So get this: the "one spell per turn" isn't quite what people often think. If you cast a spell as a bonus action, then your accompanying action cannot be a numbered spell. And so, let's consider the Fighter's Action Surge: it's not listed as a bonus action, and it says it gives you an action with no limitations on what you can do with it. Thus, all discussions I've seen about this so far says that yes, you can cast two leveled spells in a single turn using Action Serge. And thus, imagine witnessing this: a sorcerer has haste up, starts off using Quicken Spell to cast Fireball as a bonus action, then uses an action to use Fire Bolt, then Action Serge for another Fireball, and with the third action granted by Haste (which specifically lists what you CAN do, and none of those are spell casting, but it DOES say you can use an object) and use your Wand of Fireballs. Three Fireballs plus a Fire Bolt in one turn.
I just wanna double check something real quick. If you have haste up and cursed a target you can make 2 eldritch blasts + 1 more because of quickebed spell. So that would be 12d10 + 60 right? But then you get a bonus to each damage roll equal to your prof bonus because of hex blade curse, so that’s an additional 72 damage. The average would be like 198 but because of course you should get at least one crit since your chances are doubled making it over 200 in one turn. You can do this 10 times if you only use sorcery points on this, but then again you can just convert spell slots into sorcery points. Obviously against a high cr creature you won’t hit every time, but you have distance thanks to your flight anyways. So basically can someone double check this? I feel like I must be wrong somehow
I had a cleric in my party once who hated having healing magic, and would use it as sparingly as possible. She also frequently tricked my Lizardfolk barbarian into giving her any money he would earn, as he came from a culture with a barter economy.

I think this is the first time I've Ever Fully Disagreed with a Tulok Build, which is impressive in it's own right... He's at what? 200 Builds now and This is the first time I think he got something wrong, that's one hell of a streak to break! -Sessomaru ONLY has 1 Healing Ability, and it's Basically the Spell Revivify, He's used it like 3 Times in the whole series. And has NEVER shown Any other Healing ability whatsoever, he can't Cure wounds on someone that's Still alive, he can ONLY Raise the recently Dead. He is not A healer, he's just happens to have ONE Rez ability. - Sessomaru does NOT Draw his power from his Sword, Tensaiga Stays in it's Sheath Basically the whole series and he refuses to use it for it's intended purpose. Basically ALL his power comes from himself and his bloodline... His other Swords are Literally Interchangeable, he Can't Hold on to Tessaiga without a Human Arm Grafted onto himself that will burn away in no time. The Demon Sword he gets Made Halfway through the series is a Neat powerup for him but he eventually outgrows it and Breaks it... Then he only Gets his REAL combat Sword in the VERY last Season of the show when he Finally Regrows his Lost arm as he Gets over his Prejudice against Humans... Pact of the BLADE/Hexblade Warlock does NOT Fit him at all.... I'm Not Averse to him being SOME Brand of Warlock, but That Subclass just ain't it... Try Pact of the chain with a Fiendish "Patron", he Goes everywhere with that blasted Imp Jaken who is just as useless as a proper familiar other than that Staff of Fire Breath He carries (Nobody ever said Familiars with hands couldn't use Magic Items that blast spells)... Fiendish Patron gives him one Damage Resistance of your Choice per Short Rest (Pick poison), lets him feeds off Kills, Gets a boost to Saves once to just say "No" to one Nasty effect, and Can Banish a Creature to hell (He Literally does this to Inuyasha before their first big showdown!), Ignore the Fire Spells you could Get, you won't Need them, but All the non Fire spells on the list are in character so you can pick those if you like if you don't Find something you'd like better in the standard Warlock List. - Sessomaru does NOT use Blade Beams as part of HIS Standard Kit, he can use the Wind Scar from Tessaiga While he has it, but lasts all of 1 episode. It should not be his "Bread and Butter" attack, Eldrich Blast has no Business in his Kit! Case and point, not ONE Bit of Footage during this Vid shows Sessomaru Shooting even a Single Blade Beam, not ONE! (The other Ranged