I love the little groove at the end of Throwing Stones at around 11 min. It is cooking hot! --Lol. What is that? It has the bounce! Oh, and here comes the brass! An orchestra is excellent, but I'm hearing Big Band, and it's swinging! Thanks for sharing here! It's very kind. The whole preview is smoking hot!

Love it! I almost wish Bob would play a truly slow motion set just make the haters literally explode so we never have to hear their whining again.
I’m not hating but it is a bit slow, it’s nice to hear something in a different style though. I mean this is the way the song was always meant to be played, never the same more than once 👌🏻
He DOES play TRULY slow motion sets, you just got used to it ! 🙂 If viola lee was any slower it would grind to a halt.
I'm not a hater of Weirs current music , but with all the great Dead music out there why settle for shows that are as slow as the worst Jerry band shows when he was smacked out ?
I'd rather listen to the songs being played using the tempo that suits them a lot better AND with Jerry in the mix.
@@reverendbarker650 I think the reason why he slows the tempos down is because it's the natural evolution for the person playing the music.... plain and simple, the faster you go the more trapped you are as you play a piece of music, the slower you go the more you open it up. I've been playing guitar for 30 some years and I can tell you I find blazing through a song To offer very little and without realizing it I have slowed down just about every song I played, it feels better and I feel more of a Groove and a pulse.
Another thing I like to point out is that if you go back and listen to all of the Grateful Dead's music with Jerry was around, they had already been there and done that with this slowing the music down drastically stuff, and had the internet been around they would have bitched super hard about it. I mean think about how slow Saint Stephen was when they returned it. They didn't stick with it but it had they done that, I swear they slowed that Tempo down at least as much as Bobby slows down any song he plays now. Also the tempo of Friend of the Devil, Tennessee Jed, and the list goes on. And to bolster that, when the Grateful Dead sounded their worst was when the tempos were just be out of hand. All through the 80s and the 90s I can't tell you how many times they started songs without being organized and they were too fast and they sound like shit. Like in the eyes of the world from 85 what a mess those fast versions are... one fast eyes of the world from 1985 is way worse than all of Bob's slow Renditions put together.
So, my point is is that the slowing it down is a tactic that Jerry himself promoted back during the most coveted years of the dead.
If you go to the shows, you will also realize why they play the song slow. They start off slow and you're moving your body dancing to the song, and you think wow this is slow, and then halfway through you are throwing down to that slow tempo and the song has way more of an ability to grow and build.
So, people can go ahead and be hypocritical and educated and focused on Surface knee-jerk reactions from armchair quarterbacks that don't even go to the concert most likely, but the truth is is that slowing these songs down was not only the best choice and tactics to keep this moving and evolving, it was really the only choice....
I just started this playback and honestly this throwing stones is the perfect Tempo if you ask me.
And I rest my case

I think one of the saddest things I've ever seen in my life is how far down Bob weir has lost it I mean he's on life support up there and all he needs to do is take a break to recharge his batteries to take time off and to enjoy his life write his book man but get off the stage man and give himself a break I've never seen something so embarrassing in my life I really believe man that if Jerry was alive if Bob was playing on this kind of a level he wouldn't play with him I know wouldn't I feel bad for Bobby because he's giving everything he's got to give but it looks like to me that he's already dead on that stage and for his own sake I pray that he takes a break and recharges his battery come back with some energy I mean I can't stand to listen to these people I mean the energy level is about a -20 and they've slowed down the song soslow that the energy of the music is changed it kind of reminds me more of a funeral than them playing music so come on Bobby give yourself a break and get off the stage stop making a fool out of yourself it's not about the money and it's not about you playing guitar it's about you getting some rest and recharging your batteries do yourself a favor Bob we're cuz you're making a complete fool out of yourself and everybody that's on that stage with you it's really slow lame and undead like if there ever was such a thing
Email Bob weir looks pretty exhausted up there I think he's made enough money to take a vacation and recharge his batteries because the energy level is about on a one and a half minus and you know it's not him at his best he needs to rest and rejuvenate and then come back and play to see him play on this level is really sad and disappointing because it's nothing like he usually plays I really hope that Bob gets some rest
