at the top of the tower.
Ever wondered why Fake Peppinos (including the other fake Peppinos in the War level) seem to have so much in common with frogs? From croaking, to tongue attacks, to turning into frogs when they jump? Well, what are Peppino's special abilities? The man can jump pretty high including a super-jump and a long-jump, he can effortlessly crawl up/stick to walls, and he doesn't seem to have much of a neck. Kind of like a frog... Now consider that we see clones of Peppino in the War level and that's where we also find incomplete Fake Peppinos, and it all comes together: Peppino himself is the final product of a military experiment to create the ultimate super-soldier, by combining humans with frog DNA and mozarella cheese. He might be ok now, but his memories of frog-boot-camp surrounded by his fellow clones are what keep him on edge at night.
My theory here is that Pizzaface/head has absolutely no agency in this and Peppino is- not necessarily the antagonist, but just jumps to conclusions. I feel like Pizzaface/head is just a bit scary but wanted to try and engage a friendly rivalry, but Peppino's PTSD took over and he concluded Pizzaface/head wanted to destroy the restaurant.
For the Pep clones, I feel like they are attempts for Pizzahead to try and replicate Peppino's recipies. The Peppibot factory was a way to try and make Peppino's pizza mass produced. It didn't work. The clones were a way to try and directly get Peppino's recipe by just having their own Peppion who could make the pizza without having to deal with the real Peppino. It didn't work. The Fake Pep boss fight was the best clone they could make. Bruno's was an abandoned restaurant they acquired to use as a testing ground on how well the clones could actually run a pizzeria. As you can guess, it didn't work as none of the clones they made could come even close to matching Peppino. Out of options, Pizzaboy/Face decided to go after the real chef directly in an attempt to get him to work for the Tower. It... diidn't work.
it may be a theory, but i have 2 things up my sleeve that debunks the 2nd part 1. in pizzaheads phase, pizzaface spits out cogwheels, making it more likely that hes a robot. and 2. in some early concept art for the final boss, the old sprite where pizzaface opens shows pizzahead controlling him with levers and buttons and such.
PizzaFace could very well still be a mech, but one that can take orders and execute them. What adds more to PizzaFace being a Mech, is the fact he spits out cogs and how his mouth is shaped in a square wave look in phase 2. The illustrations in Oh Shit! could just be the denizens interpretation of PizzaFace (mostly just implying how powerful he is), similar to propaganda posters used in the world wars or civil war, or even illustrations of the Devil in religious work. (case similar in point: "Saturn devouring his son" artwork) I saw another theory how in Phase 2, when PizzaFace is not on screen he is down eating the doors to the levels (which is why they don't appear in CTOP), and why he spits out cogs as he got them from Peppibot Factory. I would like to disprove this, as this theory simply cannot hold due to the shapes of the cogs themselves. Assuming the doors are *Portals* to other regions of space (supported by Deep Dish 9's outer worlds), then Pizzaface would only need to consume the DOORS, hence the cogs not matching up. Plus, there are bricks left over from each door, none supporting this theory.
For all its worth, as someone who gets obsessed with lore, heres what I think is happening. I think Pizzahead is/always was the one running the company-side of the mozzerelites, he made Pizzaface as a mech for transport and a scare tactic against peppino whatever other businesses he scared away The stuff about getting at peppino i do think is all accurate, triggering peppino with ptsd, attempting to clone him, etc I also think Pizzahead is, at least, partially, some eldritch monster. Perhaps he is also the leader of the Mozzerelites, and getting to the Great Crust granted him those powers? But overall i think the games plot is a metaphor for literal hostile takeover of a small buisness by the big generic corporation, just with some cartoon-like absurdity put in the mix, and some other lore like peppinos ptsd to fully flesh out this world

My personal creepy headcanon is that Fake Peppino is a sort of pizza mimic that Pizzahead was using to take control of Peppino's Pizza. You find Fake Peppino in a fake Peppino's Pizza, and when you break through the floor you fall into a secret tunnel that leads to the abandoned Bruno's Pizza, so my theory is that Fake Peppino used to be Fake Bruno, who was either captured or killed so that Fake Peppino could secretly take over as the new owner and funnel the money to Pizzahead in the pizza tower, only seeing how off Fake Peppino is the scheme didn't work out and Fake Peppino scared off all the customers. In the war level you see clones of Peppino that behave just like Fake Peppino, only these ones look identical to the original, so maybe these clones are perfected versions of Fake Peppino, and once they got rid of Peppino they would insert a clone into his pizzeria as a hostile takeover

Thing is, your theory that one of the new clones might take over the real Peppino's Pizza could be true, but all of the "Perfected" clones are only perfected in appearance. This is the reason why they chose Fake Peppino. All of the clones look identical to the real Peppino, but they are very weak. Fake Peppino is very twisted in appearance but he is a strong fighter.
I don't think I've understood a single whole sentence in the entire video. It's like a fever dream. 10/10 would watch again, amazing.

