Plenty of countries have told russia to withdraw from Ukraine, if putin did this then there would be peace. And the war started in 2014, Trump made no attempt to end it during his presidency. In fact he ended exactly zero wars, he did drop plenty of bombs and carry out plenty of drone strikes though.

When zelensky was elected in 2019 it was on a platform to negotiate an end to that conflict. He chose not to so Putin finally intervened. Would the US act differently if this was on their border?

It was a little too blatant from a propaganda perspective.” He also stated that the armed formations “They [in eastern Ukraine] are Russian forces".
