Brilliant version of Hey Joe by Willie Deville. Done mariachi style. Huh? At first I thought, WTF. But once the music started, I was transfixed. I never heard Hey Joe like this before. Complete with horns, violins, guitarrón, vihuela and even dancing. Beautifully done. Willie was so creative.
OK, I know Hendrix didn't make this song, but most artists copy his version. But not Willie! I'm sure Jimi gave him a thumbs up from above. I just love this version!

No hero here a disappointed cat who felt he never got the recognition he deserved. Don't get me wrong loved his good stuff and his "style", but hey. Let's be real. If he were a carpenter or an electrician?