attack spells are fine though, since he does have some ranged attacks, but they're not Really comparable to Eldrich blast) Which Brings me to what he HAS done non stop in the Cut Clips... - Sessomaru's MAIN Combat Kit is POISON, those Sprays you See him doing all throughout the fight, are Poison, the stuff Drips from his claws (I think that even the Energy whip thing he does is poison Based). Yet nowhere in this Build dud Tulok give him ANY Poison... That's like 50% of Sessomaru's Abilities not being represented here... I Know there aren't that Many poison Spells, but you should still Try to give him some when you can, it fits his abilities. - Why would he Give Sessomaru Armor of Shadows? It's a Wasted invocation, Warlocks can Wear Armor, and Sessomaru is Literally the ONLY 2 Character worth Mentioning in the series that ACTUALLY Wears Armor (The other is Sango), See that Black thing around his Waist that has a Grey bit going over his one good arm? That's Armor! Call it Light or Medium, I don't Care which but don't Waste an invocation on a Useless ability for a character that can just Wear Better(a +1 Studded Leather Will outperform Armor of Shadows simply due to the fact that it lasts more than 8 hours! You can get more than a +1 eventually anyway!) ! Give him Cloak of Flies instead, Reflavor it as just being poison Gas coming out of him he uses this move in his first Fight against Inuyasha, it's Totally part of his Kit! 5 Poison damage to anyone that starts their turn in Melee with him for the rest of the fight! - Holy Souly was a good Idea, but don't use it to get Healing Spells, use it to get Cleric only Buffs and sustained effects to Help him in Melee Combat, things like Shield of Faith, and Spiritual weapon (Flavor it as Extra Magical attacks from himself, like his Energy Whip), Speak with Dead (Yes he does this), Deathward (Not only can it be used to Prevent one Killing blow, but it also fits thematically since he Literally scares away the Reapers)... There's more to the Cleric Spell list than just Heals! Use that to Explain Sessomaru's OP Body and Demonic Resistances! If you absolutely MUST Give him Healing Spells, have him use them Exclusively on himself For the purposes of Representing his Natural Regeneration... And that's it, that's all I can think of for now, should be enough... Though I'd probably Give em a few more levels of Warlock to balance out the sheet rather than focusing so Heavily on Sorcerer, but there's nothing wrong with having as many as he gave em, Permanent flight is a useful trick to have (though not Strictly Necessary, The fly spell is more than enough, plus Sessomaru has a flying mount).

Well, there is a HEALER build you could do Mr. Tulok, though you might have to do several REDOS in order to make the build work. Just saying you should build Keyaru from Redo of Healer.

I believe it's a great choice to use Divine Soul. Very funny all this healing spells. But I miss the acid clawn he uses so much in the show. But .... BADASS GIANT WOLF MASS HEAL!!!!!
I can really only heal myself and regrow my limbs unless I'm injured with a phantom blade. I can also only bring someone back from the dead once. Had to learn that the hard way. So being a healer really isn't my thing. Things you didn't include in this build which I was disappointed in, my rot ability which breaks down anything it comes into contact with. If anyone tries healing themselves while infected with rot it will increase its spread and hasten up the process of it. I can stop time and include one other person in that stopped time. The first time you seen me in my true form I was only 15 meters. I can Create a pocket dimension to fight my enemies one on one surrounded with poison. My telepathy and teleconetic abilities. High immunity to holy attacks, so despite being a greater demon Im not affected by weapons that are designed for killing demons. I can cut down disembodied spirits, like ghosts, wraiths, poltergeist, and those that possess humans. I have other abilities as well but just thought these should have been included into my build.
So forgive me if I just missed it, but was there any mention of background for this character? I've watched the video a few times and never seem to catch what his background is
I may not be the best person to answer this as I think Tulok's takes aren't always the greatest buuuuut, to keep it simple, I believe it's a rebuke of people who gatekeep dnd by judging others who choose less than optimal spells and the like.
