So not exactly sure what it's intended purpose is. I suspect it's some type of test function. In my playing with it the button worked as a bypass for the control panel.
You have to take the cover off, that's four bolts. Once it's off the top panel is attached with two cater pins just pull them and the top should come right off.
It's stuck on with adhesive it's pretty much a sticker, you can basically peel it up. The new one should have adhesive tape already attached. The old pad will likely fall apart when you pull it off.
Hey Scott. I have the same heater. It works fine but the digital display is blank. There are no numbers or visual display. It cycles and heats fine but I have no idea what the temperature is. Any suggestions?
Isn’t it customary when posting a fix it video to show how parts are disassembled to get to the defective part? My purpose for viewing this video was to make sure I took things apart properly to not crack original cover etc. geez. I’ll move on to find a more detailed remove/replace video. Thumbs down.
Thanks for your video, I had the exact same problem and with your video, made the installation of the membrane pad less stressful
hi...where to get that manual to download?'...please....
Thanks, this helps. However I would like to know more about the yellow button, what it does, how it is useful, please?

Will this work on the 42002-0007?
Genius! Thanks
How do you remove the control board enclosure?

Hey Scott, good vid. Question: how did you get the membrane button/readout board out? The main board is easy with the four screws. Thanks!

How do you know if a actual motherboard is bad?
I think he replaced the membrane only.
