Congrats to Light for winning Smash Con and Glutonny for getting 2nd after putting MkLeo in 3rd! Interesting they had a Sora exhibition match after the tournament ended already
Personally am a Gluto fan. But I have to say, congrats to Light. Their matches are always special. So no worries. Losing against Light is no shame. It felt like Light was beating him up for taking his chance to fight Leo 😂 Light and Gluto are just so evenly matched. There's a reason they are the next 2 players in whatever order following Leo and Sparg0 on the PGRU
@@strylon2277 Light is better than Glutonny. By a good margin (not by a lot but they should not be called even) Light at this point is like the hardest player to upset after Leo, Gluto still gets upsets, and most important still has demons he can't beat. He still never won against Tea for example, Light has his losing record against some players but it's never TOO BAD (even Maister though he double eliminated him, in 2022 they are even in sets, not to mention Glutonny too loses to Maister even harder than Light). Gluto has some weird random 17th at Europeans tournament, this doesn't happen to Light, not anymore, he hasn't performed worse than TOP 4 since like... 7 months i believe.
10:52 Light had a flashback from where glutonny got that same exact combo at another tourney and that costed him the game, you can see it on the facecam
Gluto hit the ground so hard from Fox Forward air that the knock back made him fly so far above the ground that he was able to input a tech in place when he landed. So it was a double bounce but the second bounce was teched
The instant gluto hit that last fair on shield Light instantly upsmashed. Wish I had that reaction time. Also that thing TK said about bair kill screen being a lie - truer words have never been spoken. That just never kills when he needs it to 😂
Imagine these 2 legends fighting their way up, and this nobody out of nowhere uses a broken character and beats them all. He might think he's a prodigy, but he's not. Sparg0 was a prodigy, and we saw him eventually progress. Majors give you the experience you need to climb up the rank, how come someone without being top 5 in a single major suddenly beats the best players in the world, as if they were new players. The data is there, Steve is broken. I know these top players will find the MU one day, and we will all realize that Onin is just an average player.
Onin is definitely not an average player. Sure, Steve is broken, I can’t disagree with that. But you still need a lot of skill to be able to take sets as convincingly as Onin does.
Why yall let the players sit so close?? Looking into a small tv?. Whoever provided and thought of this setup needs to understand space and boundaries. 👎🤷♂️. I dont want to sit right next to someone i dont know like that. Especially since is a tense competition

You can't figure out which player is better with one tournament dude. You have to look at the results across a long period of time to check which player has more consistency 👍