LOVE YOU DID THIS, But you do know he looses that healing sword and gets his own WAY more impressive sword in the anime right? feel this focuses WAY to much on a sword he rarely uses and abilities he allmost never uses instead of feeling like the powerhouse he is
Honestly disappointed with this build . The only "healing" he should ever have is revivify. He doesn't heal he only revives the dead and only if it was close to them dying so he could save the soul. He wasn't meant to be a healer. His dad just gave him a sword to save lives. Druid hexblade would have been more thematic. Give him proper transformations for his wolf form sooner. And a spell list to match his in show spells. Thornwhip and poisons and well as the lighting spells he learns later when he picks up his secondary sword. The one he used more than tensega. Just my opinion of course but this is the first time I've really disagreed with one of your builds from a character standpoint.
I tend to agree this didn't feel super well researched. I know Tulok isn't much of an anime guy so maybe he just watched season 1 and skimmed a wiki? Inuyasha is a long ass show and it gets pretty convoluted. Hear me out, what if Sessi was a MoM shifter to get natural weapons and athletics, and you just go straight Warlock. Pick up Revivify or Raise Dead with one of your Mystic Arcanum. Maybe also get True Polymorph this way eventually. I think it could be done maybe a little better.
@@randomim42 sesshomaru tended to use more spells in wiser ways the longer the show went on. Not really relying on his wolf shift for power and channelled it into well timed spells after wearing people down with sword swings and his poison whip. He typically finished people with a spell on level with the call lightning spell. Luring them outside so he could take advantage in the sky. I think he grew out of the need or want of his father's swords and realized his own strength and superiority in the sky. If you watch his positioning in battles he refuses to let people be above him. I think he needs the spells to command nature at high levels. Even the elements answer to him. He is charismatic yes because the man drips swagger. But his power comes from his wisdom in battle. And ability to access a situation.
@@J.capybara technically yes the longtooth shift is a stated to be a bite as a bonus action but so far as I'm concerned an unarmed attack bonus action for piercing is anunarmed attack bonus action for piercing no matter where in the body it comes from in flavor, especially since he has a habit of stabbing with his claws in a point iirc (it's been a really long time since I've watched inuyasha). So if we go how I went with just 20 Warlock with three Arcanum spells you could take Raise Dead, true polymorph (his giant dog form is much larger than a dire wolf I argue), and like Chain Lightning if you so desire a powerful lightning spell. You could also levitate at will with an invocation or use one of your spell slots to Fly before peppering people with eldritch blasts to wear them down. If you want and need more spell slots than your 2+ 1 Arcanum and cantrips, high level warlocks can just refresh their slots once per long rest whenever they want. Druid is probably better than the video but I think I'd still look into Warlock. If only I could be both Blade and Chain pact to make Jagen his familiar
@@tuckeredknight9193 I never actually noticed that he never lets anyone be positioned above him in combat. says a lot about him though, and it certainly makes sense.

Please please please do one of these for Mary Poppins.
Ok, but all the healing can be used to mess up some undead, which I think Sesshomaru would totally be down for
I just wanna double check something real quick.
Hmm. While I do like the build, I think it's disingenuous to call Sess a "healer," the Tenseiga moreso just revives.
I had a cleric in my party once who hated having healing magic, and would use it as sparingly as possible.
She also frequently tricked my Lizardfolk barbarian into giving her any money he would earn, as he came from a culture with a barter economy.
Sounds like my kind of cleric, I love a healer with an attitude
@@shellknight1323 She called herself a “self-server”, because she made a point of only ever healing herself.
i love playing the healerrr
Still pulling for Eglentine Price (Bednobs and Broomsticks), Winifred Sanderson (Hocus Pocus), Doctor Dolittle, Councilor Troi (Star Trek: tNG), Mary Poppins, the Reverend Doctor Syn (The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh), and Sir Dragonet King Arthur's jester le (Morte d'Arthur/ Idylls of the King).