Theory: Totino Pizzaboy (yea that’s his real name) was the being from the stars. He was also extremely entitled, which caused him to make his followers build a mech for him. He quickly had aspirations of his own restaurant. It flopped. And you know what he did? He imprisoned Pillar John for all of eternity to act as the tower’s support beams, and he made a pizza empire. Then an Italian man ruined it all.
My theory about Pizzaface is that he is indeed a mech, but a mech made out of pizza. He has his own identity and isn't controlled by Pizzahead, rather Pizzahead uses Pizzaface as a means to cause mischief all while Pizzaface goes along of his own accord. Perhaps Pizzaface acts more like the one pulling the strings, while Pizzahead just oversees the work
This theory was so profound I completely failed to notice it was released on April 1st.
I think the story is simply Pizza Face trying to harness Peppino for TV content. Since the obvious TV showing off his face and the death screen showing Pizza Face recording peppino in action. I believe that Pizza Face wasnt actually going to destroy the pizzaria but simply wanted to make Peppino angry so he can enter the Tower and actually try to beat the levels.

In all seriousness, Fake Peppino definitely has a creepiness to him, it's only overshadowed by the fact that Peppino was able to beat him into the ground. But if you're just someone like a cheese knight, or a pig, or the failed prototypes of fake Peppino, then he's a borderline eldritch horror. His creepiness shouldn't be as far as creepypasta though, more like one of those close up shots from Spongebob they did in earlier seasons.

I do think that Pizza Face is a mech the other is driving, especially because, after pizza head exits, the attacks pizza face does are limited to spitting cog wheels at you, hinting its mechanical nature.
Alr here’s my theory for fake peppino: He is a clone that is made from dough from the leftovers of pizza, and that is why we see multiple, because they have tried many times to beat peppino’s business to the point where they full on copied the restaurant entirely.
I’m also pretty sure that the pizzas that that talk to you are named “grandma pizza” (correct me if I’m wrong) and in the level “DONT MAKE A SOUND” your “grandma” helps you with the forced alarm, kind of confirming it’s pepinos grandma (why would she help peppino if she wasn't his real grandma?) which confirms peppinos relatives are pizza, making him somewhat not human, MAKING HIM MADE OUT OF PIZZA.

In WARs lab, Pillar John is found being cloned. There are multiple Pillar Johns throughout the tower. In The Crumbling Tower Of Pizza, Pillar John is covered in toppings, showing that he went through something bad. All the other Pillar Johns are normal. Cloning usually hurts and can ruin things about your body. In the ending, every single Pillar John should be dead, however only one is found. We know from Peppino Clones that clones in Pizza Tower are made of some kind of goop. The goop is presumably cheese, as seen in old animations for Peppino Clones and Fake Peppino. In the hub of Staff Only, a statue of Pillar John is seen, being held up by CHEESE, possibly hinting at that. So The Crumbling Tower Of Pizzas Pillar John is the original Pillar John.
Also, Pizzaboys are cardboard cutouts, further hinting that Pizzahead was the OG.

I hear from a friend of mine that Pizzaboy and Pizzahead are the same, and that Pizzahead, as an older Pizzaboy decided to form an alliance with Pizzaface. Pizzahead convinced Pizzaface to get Peppino to work at the tower to achieve Pizzahead's dream of being a whole pizza over just a slice.

One thing that I find rather interesting about _Pizza Tower_ is that, while its plot is minimal, it still manages to roughly follow a standard plot diagram. Here's how it does, as I see it (spoilers here, if you didn't already spoil yourself by watching the video):
-The *exposition* is Peppino in his pizzeria that isn't doing so hot, as evidenced by the debt papers, broken piggy bank, and lack of customers.
-The *inciting incident* for the *conflict* is Pizzaface showing up at the pizzeria and telling Peppino of a claimed plan to destroy the pizzeria with a giant laser weapon; this terrifies and enrages Peppino, who then runs toward the Pizza Tower in with a goal to take Pizzaface and/or the tower down.
-The *rising action* is quite literal in this game, as it encapsulates the entirety of Peppino's ascent of the tower.
-The *climax* is the fight against Pizzaface himself (and then some) at the literal top of the tower.
-The *falling action* is when Peppino and the others make their final escape from the tower as it's literally about to fall, plus the actual fall of the tower in the ending cutscenes.
-The *resolution* is Peppino observing dead John (and reviving him if all secret treasures have been collected), Peppino getting his pizzeria back in business, and everything else that's pictured in the credits.

