Likely Fort Lauderdale tornado caught on camera

- An apparent tornado moved near the downtown Fort Lauderdale area late Saturday afternoon.
Several videos posted on the social media platform X, formerly Twitter, captured the tornado moving east toward the Atlantic Ocean. Radar images at the time indicated a severe thunderstorm with a strong tornado signature just before 5:45 p.m.
In some videos, power flashes and debris were seen.

Very odd. Maybe 3 miles from me and I didn’t even know until my friend told me about it. Wasn’t that windy or rainy. Very freaky.

Back a few years ago in Ct. Our whole sky turned black as far south/west as we could see. Tornadoes were south of our location about 37 miles away.

@howareyou12469 Hard to explain simply, but basically a recurring climate pattern based off above average pacific temps mainly in winter that happens every few years or so (they can even have 10 years in between them) and causes erratic unusual weather. I suggest looking it up. This year's is similar to the one that caused the February 1998 Kissimmee tornado outbreak.