Can you do Berserker from Fate/Zero ? I’d love to see that build and how you’d come up with different options
Okay, for once I think I WILL, actually, check out the sponsor for this video, if for nothing more than to know what won't happen. I have about $100 to my name right now, and I won't get paid until the 3rd, 22 days from now, and I guarantee that 1tb SSD costs more than I make in a month.
Living on disability SUCKS!
Also super excited about this build kensai monk mix?
Well, there is a HEALER build you could do Mr. Tulok, though you might have to do several REDOS in order to make the build work. Just saying you should build Keyaru from Redo of Healer.
I would love to see some other Rumic character builds sometime, though I guess it is questionable whether characters like Ataru or Godai even fit in a dnd game in the first place
Ranma maybe?
I think Rinne would be fun.... Necromancer artificer?
I'm a little disappointed to see another sorclock, but that's more a gripe on anime in general. An excellent build.
Hey I know ya gotta be part of the Patreon to vote for characters but I'd still like to give a suggestion if that's okay. I think a neat challenge would be to create Happy Chaos from Guilty Gear Strive or just anyone from that game.
I'd also love suggestions from anyone on how to do this in the comments!
Thanks.
I believe it's a great choice to use Divine Soul. Very funny all this healing spells. But I miss the acid clawn he uses so much in the show. But .... BADASS GIANT WOLF MASS HEAL!!!!!
Respectfully saying Sesshomaru’s dad is a demon so much distracts from the fact that he is also 100% a demon
Still waiting on Yoko kurama from yu yu hakusho
So, Celestial Warlock from the bit before the intro?
Surprised there was no sign if unARMed fighting in this build.
I just heard he's stopped reading comments RIP
I am predicting not-shifter for race
How to build: Aladdin from Magi
Battlemaster/Genielock?
How would you build Naraku?
Giorno would be really interesting to see
I’m just wondering how he does GER. Maybe with Wish?
So forgive me if I just missed it, but was there any mention of background for this character?
I've watched the video a few times and never seem to catch what his background is
Can you do GIR from invader zim
Step 1
Have a Dragon Arm Prosthetic
Has John Rambo been done?
Has Tulok ever done a build with the Thief Rouges fast hands feature?
Where did the "true strike" meme start? Which video?
Yo this maybe at the beginning of the episode was a BIIIG maybe if you’ve watched the show
I only started watching you recently so I have no idea how true strike relates to bigots is there something I'm missing
I may not be the best person to answer this as I think Tulok's takes aren't always the greatest buuuuut, to keep it simple, I believe it's a rebuke of people who gatekeep dnd by judging others who choose less than optimal spells and the like.
@@a.w.r3311 that's exactly it
Could you try making Adam, from Records of Ragnarok?
LOVE YOU DID THIS, But you do know he looses that healing sword and gets his own WAY more impressive sword in the anime right? feel this focuses WAY to much on a sword he rarely uses and abilities he allmost never uses instead of feeling like the powerhouse he is
How would you do Raziel from Legacy of Kain?
Can Patreon subscribers suggest new characters for the poll?
@@J.capybara You can get fly as a Warlock, buuuuuut counterspell is thematically appropriate for Sesshomaru.
Yes, but... Miroku when?
I kind of disagree that Lord Sesshoumaru is a demon I would say that Lord Sesshoumaru is a Fey.
Day 6 asking for how to play Buster Scruggs in D&D.

This is a FANTASTIC build!!!!! So true to character. he MIGHT not kill you
He doesn't read the comments anymore? That's kinda disheartening...
doesn't he also has poison whip claws for melee damage he uses it a lot with his sword while he refuses to heal but in hindsight you won't see this comment so whatever then
How DARE you not address *Lord* Sesshomaru proper, you pleb!
First? Pin? Never been first)