Pizza Boy was forced to work for the tower but didn’t know he was really working for the mozzarellites to reach the great crust in the sky, so happening to be Pizza Face. I believe the mozzarellites gave the entity that makes Pizza Face’s lively self the pizza body, Pizza Face absorbed Pizza Boy in the process due to something that happened, with Pizza Boy having the brave hope he’d be set free one day, which happened via the final boss fight. Pizza Face creates the Pizza Dimension thus replicating John the Pillar for all the levels. The question I have is, who or what forced Pizza Boy to work for the tower? If he refused to work for the tower, nothing would have happened. So why does he HAVE to work for the tower?

So Pizza face is like a little body (which is technically big) to use to hunt down food, drink and well, prank Peppino. Now getting out of the lore, Pizza head is a grown up version of Pizza boy. So pizza head use to be pizza boy. However there are more. And considering Pizza head technically being invincible (you can see this after reviving Pillar John), Once all the Pizza boys grow there will be chaos. Ok maybe that WAS lore.

Ever wondered why Fake Peppinos (including the other fake Peppinos in the War level) seem to have so much in common with frogs? From croaking, to tongue attacks, to turning into frogs when they jump?
Well, what are Peppino's special abilities? The man can jump pretty high including a super-jump and a long-jump, he can effortlessly crawl up/stick to walls, and he doesn't seem to have much of a neck.
Kind of like a frog...
Now consider that we see clones of Peppino in the War level and that's where we also find incomplete Fake Peppinos, and it all comes together: Peppino himself is the final product of a military experiment to create the ultimate super-soldier, by combining humans with frog DNA and mozarella cheese. He might be ok now, but his memories of frog-boot-camp surrounded by his fellow clones are what keep him on edge at night.

My theory here is that Pizzaface/head has absolutely no agency in this and Peppino is- not necessarily the antagonist, but just jumps to conclusions. I feel like Pizzaface/head is just a bit scary but wanted to try and engage a friendly rivalry, but Peppino's PTSD took over and he concluded Pizzaface/head wanted to destroy the restaurant.

For the Pep clones, I feel like they are attempts for Pizzahead to try and replicate Peppino's recipies. The Peppibot factory was a way to try and make Peppino's pizza mass produced. It didn't work. The clones were a way to try and directly get Peppino's recipe by just having their own Peppion who could make the pizza without having to deal with the real Peppino. It didn't work. The Fake Pep boss fight was the best clone they could make. Bruno's was an abandoned restaurant they acquired to use as a testing ground on how well the clones could actually run a pizzeria. As you can guess, it didn't work as none of the clones they made could come even close to matching Peppino. Out of options, Pizzaboy/Face decided to go after the real chef directly in an attempt to get him to work for the Tower. It... diidn't work.

it may be a theory, but i have 2 things up my sleeve that debunks the 2nd part
1. in pizzaheads phase, pizzaface spits out cogwheels, making it more likely that hes a robot.
and 2. in some early concept art for the final boss, the old sprite where pizzaface opens shows pizzahead controlling him with levers and buttons and such.
PizzaFace could very well still be a mech, but one that can take orders and execute them. What adds more to PizzaFace being a Mech, is the fact he spits out cogs and how his mouth is shaped in a square wave look in phase 2. The illustrations in Oh Shit! could just be the denizens interpretation of PizzaFace (mostly just implying how powerful he is), similar to propaganda posters used in the world wars or civil war, or even illustrations of the Devil in religious work. (case similar in point: "Saturn devouring his son" artwork)
I saw another theory how in Phase 2, when PizzaFace is not on screen he is down eating the doors to the levels (which is why they don't appear in CTOP), and why he spits out cogs as he got them from Peppibot Factory. I would like to disprove this, as this theory simply cannot hold due to the shapes of the cogs themselves. Assuming the doors are *Portals* to other regions of space (supported by Deep Dish 9's outer worlds), then Pizzaface would only need to consume the DOORS, hence the cogs not matching up. Plus, there are bricks left over from each door, none supporting this theory.
For all its worth, as someone who gets obsessed with lore, heres what I think is happening.
I think Pizzahead is/always was the one running the company-side of the mozzerelites, he made Pizzaface as a mech for transport and a scare tactic against peppino whatever other businesses he scared away
The stuff about getting at peppino i do think is all accurate, triggering peppino with ptsd, attempting to clone him, etc
I also think Pizzahead is, at least, partially, some eldritch monster. Perhaps he is also the leader of the Mozzerelites, and getting to the Great Crust granted him those powers?
But overall i think the games plot is a metaphor for literal hostile takeover of a small buisness by the big generic corporation, just with some cartoon-like absurdity put in the mix, and some other lore like peppinos ptsd to fully flesh out this world
