Hi. I took two days and four restarts with this video. Not intentional, but appropriate for the sort of loaded content about loneliness. I say loaded because for me loneliness has felt like failure. Failure to have like minded friends. My interior dialogue is not rational. I'm realizing, as I write, it's a lot of inherited principles about being capable of having and doing everything if I just work HARD Enough. My dad was an athletic coach. His mantra was to give 110%. Ha!!! This is a good topic for my journal 😅. Anyway, love the weekly videos. They are practical. Deeply resonant. Well paced. Interesting. Good medicine. PS I love the poetry references. I relate big time.
@@coffeecoffee446 You're so right, about these realizations that flow from the journaling. And yeah - loneliness is a touch subject. I'm really glad to have this dialogue about it here. Thank you for sharing, connecting, and for your feedback. I appreciate it so much.
I’m living in a small town. Most people I encounter have been here for generations. I’m an outsider. Also, I’m an extreme introvert & being around other people is overwhelming. Even more so since 2020 - I’ve gotten used to avoiding public spaces. My life wasn’t like this before. I used to have a community.
Great video, Lisa; I found this video both comforting and inspiring (no easy feat). You definitely convey a sincere authenticity in building community. I'll be back for more videos!
Hi Lisa - I thought I watched part of this video a few hours ago and it was much longer then. Is it just me or have you removed some content? I was interested in your emphemera sorting/ storage solutions. How to trash some and glue some at the same sitting. Is that sounding familiar and where might I find it now?
@@karendale9926 Hi Karen! This video here is exactly as posted. The other video you are referring to is inside our Your Leading Creative Edge classroom. I uploaded that video today into our classroom! It's about an hour and a half long!
How do you experience loneliness? I shared a whole bunch of ways that I do. And what helps me cope. I hope this helps you, too. ❤
