My mom thankfully saw it as “artistic expression” because she’s a freelancer herself. She even went to my first FurFright and Anthrocon with us. She exclaimed she’s a sugar glider named Sugar Mama now lol
When I came home from the college dorms one spring break, someone had loaded up a bunch of VERY SPICY furry material into the print queue for the printer at my parents' house. That was a fun one to try to explain.
I meet another furry at work one day. I'm a train driver, and usually, when we arrive at the terminus station, we go for a break outside. i'm with my collegue, a "train chief", and he saw my phone wallpaper (wich is a furry art). And he look at me, smiling, asking if he can see the art. And I shit you not, he took his phone and show me a picture of his fursonna with the actual uniform of train attendant we wear in Belgium. A blue wolf in all his glory with the same uniform he is wearing, it was so good. We are everywhere :3
I'm lucky that my parents' exposure to my furry side has been really wholesome After I got my Waveeyes ref sheet done I showed it to my mom she used it to commission 3 pieces for me as a christmas gift that year, including physical prints of two of them (I've also used my favourite of the pieces as my desktop background ever since).
1.) You're incredibly well prepared for the "what is a furry" discussion; you literally made an acclaimed furry fandom FILM you can show them! 2.) So, where are these bulgy foxes? We'd like to decide these things for ourselves.
Next time you should replace all your wall art with cropped yiff. Don't worry mom they're just sweaty and flushed because they're having such a good time playing leapfrog.🤭
I'd be flummoxed by a question like, "Why do the foxes have such big bulges?" because it's like asking why the Hooter girls have such prominent cleavage, or why they oil up Jason Momoa's abs like a surfboard. Why are you asking me why something intended to be sexy is sexy? I realize, though, that a lot of people have limited exposure to things like weird art, representational art, and/or "cartoon animals" outside the bounds of Disney and Looney Tunes, so their minds *will* actually be blown by sophisticated or detailed anthro art (especially if it's sexy or mature). I remember when I put some framed entirely-safe-for-work Dark Natasha prints up in my office in a small rural town years ago, many people's minds were absolutely blown in an entirely positive way at just the idea of beautiful animal people who weren't just kiddie cartoon characters. My office was seemingly a catalyst for furry awakenings in several people who happened to pass through it! :D

@@AshCoyote It indeed would, like, one is a furry but then one finds their parents are into furry as well, maybe not deep due communities but, like like really LIKE anthropomorphic animals, have fursonas, "furry crushes". Maybe I should do that and freak my parents out 😹 At least that advert at the end was just a Felix advert and not a Kitty Litter one. Not sure but I have a feeling they are really trying their best to work me out these algorithms 😹
wow... that's... special..... while I do appreciate great piece of art, I'd rather NOT have spicy ones, except in my bedroom, and even then I would go sparingly (as in, only 1, and reversible with a SFW variant in case of snoopers) ...my mom knows what furries are since I did some explaining (the SFW part of it), and she was like:"as long as no one is hurt, all green lights here." I’m the hotel when my folks visit. My living room has a ton of furry art, figures, and sfw dakis. I used to hide the nsfw dakis in my room when they visited. I slowly started leaving some out after some visits. Now I don’t even bother. “If that’s the art you like”. 😂
My mother had an awkward (but caring) conversation about how the p*rn industry abuses it's actors and how watching it perpetuates this culture of abuse (very fair and good thing to communicate to your son) I just didn't have the heart to tell her that the stuff I'm looking at doesn't have actors let alone people in it.
Thankfully I was weird enough as is that it wasn't much of a surprise when my brother found out (he wasn't very supportive at first, but he eventually accepted I'm even weirder now) from art I had saved (not too fond of nsfw, so it was just stuff that I found pleasing to look at). My mom was very supportive from the start & even bought me ears, tail (Lemonbrat) & hand paws (idk who it was) on different occasions from etsy. Hilariously enough, she even let me make her a fursona. It's a manatee with bags under her eyes & a tiny bow on her head. Her name is Margaret. She even plans on getting a tattoo of a drawing I made of Margaret sitting on the floor with a blanket wrapped around her waist, fists in the air & a happy expression.
I'm glad I don't have anything showing as I have nothing printed, tho is it wrong I want to see this done as a comic more from the expressions and panic faces ?

@@AshCoyote Oh, thank goodness.
if you could make a movie about the furry fandom how would you do it i thought of a film where a human couple of man and woman who are furry fans go to a world called the world of anthromals i think the good studio to make this film is sony pictures animation i m brazillian may have translation erros so i thought of a film that is not just made for furries but for any type of person whether furry or not furry i can help produce ideas for your film i want it to be a film that doesn t make the public uncomfortable thats has good comedy and good lessons every time you release a new video i help with your ideas next time i talk about the design of the anthromals i saw the concept of anthropomorphic hands and digitigrade legs so i can help with the creation of the film i choose three people to participie russeltuller, olaffson, myfurrymind and Bardix official i may have ideas for your film in the next video bye i like your channel
