Love the chopped exhaust sound not this and get rid of the cv carb buy the cm200 manifold and buy a pz26 carb cheap jet it done ad velocity stack too, custom exhaust no baffles the way to go done. Great looking bike!
so I made a chopper out of my Rebel as well.....difference is mine is a rat bike (I like when the rattle can paint chips off). The bars are tall, but EXTREMELY narrow. anyway, I noticed one thing that must be common for Rebels if you have tall bars - the tendency to sway when you ride. Maybe its just because we arent likely to push on bars that are shoulder height or above 🤣🤣🤣
I know the nighthawk and rebel share the same engine. Are the wheels and tires the same? I can get a hawk for cheap, wondering if the frame your running is for a rebel and it all swaps over? Thanks man
The Nighthawk rear wheel is an inch larger than the Rebel. Also the Nighthawk has a front drum brake and the Rebel has a front disk. So even if the rear wheel managed to fit the forks wouldn’t wouldn’t work with the drum brake. I made my frame from scratch. If you’re an average sized guy or bigger the rebel frame will feel very small.
@@fromthebackyard2415 thanks for the info! I appreciate your time getting back to me. Rebel was my first bike and yes it’s small. I think you did it the right way by building your own frame. I’ll check your channel and see if you have a build on that.
@@danhoy8356 are you trying to customize/modify in a similar way? I did make another video about the build and how I did it but I didn’t have actual footage of the process
@@fromthebackyard2415 yes sir. I was mostly wondering if one of the weld on back half kits for the rebel would work on the nighthawk frame. But after hearing you used a universal kit, I’m sure I can make it happen. Super cool looking bike you have
It’s been a long time since I attached it but I think I just mocked up how I wanted the bike to lean and then welded the kickstand bracket on accordingly

Its awesome. I want a small chopper like this for around my area

Dig the bike, I want to build something like this, got to find a bike to chop up, and track down a welder.

Bro I’ve got a 97 that I’m making a bobber out of now , these are bad ass little bikes
The engines are bulletproof! It was my first bike over a decade ago and its give me the least problems…
It looks all hard until you hear it driving lol
Nice chopper!
Put 23 inch Xr500 ft wheel on my rebel, factory axle from the rebel fit!
Whats the front tire?

I have CM-200 and i made a long fork chopper
How did you get the kickstand to work being lower?
