@@IgnatiusChinaski That is ofc something subjective. I for one feel all three play it quite excellently and have found just the exact right band in Deadco.. How many f'n GD cover bands does there need to be? Doesn't anyone ever get tired of hearing the same songs over and over again? These are both great and valid points and I totally understand the approach but instead of covering all these songs that have literally been played thousands of times, take the influence and inspiration of the GD(and music like it) to create new songs that have a GD feel but still stuff that no one has ever heard before. Yes this is a more risky(and less lazy) move since you're not guaranteed to sell out shows but with the caliber of these musicians I can almost guarantee it would be something special. Melvin Seals is on those sweet keys. Many many years in Jerry Garcia Band and JGB. Rule of thumb: If Melvin is there, something good is happening!
Oteil Burbridge - Bass (Allman Bros./ D&C) , Melvin Seals - Keys (JGB), Eric Krasno - Guitar [the fender looking one] (Soulive/Lettuce) , John Kadlecik - Guitar/Vocal (Dark Star Orchestra), Jay Lane - Drums(RatDog) , Jennifer Hartswick - Trumpet/Vocals( Trey Anastasio Band), and Weedie Braimah - Percussion (Not Sure)
