A month rent, if anyone want more cheap rents, go little far from Virar and you will reach Gujarat. Virar is very very far from Mumbai city. By the time you reach Mumbai, one can reach much before time in Gujarat state.

@@ganeshsingh5635 Look, there are different types of apartments / Villas in Vasai-Virar region. In Mumbai city limit's nearest point Dahisar, for a 2 BHK decent flat you will pay 2 crores. In the same amount in Vasai-Virar you will get a 4 BHK bangalow , walkable distance from station, in a super-rich neighbourhood with very upscale neighbours. In Vasai's Ambadi road I happend to vist few such Banglaows's while I was home searching. 2 cr was price at 2017-18. Not sure about current prices though. Even If you are staying in a equivalent-to-slum like society , it is still better than slum-redeveloped apartments of Mumbai. When I was searching for flat I happened to see one of the slum-redeveloped-societies in Goregaon. 1 RK in that society costed 3 times the price of 1 BHK in a decent well built township aparment in Vasai. The whole apartment complex in Goregaon west near Bangur Nagar, was stinking like Garbage. People staying over there, wasting their money will also proudly say " I am in staying in Mumbai, Virar is not even Mumbai" . I cound not even imagine living at that society, even if offered for free. If you happened to live in such an apartment in Virar, please look for better options. No need to go beyond Dahisar for that. Just search nearby you have many.

Only fools will say "virar is not mumbai " , " thane is not mumbai" and all and pay 10 times more rent to stay within a virtual admininstrative limit of Mumbai corporation limits! . Also Mumbai is within Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), though not within Mumbai corporation (MCGM). So based on the perspective wth which you look at it, it is well within Mumbai (on MMR perspective). Dont try to divert new migrants saying "not mumbai" and all . let new comers stay peacefully in suburbs with lower cost of living.
