I'm so proud of Tweek for this! Look how calm and collected he was the whole time. He didn't lose his cool and played amazingly. It's still a little depressing watching Diddy Kong try to kill, though. He puts in so much work and finds so many openings but on average has to kill way over 100% with basically all of his kill options. It feels like he has to consistently play amazing the entire time because he can instantly die from any mistake, because characters like Wario and most of the cast have ways to kill you at such low percentages. He really has an unreal level of skill to play Diddy Kong like this and I think people don't realise how amazing it is for him to compete with top players with him like this. I know Tweek didn't win but I'm so fricken proud of him! I feel like this was a win for his improvement, and he's been so fun to watch, be it his gameplay or his personality. He's such a blessing to have in the scene!
Legendary set easily my favourite so. it is such a good set im not even upset the player I rooted for lost just happy I got to watch it live without being spoiled.
9:07 he got the fair punish with the insane air drift on the uptilt, again on the smash AGAIN on the grab and then got a jump read with upair and confirmed into whaft, absolutely nuts.
@@armakeen3576 hes been competing since brawl, I mean there are always some type of mental stipulations u could point towards but at some point it becomes a skill which separates players.
@@Yokai_Yuri that was an old Ranking it got a fair bit of back lash because it didn't make sense to make it in that time frame but if you look at the contenders for top 3 it's impossible to put him there at least In my opinion you can argue anyone at this point is top 3
Then the set would have ended way earlier in a 3-0 for Gluto. Gluto's Wario won't lose a single mirror match, Gluto is the only one who kept pushing Wario in the post nerf era, and the difference shows off
He didn't have his air-dodge and he was landing, Gluto would've followed him wherever he landed, he might not have hit but the odds of him getting smacked there is higher than you make it sound.
What do you mean? He was up and in advantage for most of the last few interactions. Like maybe if he was down two stocks you could say he gave up, but he looked like he was fighting till the end. And besides, he got frame trapped by Gluto. He didn't just let himself get hit.
He could've naired his way down but it required him to expect Gluto to respect him which would've been quite a hard read. Most players go for the obvious play, specially in situations where they can get a kill and here it was a FH Uair by Gluto so avoiding that is a solid choice.
Tweek lost because he got Nessed, Nesses likes to do tons of inpust and just ruin resources and last stock Tweek wanted to do a freaking revers to change his momentum right where Gluto was standing, like, why?

Games 3-5 were so entertaining to watch. Definitely the best set of the tournament so far.

Fun fact, other than one set at kongo kickoff where tweek didn't go one of his mains, this is the first time gluto has beaten Tweek in ultimate.
